I gave F a 2 oz bottle of formula before bed after nursing for an hour. I set him on the changing table, went to get his PJs and when I returned, he was sound asleep! I know I sound like a broken record but I can't believe how easy and pleasant this baby is compared to my experience with DS1. It's kind of making me rethink my "I hate the newborn phase" stance!

My first born was like that. It is quite a contrast to the fussy cranky baby I now have LOL.
Enjoy your peaceful baby!! It is the best I recall those days fondly lol

Hang in there! DS1 was the crankiest baby ever and those days can be long.

I'm happy for you, but I'm also totally a green eyed monster. Lol

I'm sorry! I pretty much hated everyone who enjoyed the newborn experience the first time around because my kid was a demon. But I think every kid has their tough phase, so I'm sure DS2's easy days are numbered!

I know what you mean. My mom had FOUR easy babies. MIL said her first was a baby from hell but the other 4 were sleepy, chill babies.
My feet are still so swollen. I can't remember how long it takes to go away.
It took a weekish after my first - put your feet up and rub UP your leg, starting at your toes. Go up to your knees. It'll really help get the fluid up and out of your legs.

This is us! We have three year old twins that were so so hard as infants. One had bad colic the other hated to breastfeed and screamed. This little one is so easy so far and we are amazed! I give internet hugs to everyone with cranky babies, it's so hard

One month down though. (For me)
Lucky them! I'm just grateful to get one! And one month down is good. Hopefully things will get easier from here.

I'm not sure I could have handled two DS1s. You're amazing for getting through that!

I know right?! I pretty much just let what my mom says about babies go in one ear and out the other. MIL isn't as bad, she just loves to talk about how chubby DH was as a baby. Lol
Well my Keurig is fucked. I just de-scaled it on feb and it said to do it again. I filled it full of vinegar and it's not even running the vinegar through.
No coffee while having a newborn and toddler is what nightmares are made of.
Oh man, you have all my sorries. That is truly terrible. You need coffee!

The nurses told me lots of water would help.
My feet were so so swollen when I came home. I drank a ton of water, and it helps. Swelling was gone in a few days.
Just sitting here with babe, nursing while he deals with adorable hiccups. Haven't really slept more than 2 hours since Wednesday morning... hoping to get some rest soon.

... coming from the other three year old twin momma.. a singleton, even when screaming and angry at the world is 100 times easier. Asked my dh, he agrees I had singletons before the twins.. I'm not convinced I would have had more had my twins been my first!
It's 2am here but I feel like I'm always way ahead of everyone.
After a hard day of ds being inconsolable and refusing to nurse or take a bottle, we are finally settled for the night. Well he won't settle unless he is on me, so he is settled while I'm awake.

Hoping tomorrow is a better day for us both!
I'm glad you both made it okay through today. Tomorrow will be better!
jnow I was SO SWOLLEN. It took a week for it to go away.
mikaela20 I feel you. DD doesn't want to sleep in her pack and play. She was fussing about a half hour before the time to eat, so I brought her downstairs, and the plan was to pump and then feed her. I've pumped....and she's sleeping soundly in her rock and play. SO, I'm watching park and recreation at 2:30 am watching her sleep soundly. 😂

In Ontario. But I live at a higher elevation than most of the province so we tend to get more snow here.
It looked worse MOTN because the plow hadn't been through. Still looks like a good 6-7" though and more is expected today. Boo!
Thankfully, it will be a beautiful weekend so this will all be gone soon
