Happy birthday to L wineallthetime ! I felt like 2nd LO's first year really flies by compared to first kid's
I would totally by the dryer balls ladystrat . C ha really sensitive skin and my pedi had told me to not even bother w "sensitive" or "no scent" dryer sheets as they would still irritate him. So it would be nice to have something in the way of softening.
In the interim maybe try putting a little distilled vinegar in the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine.
I am guessing this does not make the clothes smell of vinegar or you wouldn't have suggested it?

Nope, it doesn't. I have been using it with my towels since you're not supposed to put fabric softener in with them and it's been working well. I even think it helps with smells.
C had a meltdown last night that he's the only kid in the neighborhood without a swingset. He's right but our yard is the size of a postage stamp. Nonetheless, I've been spiraling on small swing sets all day. Dh is not on board.
2 of our neighbors have gotten swing sets in the past few months. Last night B was asking me if we could get a "playground." I really don't have a desire to have one of those in my yard (corner lot that EVERYONE can see).
LizInFL I have my sister, BIL, their three kids (12,9,5), my brother, SIL, and their daughter (2), and my parents in town for the next ten days starting tonight. I will drink with you.
*for the record I'm super exited about my sister and brother being here and it's going to be a fun week. But I know inevitably my parents will start driving me crazy, and it's just going to be chaotic.
melaniesue05 , Cadence already corrects me when I say the "wrong word". "Mom. You MEAN xyz NOT abc"
Sam does this all the time. He and his friend traded toys for the week and he's been obsessed with the toys. Every time I say "pick up your transformer", he says "No mommy, you mean R's transformer!" Then he'll ask me over and over again why I said it was his transformer. When I tell him I made a mistake, he says "Why did you make a mistake"
trtlcrzy, am I laundering wrong? I always put fabric softener in with my towels.
I read somewhere that you aren't supposed to use fabric softener with towels because it decreases absorbency. I think it was from Martha Stewart or something.

When my parents bought my childhood home, one of these orange buoys (major boating area) was already tied to a tree in the yard, so they just left it there for me.
We used to go nuts, jumping off a picnic table and swinging on it. Thank goodness nothing ever happened aside form fun times.
Yikes cagoldi! That's horrifying. I still don't understand what was different about it from a regular swingset which can break too, but I think I'll just enjoy my ignorance on that one since it sounds awful.
I'll spare you the gory details, I think my sister is more traumatized from having witnessed it than I am from the injury.
Suspended from a rope, my curly hair was like Velcro.
Those are probably the only things you want to know.
I totally spaced that I have a work meeting tonight. Luckily DH called and reminded me earlier. MIL showed up at 4:15 to watch the girls because I thought the meeting was at 5. Turns out it's at 5:30 so I stopped for Starbucks on the way. I'm also going to get a carwash because why not.

From now on I'm just making sandwiches for dinner. I'm tired of cooking only for the big one to pick at it and the little one to straight up refuse it. Grrr

Millie got sent home from school w a fever. Her tonsils are super swollen. I'm worried the strep never went away. We just finished her amoxicillin on Tuesday.
And I'm out of wine. And chocolate.
klongoria11 I made an old BA recipe and it was a hit with everyone. And now I know M loves fresh green beans!
