The loss board is slow. I wanted to ask Rama and RM2013 a post D&C question. Can I create a thread and do the warning in the thread subject or is that bad form and needs to go on the proper board?
Trigger warning-
I had a D&C last June and I'm okay with answering questions, if I can. Feel free to message me. I'd also be ok with the thread.
STM's who were pregnant in the summer, did you wear Maxi dresses all day everyday?
Essentially yes. All the maxi skirts. I didn't even bother getting maternity pants, because the skirts were so comfy. And to save money, i bought a ton one size up at Wal-Mart. Worked great for PP too.
Same! And if I didn't wear a dress I was in bed naked...

Ummm I may be the odd one out. I actually preferred maternity shorts and boyfriend jeans with my first pregnancy. It gets so freaking hot here and I hated my thighs getting sweaty and rubbing together
I always have to wear tight shorts under my dresses no matter what. There are some really thin ones in the intimates section at Target that I like.

Go ahead! If you ever want to ask me questions, just tag me somewhere or PM me. :) Smores would probably also be more than willing to share.
I think your thread is appropriate both here and on the loss board, wherever you get the best responses and from the people youre looking for. :)
I just participated in a focus group about baby monitors and got a $75 Visa gift card out of it AND a whole new outlook on baby monitors.
Well, what's the new outlook? I need to know!
That I really don't care about most of the features! "What do you think about this one that can auto-play a lullaby when it senses movement?" Umm, I feel like that would startle me and/or my kid. "Do you like this one where the camera centers itself on your baby at all times?" Well, I'm pretty sure I can locate a baby in a crib by myself.
The process was interesting though! I'd never been in a real focus group before. They had me study 6 different baby monitors on an iPad, then fill out a survey about my opinions, then go into another room and look at the 6 monitors and their boxes on a shelf while a guy asked me questions about them, then go into another room and tell them my final opinions on my first choice and last choice and the features.
I'm always avail via pm for anyone. I'm also wondering if we should go warm up the loss board. While I still plan to be here it would be nice to have an appropriate place to chat/vent freely about the not so pretty stuff without dragging the rest of the board down, and I've got to believe there are other recent loss mamas that would benefit from more activity on that board.

Yes to all the maxi dresses and skirts. To avoid the chub rub I wear the Jockey Skimmies slip shorts. Short dresses are fine for most of second tri, but you hit a point where your belly makes it so you can't really cross your legs comfortably. Short skirts and dresses just won't fly at that point. Maxi all the way.

Group hug! Thanks guys. I'll post tomorrow.
riverraine my kids are at the ages that I barely remember to turn ours on unless we are in the basement or outside but obv use them when they are younger. The only feature I find helpful besides seeing them is when it reads the temperature in the room. I thought maybe you uncovered some amazing monitor that I didn't even know I needed!

My local working moms FB group clued me this consumer opinion company in my city that does paid focus groups on a random assortment of topics. I follow their FB page and when something pops up that seems like I'd fit the profile, I fill out a form. This was the first one I actually got called in for.

I've thought about making more activity on the loss board, too. But I'm not sure where to start.

Same here. I didn't feel any cooler in maxi dresses. I just felt my sweaty thighs and I had to constantly fan the skirt to get some air up in there.
