Ok, this is super random but has been burning in my brain all day. 1) Do you do your DH/SO's laundry? 2) For STM+, do you do the kid(s)' laundry separate? ETA 3) How many loads of laundry does your household end up doing a week?
1) Big fat nope. We've been married 5 years, living together 7 and I don't wash our clothes together or wash his clothes. We keep separate clothes hampers and each do our own laundry (wash, dry, and fold).
2) With DD1 I washed her clothes with mine. After DD2 came I wash their clothes separately and we end up needing to wash 2-3 times a week (full loads).
3) All told on a good week we have 5 loads of laundry and on a bad week 8-9 😳

My H does his own laundry and I make him fold it and put it away.
I do mine and the kids together. I put mine away and my nanny puts the kids away. My least fav chore is folding and putting away laundry. I'd rather scrub my bathroom.
1) We did separate laundry up until about a year ago. Now we combine dirty clothes into the same hamper and whoever gets to it first will throw it all in the wash. Which led me to discover a previously unknown pet peeve: he leaves his socks balled up when he takes them off! ARGH! I refuse to unball them and don't care if they don't get fully clean.
2) Usually separate, unless I need to combine his stuff with ours to make a full load. I hate doing light loads, feels like a waste.
I'm so curious to see everyone's habits! I guess because it's shaping up to be a bad week. It's only Wednesday and I've done 5 loads already. DH's hamper was so funky I decided to throw his clothes in the wash and it was so disgusting! Smelly, damp, and OMG yes the balled up socks!! I was like I would stab somebody if I had to do this all the time, and are all men this gross?

1) Do you do your DH/SO's laundry? Yes, for the past 7 years we've been married. I've always just washed our clothes together. 2) For STM+, do you do the kid(s)' laundry separate? Most of the time. I have a little basket in his room that I throw his clothes in at the end of the day. Sometimes I'll just combine it with ours. 3) How many loads of laundry does your household end up doing a week? I honestly don't know, I've never kept track. LOL
1) Do you do your DH/SO's laundry? 90% of the time, but I don't put it away. I'll fold it and put the basket in his closet. 2) For STM+, do you do the kid(s)' laundry separate? I imagine I'll wash the twin's stuff together when they come but probably do DD's stuff separately. Sometimes her stuff gets tossed in with mine if I've procrastinated too long and need to get it done. 3) How many loads of laundry does your household end up doing a week? 5-7 without diapers. Diapers adds 3 loads a week.

1. He does his own and it bugs me when he leaves it in the dryer for a week or it ends up in a pile on our bedroom floor 2. I do all of DD's stuff on its own unless there isn't a large enough load. 3. Since it's just me and DD my average is 3 a week (hers, my regular, clothes, and my gym clothes)
1. We both do it. Actually, he probably does more laundry than I do because I do more of the other chores. He's pretty good. Often I'll throw the load in when I get home from work, but he'll switch it to the dryer and then fold. We both put our stuff away. I usually put DS's stuff away. 2. We combine everything. I used to do DS's stuff separately, but it was a PITA and I would end up having more smaller loads. I'd rather have a few large ones. 3. I would say 5-6 loads a week on average. I tend to do 1-2 during the week and the rest on the weekend.

1. Yes, I've done his laundry since we moved in together 7 years ago. A lot of times, he'll put it up once it's dried and folded, but usually it's me. I don't mind bc he does other chores around the house.
2. Yes, I do all 3 of ours separately. Initially it was because I used different detergent for an infant. Now I use reg detergent but use the hand wash and low cycles on the W/D for her clothes.
1. DH does his own laundry because I ruined one shirt like 10 years ago! I'm not complaining. Sometimes if he's left clothes in the dryer I'll fold them but I don't put them away. 2. I was R's clothes separate because he always has a full load. 3. It varies but I'd say 2-5

1. Yes, I do 99% of the laundry because I am here to do it. H works long, unpredictable hours.
2. I wash all of our regular clothes together, mine, H's, DS's. H's work clothes get washed separately because they're usually covered in oil and fuel 😝. Jeans get washed on their own too.
3. Usually 2 to 4 during the week and a few more on the weekend.

1. We used to combine but that would mean he would help do my laundry sometimes and he would always screw it up now he does his own laundry forever and always 2. I do DD and will also do LO's, not sure yet if I'll wash all three of ours together 3. 5-6 loads a week , including other things like towels
1) Yes, most of the time. I think maaaaybe twice since we've been married he's done a load of his own clothes. Now that I think about it, he's never even washed one thing of mine. What a turd.
2) Ftm, but I'm thinking I will especially since I'm planning on cloth diapers.
3) Too many. H is a "I've worn it once now it's dirty" kind of guy, even if once was just to run to chic-fil-a.

1. I do 95% of the laundry. If dh needs clothes and I haven't gotten to it, he will do his laundry. BUT I only wash and dry and half the time fold his. I refuse to put it away. Will not. Nope. He has too many different kinds of shirts and pants. I can't tell them all apart.
2. Ds has his laundry basket. I usually wait until his is full or running out of clothes and do his in its own load. I am trying to get him to put it away. It is something he can do. So i just need to put the effort behind making him do the chore.

1. DH and I have one hamper that we put our dirty laundry in. I do the laundry 100% of the time. I fold and leave his clothes on the bed to be put away. I don't mind because he'd ruin my delicates and he takes out the garbage 100% of the time (which entails walking almost a block to where our complex has the garbage and recycling area). I also will leave his balled up socks they way they are and let him deal with it. Why do they need to ball up their socks just to put them in the hamper?
2. I do DS separately because of his detergent.
3. Man you guys do a lot of laundry. I do 3 max a week.

I do not do DH's laundry, he takes care of it. I do all the rest.
Sometimes I do the toddler's stuff on its own, sometimes I throw it together with mine. Just depends on how full the hampers are. I'm guessing with the arrival of #2 it will be one load of combined kid laundry and one of mine.
In terms of clothes, we do roughly 1 load/week/person. Maybe1 load/week of household laundry (towels, sheets, etc), we don't run out too quickly so I tend to let that stuff pile up until it's a full load of whatever. We also CD, so on top of it I'm washing a load of diapers every 3rd night.
I hate doing laundry in this house. The machines are in our dark cold basement and our laundry/bedrooms are on the 2nd floor.
This is the worst part of that chore for me, too. Didn't realize how spoiled I had been with main floor laundry until we bought this house with the cold, gross basement laundry room. It is sooooo low on the list of priorities, but I would LOVE to at least redo the room.
1) I only wash some of DH's work clothes. He does most of his + towels and sheets when needed if I haven't gotten around to it. 2) I washed DS's stuff separately with gentle detergent for a while. Now we all use the gentle detergent so DS's stuff regularly goes in with mine. 3) We probably do about 6 loads a week on average. More when DH is in football season because he has so many sets of clothes that get dirty every day. Plus he's a big guy so his clothes are big, too. During football season I try to do most of his laundry because his free time is so limited.
MrRama currently does laundry (I used to, but I hated how he did dishes, so we switched.) We've always done our clothes together. Clothes are only sorted between "things that get dried in the drier" and "things that get hang-dried" pre-wash.
Post-wash, everything is lucky to make it to the bedroom. Nothing is folded, practically ever (maybe two or three times a year...not an exaggeration), and we dig through our baskets. Once a month(ish), I might *MIGHT* sort laundry into "his clothes" and "my clothes".
If/when we have kids, their stuff will likely be washed separately at first (because we only do laundry on Sundays, and lezbereal babies can't wait), then with ours once their laundry slows down.
We do approximately 2 loads of drier clothes, 1 load of hand dried clothes, and sometimes 1 load of towels. Towels are typically done every other week, though.
I toss everything in at once We do about 4ish loads a week? Not sure because I basically just let it pile up all week then my husband or I decides to cave and wash. So much damn laundry for 3 people!!
Everyone's clothes are washed together. I think H and I are pretty good at splitting it 50/50, mostly bc he is picky about how his clothes are dried so he takes it upon himself to start the wash.
I think folding and putting up is also split pretty evenly. Sometimes we do it together because he puts my clothes in the wrong spots.
And I'd say maybe 4 loads/week? I've never really paid attention.
