Anyone else having muscle stiffness and joint pain since delivery? Arthritis runs in my family, and I've always had a bad lower back and knees (I'm only 28 though!), and it bothered me a little more during pregnancy but I assumed it would go away after I had LO. Nope. Everything is so much worse, every joint hurts, pops and cracks. I'm going to see my doctor next week, but just wanted to know if anyone else has had or heard of this?
I'm also kind of an orthopedic mess. My joints feel really tight, kind of like I have tendinitis in my ankles, knees, and wrists. This happened following my first pregnancy, too. I remember asking my midwife at the time if it was because of the sudden decrease in relaxin, and she was just kind of like "uh, yeah, I think so!" Regardless, it went away on its own eventually.

So hungry, but when I try to lay LO down, he wakes up Perhaps I will make the 15 minute drive for Starbucks, I saw in my inbox this morning that they have a tiramisu flavor now!! I have money on my gold card and they are offering two bonus stars right now so it would earn me a free drink, but I don't know if I can get motivated to take LO out in the cold and ice just so I can have coffee :/ I'm whiny today and I don't know why...

I've been up with Beau almost all night. He's puked three times over night. He's finally in bed with me sleeping now. But now I have the other two wide awake and he (and mom) just seems to want to sleep.

@nursesouder - Pre-babies, we tried felaway when our two male cats were peeing on everything. We also bought extra litter boxes (1 per floor of the house) and made a concerted effort to keep everything off the floor. The peeing became more under control, but I'm not sure if it was the spray or not. Addendum - when we moved, the peeing started up again. By that point, our son was born and they were sometimes peeing on his things too. We ended up giving one of our cats to my MIL. No more peeing.

Sunday night = 6 hours stretch. Monday night = 6 hour stretch. Since 1:45am this morning = all the feedings! The six week growth spurt is upon us... But it's okay, because DS is at preschool! First day for him, and I am so excited (for me as well as for him). I was able to stay in bed until 9 (even though I was intermittently nursing DD), I made a bagel that hasn't been stolen and a eaten, my mug of tea is being drunk while it's still hot, the house is QUIET (aside from GruntyMcPigerson)...now I just need to get through the day without my nipples falling off.

Downside to getting to the pediatrician's office when they have a delayed opening, fussy baby in car seat. He's fine if we are moving or he's inside sitting in it. But he's not fond of sitting in it in the car for whatever reason.
Yesterday I got us a hotel at the beach for a night in march. We live about an hour and a half away from the coast so this will be a nice little getaway. On and I got a good deal on Groupon! Beach front view here we come!

@nursesouder I haven't tried the spray, but my cat did the same thing. He was unhappy that I brought a squish home and made it known by peeing on all the baby stuff, like the bassinet and the changing pad. I tried citrus spray and citrus cleaning supplies and it had kept him away from them. He is doing better now that he sees the baby isn't going anywhere

I wonder if he gets car sick? I was like that when I was a baby and I get car sick if I am not in the front.
My husband just informed me that I don't like surprises! Um what women doesn't like surprises from her husband (the good kind!)! And how long have we been together!?!? Is this man nuts!
My milk supply seems to be dwindling. I wish this wasn't so stressful. I also wish the mothers milk tea didn't taste like ass.
Mine seems a little lower too. I pumped last night while feeding the other side, something I do every night before bed and only goy .5 oz compared to my usual 2ish. I started taking fenugreek again. We will see what happens.

I have to go get more storage bags for my pumped milk but I have to find room in my freezer first! I have almost 300oz frozen within 3 weeks! I was upset LO didn't latch at all but hopefully I won't have to pump past 3 months!

DH spent $80 on this nerdy card game the other day. I asked to go to a concert tomorrow that costs $60 for both tickets and he thinks that's too expensive. Selfish much? That's SUPER cheap compared to the concerts I usually go to anyways. Yeah, my mom told me she could watch Aylah so we're definitely going to that concert. I also haven't spent any money on myself in a very long time. I deserve to enjoy this.
Trying to pack for 2 kids, your H and you in 10 mins bc your house is full of fumes bc your H decided it was a good idea to paint doors that should have been done before LO came around, is impossible. I know I forgot something. Luckily we are only going to the IL house 10 min away. But still! Grrr! I had things to do in the house today like laundry. Sorry for the rant. Donuts and coffee for all who got through that
Glad to hear (but not really) that I'm not alone with the cat pee problem.
So Owen is in his room napping in his crib, trying to do it daily to decrease problems when we move from RnP to crib at night, and I'm listening to him on the baby monitor. I really was against the monitor because I've seen too many episodes of Ghost Adventures and I'm slightly freaked out!

I have discovered chewable Motrin (for toddlers). Best thing ever!
When you spell Oreo it sounds close enough to the actual pronunciation that it won't fool a toddler.
C outgrew her sleep sacks. Ordered new ones that were supposed to arrive today, but the package was delayed by weather. Boo!!!
I can't imagine a baby outgrowing a sleep sack by weight before height so it irritates me that they list the weight guidelines on the tag of the halo sleepsacks.

The dictator had his one month appointment today! He gained 2 lbs since birth He's still a peanut at 8 lbs 7 oz but the ped is happy and so are we! He also grew 2.5" He got his hep B booster today and thankfully didn't freak out too badly as he had already eaten the bottle I brought. Oh and he also had a poop explosion all over his blanket/me. Yay.

LO had a weight check today and was up 11 oz from last Wednesday, to 8 lbs 14. FINALLY over his birth weight (8 lbs 10). We get to start trying to wean off the supplement. I'm thrilled but scared--I want to get back to breast only, but I'm terrified he'll drop weight again. Fingers crossed.
Ever since yesterday at noon, LO had been fussy, won't let me put her down, and is fighting napping during the day. I put her on the breast and she seems content for the most part, sometimes she cries then too. Is this what a growth spurt is like, even at 1 month old? ILs are flying in today and I'd hate for her to be fussy the whole time they are here.
Z finally fell asleep!! Thank goodness! She didn't go down until 1am and then she was up every 2 hours after that. It felt like we were back to when we brought her home. Then she woke up at 9am and took a tiny cat nap around 11am but for the most part she's been wide awake. She got fussy so I tried playing music and instead of hitting a baby Beatles lullaby track I hit Pitbull and she instantly stopped crying! Lol Fireball is now her current jam!

Mommy&me barre class is HARD! LO slept in her car seat the entire time - I don't know how it's going to be when I have to wear her too!
Nursing her now (typing one handed) and she has the grossest smelling old man farts. What did I eat? Snowing again, but it is the pretty big flakes that look like you're in a snow globe, so I don't mind. Have to pick up DS from preschool soon. The quiet luxury of only an infant at home will soon be over. but he is there again tomorrow! I'm finally going to be able to get some errands done!
