FFWC: I turned off my alarm instead of hitting snooze this morning so I woke up an hour later than I was supposed to. I totally blamed O saying I was late because he had a huge blow out... he did not lol.
@starbuck, tit for good luck! waitwhat, I love the idea of stand and ride! Just because sometimes we have to walk for a while and their little legs get tired so sit, but that option to stand so they aren't slowing us down (and wind in their hair is a big deal imo)
waitwhat With B being not even 2, I would get a regular double rather than stander. O is almost 3 and still likes to sit. What I initially thought was to sell the travel system and get the double, but if you're my 100% on #3 then I would hold on to it. But you definitely need a single umbrella. So I guess my final rec is to keep the 2 you have, and get a new double.
Beautiful cookswithwine9. We both have blue eyes so there was never a question of blue eyes here, but I'm interested to see what blue Lilah's end up. Lillian's started out extremely dark and ended up more sapphire blue. Lilah's were very light and more gray at birth but are getting more blue now. I think they typically set around 9 months? (Edit: looked it up. Eye color doesn't "set" until between 1-3 yrs!!! What?)
Re shape wear: I have some high waisted contour "panties" that are ok. Definitely holds everything in, but it emphasises rolls further up and it's slick so my pants tend to slide down. I'm looking at getting a leotard style one with upper thigh control as well. I think that will correct at least one issue.
Lilly Pulitzer! Tons of mommy/daughter stuff, ESP once they hit toddlerhood. Not that I have scoped it out or anything 😳
We may have coordinating dresses for an upcoming family reunion.
They were out of stock of either my size or M's in matching prints at the Lilly store we were in this weekend. Better believe I'm already scoping out the website. 😁
And I think the list @tgrimes1989 provided has my H set up for Mother's Day gifts for the next 10 years. He should really send a thank you gift.

That 1-3 years drives me crazy ClassyMrsA. I want to know what color they're going to be now!! Although it's pretty much set that she'll have brown eyes and this gorgeous blue gray is just a tease.

Yeah. That's what shocked me most about babies when I had Lillian. I had no idea their eye color could change over time. My only solace has been that every single person in my family has blue eyes except cousins who got brown from the parent I'm not genetically related to.
Is anyone planning on doing professional 6 months photos? I keep meaning to look into it but never have time.
YES.
I'm supposed to call as close as soon as she can independently sit up for a good chunk of time. So not exactly 6 months, especially if she's a late sitter upper, but close enough.

Pondering.
We did them with B when he was 7 months or so--combined with family photos when we were visiting my parents in Maine. It was a great age to photograph--he was sitting up, very engaged/engaging.
I've thought about doing the same thing again this summer. Orrrr do we wait and do family photos when C is closer to one (and use them for a holiday card) and just have a mini session or whatnot done of her later this spring once she's sitting.

I'm going to try and do a dream feed tonight. I'm nervous that it will backfire and wake her up completely, but not too nervous since this babe is never one to complain about extra food.
waitwhat Don't feel too bad. We never did professional photos with either kid. And no Santa or Easter Bunny. I take lots of pictures and we do their monthly pics, but that's all.

So I just checked the photographer that did our newborn pictures and she's changed everything. She appears to only be doing newborn now and upped her price but a lot. Oh and our pictures are pretty much the whole site lol.
starbuck27 have you been opening it or has it stayed closed? H said it could last until tomorrow if you keep it closed. I dunno lol
We haven't opened it at all. The power company hasn't updated the website on when they'll get it fixed. This is so annoying. I guess we will see what happens in the morning. We're supposed to be heading OOT we may be able to drop it off at my parents' house in the am if need be.
This is not the first time my freezer stash has been in jeopardy due to a power outage. At least before it was winter and I could just put it outside lol.
He actually said it should last a couple days but it's probably a good idea to take it to your parents if it's not back on tomorrow. Hopefully the power comes back soon. We just dealt with a major outage here so I know how frustrating it is. But my SIL works for the power company so I know it's not easy on their end either.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with that on top of having no power starbuck27.
Out of curiosity I looked it up on Kellymom and it seems as though it'll be safe in there for awhile and research has shown that it might even be ok to refreeze thawed milk. That's new info to me.

That's a huge bummer. Would you be willing to email her and check? My photographer only advertises newborn photos, but will do any age afterwards if she started when the baby was born.
I can understand why she would put C all over her website. He's perfect.
tgrimes1980, D has an ear infection and the antibiotics are helping her have numerous blow outs a day. Thankful they happen at DC but I'm still stuck scrubbing her onesies.
Thanks sophiegrace and tgrimes1980! His NB pictures were adorable! I can't believe how little he was.
sophiegrace One of the reasons that I picked her was because she lives 5 minutes away and I figured it would be convenient to use her for other sessions. But I don't know. She was good with NB but she was very quiet and seemed shy. I couldn't tell if that was just because she's used to being that way with newborns or if that's just how she is. I feel like you need more personality with older babies. So I might contact her later but I'm going to look a bit more.

Bc he's so gdamn cute, no joke. C is one of the cutest little boys ever.

I think the reason I feel awful is because we did professional newborn ones with B. And not J. I meant to do them myself but never got around to it. I'm trying to keep up on his baby book. That makes me feel a little bit better haha.
I gotcha. I have a similar feeling concerning activities. I do a lot with Lillian and she did a baby swim class. I didn't do it with Lilah and I feel like I've deprived her of this great experience. But I simply couldn't have a baby in the pool and a toddler on the sidelines.
I'm trying to keep up with the baby book, too. They're hard!

We did professional pictures for DS1 and not DS2 also. We only did professional ones for DS1 because MH broke his elbow the day before our maternity shoot. We had to cancel and weren't able to reschedule so we decided to do newborn pics instead.
