goldenlove3 and sophiegrace We have the same one (hand me down from my sister) and I absolutely hate that tub. Even with the sitting position they look so darn uncomfortable. And goldenlove, I always feel terrible because Alecs nuggies seem to get crunched on that ridge - in either position. I am in the market for a new tub too.
tgrimes1980 what's for lunch today? I thought of you because I have a stupid salad and I DNW.
A salad.
That's what I have as well. We'll see if I actually eat it though. One of the lunch deliveries for today is Chicken Shawarma from the best Mediterranean place in town. And then we also have a food truck coming today with all this on the menu:
1) Vegetarian/Chicken Fried noodle
2) Bacon Chicken Katsu Burger with fries
3) Indonesian Beef Rendang (Beef stew)
4) Beef Poutine-Yummy Box style
5)Okinawan Taco Rice- Mexican-Japanese flare
6)Orange Chicken rice with Chop-Chop Salad
7) Ahi Poke tuna with steamed rice and Seaweed Salad

kleigh, I'm dying at nuggies! I call them huevos, I don't know why.
Re: bath tubs. We don't use the baby bath tubs. MH just holds his head up with his hand and lets his body float. And washes him that way. Probably not the easiest way to do things, but we do joint bath time with DS1 and it seems to work best for us.

Dead at nuggies kleigh. I'm laughing so hard I'm shaking.
jubilantsquirrel except for what's at county fairs (if that even counts) I'm not sure I've ever seen a food truck, let alone ordered from one. They sound so delicious!! I would have to keep working just to be able to pay for all the food I'd eat.
waitwhat, yes there was a mesh sling that we removed when she started trying to do crunches.
LizInFL I vote flamingo, but then again L takes her monthly pics with a flamingo stuffed animal so I've got a soft spot for anything flamingo.
I've been trying to remember who did the monthlies with a flamingo!!! For weeks! I got M an adorable flamingo tank top onesie and couldn't stop thinking about it. It's from Carter's!

I think I'm up to about 6 different flamingo outfits for this summer plus 1 flamingo swimming suit, but I don't know if it will make it to summer. If it's got a flamingo, I buy it. Great motto to live by 😉

sophiegrace, girl, you need to get yourself to a food truck stat! They're all over the place here. Most festivals/events tend to have them. There's a beer festival in June and a wine festival in July and they both always have a ton of food trucks. You can't go wrong with alcohol and food trucks. The two I love the most are the pie one that comes to work and the waffle one I see at festivals/events.

I'm sad that my work stopped doing a food truck rally. We switched food services and they don't do them. Selfish bastards! My favorite was probably the brick oven pizza.

Right?! Until I came here I didn't even know that some targets have grocery stores and Starbucks in them.

A food truck rodeo sounds like my kind of rodeo waitwhat!
Seriously though, I need everyone to come visit me in Seattle. We'll go to all the best food trucks and then I'll take the beer lovers to Ballard to brewery hop and the wine lovers to Woodinville to tasting room hop. Then we'll all head out to Eastern WA to the Bavarian town of Leavenworth where we'll rent a cabin, buy all the cheese from the cheese shop and float the Wenatchee river. There's also a couple breweries and several wine tasting rooms, so acquiring alcohol won't be an issue.

I think you need to move. If not for you, then for the well being of your child. How can you let her live a life void of food trucks and super Targets?!

Agreed.
If only I could convince H to move to one of the many places we research on Redfin every Friday night while watching house hunters.
tgrimes1980, our lunch situation is pretty much the only thing that keeps me coming to work everyday.
Seattle is the king of food trucks. I'm so jealous. And starving.
I'm gonna give Seattle the benefit of the doubt as I've never really experienced their food truck scene, but we are pretty well known for amazing food trucks, too. Just sayin. I'll have to go back to compare. Oh darn. Lol.
Anyone want to come to Detroit? I swear it's not as scary as the news makes it seem.
I will have to go to Michigan eventually if I want to visit all 50 states. I've heard DC is really dangerous, but I've gone there and enjoyed it so I'm sure Detroit has its strong points, too!

ClassyMrsA It's seriously come a long way! Downtown is awesome. It's outside the downtown area that isn't so nice. But there's a lot more exciting things to see in Michigan when you eventually visit. You have to go up north!
Ok I'll admit I was very skeptical of Detroit but if you insist it's not just broken down car factories and scenes from 8 Mile then I'll come visit goldenlove3 !!!
Also Seattle is on my bucket list. Basically every place is on my bucket list. This list is ranked in order of most likely to least likely to quench my desire for alcohol and food. New Orleans (though I've been there a bunch and got married there) holds the #1 spot forever and will never get checked off for the record.

kleigh, New Orleans is at the top of my list, too. For the past few years I've been telling MH that I wanted to go there for my 30th birthday, but that didn't work out since I had a two month old. I'm hoping we can get there in the next year or so.
And to be fair I am not one to talk (re Detroit)... There may have been these viral things trashing the next city over from me (city I work in actually)
Family Guy (actually I'm pretty sure Seth McFarlane is from Fairfield so I could see how he knew about Bpt): youtu.be/Js_s-CkdUCc

Haha kleigh That scene of 8 Mile where he's on the bus is filmed on actual 8 mile, but that is the "bad" area. It stretches so far across Metro Detroit and the rest of it is nice. Actually my parents live right by it and our lot is too. I promise it's not all bad But I mean, there used to be a blight tour. Not sure if it's still a thing.
And I really want to go to NO, especially for the food!

waitwhat, that's how I feel about the east coast. I never leave the west coast. Even when we've gone on vacation to Mexico, it's on the west cost part.
tgrimes1980, MH says if we ever decide to visit TX we'll go to Austin. But I think I'd visit Houston, and maybe Dallas too.
hangry, yes, I love Vancouver! We were just there last summer for a few days. MH dragged me to all the breweries which mean since I was pregnant and couldn't enjoy the beer.
