I should add H helps fold and put away laundry if I dump the basket of clean clothes on the bed in his spot.
I wish I could bold and underline mobile. Because this is true life!!
If I dump or pile the laundry on his side of the bed, it gets done because he wants to go to sleep.
Last night it was folded on my side, he was so close to getting in the bed. I was like, please put your clothes away before you get in the bed. It was like he didn't even see it. Lol
1. I do it. Occasionally he will help fold. In general, his idea of doing laundry is to ask if I want to send it out for wash and fold or suggesting we leave it unfolded.
2. It gets done separately, usually twice a week. This is much more frequently than ours.

1) No 2) Yes we do DD's separate, unless she has something white or at risk of staining without immediate washing. 3) 5-6 which seems like a lot for 3 people, but some of them are smaller loads. ETA I have to wash my work uniform and dark jeans separate or they colour the rest of my clothes.

I am impressed....the laundry thread is super popular lol! It is interesting to see other people's habits. In our house if I don't throw the laundry in, it will never get done or the laundry bin would get too full to run a single load and I hate doing multiple loads in a day over the weekends. I will fold and put away most of the time or hubs will help me fold at night after the tot goes down. He will rarely put clothes away and if he does, he will only put his away and leave mine in the basket. I usually do the tots separately cos we sometimes add Borax to DH and mine's load and I am just paranoid. On average I would say we do about 4 loads a week including a delicate load which is pretty much most of my work clothes and under garments and every fortnight an additional 2 loads of bedding.
1) Do you do your DH/SO's laundry? yes, I'm the laundry person in the house but DH will help fold or put clothes away after they're washed. Occasionally he'll run a load of laundry if he's out of underwear or work clothes or something. 2) For STM+, do you do the kid(s)' laundry separate? I only do my baby's laundry separate because I still wash his in free & clear detergent. The big kids clothes are usually thrown in with ours. ETA 3) How many loads of laundry does your household end up doing a week? about 5 or so
Laundry makes me want to punch a puppy sometimes. I've been drowning in laundry these last few weeks with the exhaustion and morning sickness so when my husband noticed I'm starting to feel better and mentioned "so uh can we take today to get a handle on the laundry situation?" HE almost got punched. You can do laundry too, dude.
1) my husband does his own laundry and by that I meant 95% of his wardrobe gets dry cleaned so the local dry cleaners do all of his laundry and he washes and dries his gym stuff and undies.
2) I do big family loads of laundry since we all use the same free & clear detergent. Even though my boys each have their own bedroom and their own bathroom they use our master bed/bath for everything so their dirty clothes end up in my hamper anyways. Nothing belongs to just me around here.
3) at least one a day. We cloth diaper so literally I drown in laundry. We have made the break to disposables until I'm feeling better and I forgot how much easier it is. I love cloth diapering though so I suppose we'll go back to it soon.
