So....I just booked mine for May 7th and would love some ideas!

When will you have them done?

What are you planning to wear?

Will you use any props?

Will your SO or other children be in the photos?

Any shots you've found online that you love?  Or any that you've done in the past that are your favorites?

When will you have them done?
Just booked mine for May 7th...I'll be 29 weeks and some change.

What are you planning to wear?
I think I'm going with two outfits. For indoor photos in the nursery, a white tee and denim shorts. For outdoor, this dress:


Will you use any props?
So far I have Are You My Mother the board book, a tiny pair of shoes, and letter blocks to spell out his name.

Will your SO or other children be in the photos?
I think my husband will be in some of the photos, and also our pup.

Any shots you've found online that you love? Or any that you've done in the past that are your favorites?

I was thinking about doing a family photo shoot/maternity shoot but I don't have any specific ideas. We're so not fancy people so I would imagine it would be more casual and fun over artsy. We will probably do it in our yard. I doubt we would do any inside...

We're just doing newborn and family photos once DS2 is here. We did the same when DS1 was born. I'm not a fan of maternity photos personally, so just pass on those.

+1. I just can't picture myself hanging photos on the wall of me pregnant. I'd rather have tons of family pictures and the kids.

No plans for maternity photos. I'm not even sure I want to do newborn pics this time either. I spent so much money on them last time and I don't even have them hanging anywhere. My favorite picture ever of DS is one I took myself. I might wait a little bit to do family photos.

We will be doing new family pictures a couple months after baby gets here. I've never been one to do maternity photos because I just wouldn't hang them up. I might would've with my first though.

I didn't with DS but want to this time. Not just me, definitely with H and DS. I'm not willing to spend so much $$ on them. I'm still researching photographers and trying to book but I'm looking to be outside in late May/early June.

No, I'm still debating newborn/family photos. I took a bunch of photos of DS but it might be nice to get some professional ones with all of us

Ditto to this. Third baby and never had them done before. Newborn/family photos for sure.

Just booked mine for May 16th! I honestly would have liked them a month later. I'll be right at 30 weeks. But the price is right and I liked the photographer. She had a June 1st slot open, but I'm going to be out of town.

We're only doing one outfit, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm thinking dark jeans and a button down for H. I can't decide if I want to do dark jeans and a simple top or a dress. I'm going to go to Motherhood Maternity this week sometime and see if I can choose something I'll be happy with.

I officially booked mine for June 5th (35 weeks). For those of you who are doing them what are you wearing? I bought two dresses. Here is one of them. I don't know if I like the sleeves.

I'm wearing the black dress (see above post) for some, and then a white tshirt and jeans for a few, I think. Mine are next Saturday!

I just booked a family mini session for June 3, I'll be 36 weeks. It isn't a maternity session specifically but will double as one. I have no clue what I'll wear yet, I have to look through my girls' closets and figure out what I have that will fit.

toadandbuggie, I love the dress! If you don't like the sleeves, can they be tucked into the bodice to make it strapless kinda?

I don't know yet what I'm wearing, I need to go to motherhood maternity. We want to do simple. We're not dressy people, so H will do jeans and probably a collared polo-esque shirt and I'll do jeans and a cute top. I haven't found a top on Amazon, so I'll go in store to look. I need to soon, though! Pics are May 16th. I also have to find a swimsuit to take on vacation at the end of May because all of our hotels have heated pools.

Yes I was going to wear the hat too. I also have a tight red dress I was going to wear. The decisions are so hard!

I plan to wear jeans. I have either dark wash or medium wash. Here are my top options:

I own this one already in blue, considering it in the cream

I was also thinking about doing a white shirt with a maternity sash:

I'm not sure why they would! Maybe if you're doing studio portraits. I think if you're outside, white is fine. I googled pics and I think it's fine.
