Last year I just did a color theme, which I might do again (but different colors.) She is in love with Daniel Tiger, though. If I did any theme I might do that.
It'll be at our house, though. Counting just the relatives who live here it'll be over 20 people.

Two July birthdays just kick my butt. I want to take multiple days off work for each, but that doesn't really work when their birthdays are only 11 days apart.
My future 11 yo wants to go to the trampoline park and have a sleepover. At least 1 of the 2 are semi-planned!
No parties for us this year! I'm a little bummed because I do love to plan them, but I hate the stress of the RSVPs and such. We're going to Disney World in replacement of a party for all three of them.
We will still do their special day activities, which is sort of like a party but just for us! I think we're going to do the aquarium for DS2's birthday next month, and that's when we're telling them about Disney. I'm pretty pumped.
We didn't do a first bday party bc of the move, so I'm planning on a second party. Plan on inviting fam and friends - both from NYC and our local friends, who conveniently are also L's friends.
Will be low-key backyard BBQ affair with lawn games, I think. I'm now worried about the heat but I think it will be fine. I'll have to scope out the shade situation on the patio.

I'm not sure about theme yet, but DS is going to get two parties this year. I'm glad I enjoy planning/hosting/attending parties. My inlaws are big birthday party people and will be out of town around DS's birthday, so they are planning him an early one with their side of the family (20-30 people, which is just immediate family and cousins). They live about 3 hours away, which is one reason to not combine parties. DS is the only child of his generation for my side, so it is also important to them to have a party. The weekend after DS's birthday we'll have a smaller celebration (15ish people) either at our house or my parents' house (our yard is much bigger, but it might be nice not to host). It will also be special because my uncle and aunt will be visiting from Korea (arriving on DS's birthday), so they will get to meet DS and month-old DD (due 6/13). I will try to have the same theme so we can reuse decorations, but this will definitely be a big celebration year for our family.
No party this year. We will be in RI for a wedding on her birthday. We will probably do cake at the ILs the next day and invite some family over, but will keep it very simple. All of our families live in CT so they can at least see the girls. My mom will be left out, but she will just have to deal. I don't feel bad. Peyton's second birthday got snowed out. I'll make up for it in later years I'm sure.
We will probably do a Mickey or Elmo themed cake, or something with animals. She loves animals.

Donut party people- I've done this. My local donut shop let me buy donuts and glaze separate so we did a diy donut bar- so glaze and then sprinkles chocolate chips, and all the other sugar toppings you can think of.
I wasn't doing a party for o but we got a "free" one for buying a basketball hoop at our local Rec store that has like 10 playgrounds trampolines hoops and play houses inside. so we are doing that. Theme will be basketball- as he is obsessed.

We are doing a combined family/close friends party for DS1 who will be 8 and for Noah. If I do a theme it will probably be mostly geared to Noah, and probably "Little Blue Truck." That is his favorite book and it has trucks and animals, so it should be easy. DS1 may get a separate cake/or something, but instead of a friend party this year he asked for a day at a local amusement park with DH and I and maybe a friend. So I think that's what we will do as he's never been there and it has been a super long time since DH and I have.
I'm kinda hoping my friend and I will just combine our daughters parties (born 4 days apart), have it at some play place and be done with it haha. MOTY!
We are doing a smaller party at our house this year. Just family and a few friends. Puppy theme since LO loves dogs. Not sure about food yet. Maybe grill or BBQ catering from our favorite local place. These are the Pinterest ideas that I have so far.
cornpop311 If Target still has the dinosaurs in a jar, they were $1. We went to a party with those favors of the Dino jars last year and I saved my jar! It works great for so many things. Only negative is the paint they used chipped off easily.
I tried to get out of throwing a party, but it is VERY IMPORTANT to my H, so we're having a milk and cookies party (theme: if you give a JR a cookie). It'll just be at our house with coloring, story reading, and outdoor games. Hoping to keep it short and sweet.

We did Daniel tiger for dd1's second birthday. I had a cake made and we bought the trolley and figures to put on the cake. I found a way to make a homemade trolley from a diaper box it. I had a dress made for her with Daniel tiger. If you do that theme I would send the dress. V is not a huge fan and I would rather see someone enjoy the dress. I won't be offended if it is not your style and you don't want it.

cornpop311 have you seen these? My kids love them. We put them in the tub and leave them to hatch and the dinosaur grows them. My kids love checking on them to see how much they hatch each day. It is fun.

We are combining V and dd1's birthday. We are doing trolls. I am going to make the troll hair head bands. I am going to do these troll hair cotton candy/ice cream cone treats for the kids to take with them.

cornpop311, not sure if you are looking for a dino outfit, but Dylan has a dino shirt and a dino dress that I got off a Mini Boden bst page. They have a lot of cute dino things.

definitely not pinterest-y over here. as cute as they are, i don't have the energy for themed parties. we will probably have a joint family party for the kids (DS1's bday is in august)- either burgers/dogs or grilled chicken/salad and cake. i will probably let DS1 pick the food/cake because he's gotten kinda gypped for his last 2 birthdays- last year he had just had his tonsils out, and the year before that was obvy right after DS2 was born.

Juliette's favorite movie is The Little Mermaid so I'll be doing an Under the Sea type party for her. My mom, grandma and I love planning parties, so despite being 7+ months pregnant at the time, I think we'll have a good time getting crafty and Pinteresty.
Backyard BBQ event with water play activites. Cake & ice cream cups. No favor/goodie bags. No theme. I just don't have it in me. As long as there's "kitz" and "wawoo" and some bubbles, she's in heaven!
I didn't have an actual party for DD until her 3rd birthday when she understood it more, so I probably won't do much for DS this year either. If anything I'm thinking a cookout. Last year my husband was out of town and my friend came over and we sung happy birthday with cupcakes. I don't have any family near by and it's not always easy for everyone to fly out to visit. Though thinking about it now I might consider inviting them for a vacation. So the theme I guess would be cook out, pool party.

No party this year. Last year was so tough with W's many dietary restrictions and the logistics of planning a party in the city. And this year will be even tougher. We have a lot on our plate healthwise for W, so I think we'll keep it low-key with the three of us and a sweet...and maybe a weekend away. After last year, I think I may be team no-party-until-you-ask-for-one. We'll still celebrate, just maybe at the beach by ourselves instead of in the sweaty city during naptime.

I'm hoping that we will be living down south this year by Hunter's birthday. If we are, I'm just having a regular bbq at my parents house and inviting a few of our friends who have kids. He's July 2nd so we will likely make it a canada day/birthday party.
If we're still up north, we'll do the exact same but we only have 2 sets of friends up here to invite. We're not very exciting.
I'm pretty sure I'm just going to copy @pixypink24 's farm bday, because it was so adorable and Maya got a wicked cute red flannel romper that was too big last year but would be perfect this year
@officedronette sharebear05 a smoker makes a wonderful Father's Day present, you know so they have a few weekends to perfect their skill before party day (yes I got it for MH last year which so happened to work out for R's one-year)
