DS is 6 months old today! We've got his checkup this morning with the doctor. Shots aren't booked until next month (we do them with the public health nurses here).
No other plans. I promised DD we'd hit up a park, weather should be nice. My mom said she'd stop by later this afternoon. Hopefully DH and I have time to go for a bike ride. He has a hockey windup at a bar downtown this evening.
We're all about wins and losses over here this morning. Wins: baby slept 7:30-5:30. The big pooped on the potty without prompting and while I was busy- got his own pants down and everything. Everyone was in a good mood, fed, and dressed on time. Losses: baby spit up twice and almost rolled off the couch. The toddler had the most epic meltdown fit at drop off after being told he couldn't bring his toy into school. I had to carry him into the building kicking and screaming and then go back for the baby. He was still hollering when I left.
I didn't get a lot of sleep last night - we had large hail that was hitting our house so loudly until almost midnight. Then DS2 got up and cried and yelled loud enough to wake me up (DH put him back to bed) - somehow DS1 and DD didn't wake up from the storms at all. Then the wind started, it was whipping against our house starting at like 4am. I really might go to bed at the same time the kids do tonight, because this is ridiculous.
DD woke up with a goopy eye and nose. I'm hoping it doesn't really turn into anything - I took her to urgent care last weekend b/c I thought she might have an EI but she was all clear, and then she'd seemed so much better all week until this morning. No idea what's going on, maybe just a cold.
The big is at daycare today. Thank f*ck. After his turd_ness yesterday, maybe he'll sort himself out today.
I bled again last night, but there's nothing this morning. If my f/u ultrasound could hurry up and be booked (just waiting on a call) that would be great.
DH is home sick today, he's got sympathy morning sickness (MUAHAHHAHA). He was so sick when I was pregnant with DS. He had the vomiting, the weight gain and tiredness. Me thinks maybe another boy is the womb fruit.
fem, ksyknelvr73, sorry for all the bad sleep. Almost the weekend! becole Wins/losses are a good way to look at that morning, wow! Hope DS' mood improves by the time you pick him up.
Gushing rain down here. Not much going on. I haven't had any free time to myself the past two nights because of chores and things, so hoping to get a chance to relax and do something for myself tonight.

LOL.
I hope everything is okay with the baby, snuff. Hope you get a call to book today.
becole don't you love the toddler meltdowns?! Morning meltdowns are the worst. Hopefully pickup won't be bad lol The one thing I hate more than anything about my job is coming into work and immediately getting an email that puts me in a mood. Like, at least let me finish my coffee before shitting on my day. My boss ALWAYS does this. I'm currently working on fixing something I did yesterday because he neglected to tell me an important step that needed to be done. Like, dude, might have helped knowing that from the getgo. And he is all "ohhh I know I should have probably told you this from the start but..." UGH. Luckily today is my Friday. I have a meeting with my boss at 2pm to "discuss how m my working from home is going" from my perspective and his. Should be interesting. If he even tries to tell me it's not working for him, I'm going to go off. As for my cherubs, DS was the meltdown king last night, so that was fun. DD's bum is looking MUCH better thankfully, and she seems much more comfortable. She slept from 915pm - 430am, so I will take that as a win!
becole - Those are some big wins! Hopefully they outweigh the losses.
adouces06 - I hope your conversation with your boss goes well.
My little bub has two bottom teeth so far and is definitely working on one more on the bottom. My mom just called to tell me that he "is not well" and when she touched his gums (to the left of his current teeth) he screamed. I forgot to put the Motrin in his bag, so she's running to the store to get some. My poor baby boy. Teething is the pits.

I wish DD would cut a tooth already. The drool is just out of control and has been for a couple months now. They change her outfit at daycare at least once a day if not more. My laundry is out of control. UUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH hurry up teeth.
Yesterday was our anniversary so we had our traditional surf n turf dinner at home. More like DH fed me while I was holding crabby pants most of the night. She was happy and pleasant as long as she was being held. She has been sleeping very well these days though so I will deal with the clinginess.
+1 for the teething. Please for the love of all that's holy, cut through already!

Hope you guys had a nice anniversary jillian! I feel you on the holding a baby while eating. If we ever go out to eat, that's how we end up too. Eating in shifts
Dd1 had preschool this am. Both girls are napping now. I am getting period cramps I think. I've had two painless periods pp, which happened with dd1 too. Then the cramps came back with wrath. It's raining here too. No plans this afternoon. I'm tired. My.house is finally fully back in regular order after dd1s birthday party. My work does not need me any days I offered this month. It's the first time it's ever happened and I'm kinda stressed. I'm sure I can pick up some weekend time, but still. @snuff9861 hope you get your f/u us call asap. Boo to toddler meltdowns, but so glad I'm not the only one.

Hey ladies. Took the toddler to the dentist this am. We got donuts beforehand and had a lovely morning all the way up until daycare dropoff. Our dentist has tvs on the ceiling with kid movies playing so she laid on the table and stared like a zombie while they cleaned her teeth. And Then when I dropped her off at daycare she turned into a screaming maniac and had to be peeled off of my leg by the teacher and held as I ran out the door. Always a nice way to leave the kid.
Home from our playdate trying to get O down while the toddler has quiet time.
I'm going to try to say this without sounding judgy-the last two play dates I've been to in my mom's group the houses are so packed/messy it almost stresses me out being there. I mean my house is by no means clean, but I don't see how you can live with a third of your living room just a pile of boxes/junk. She was having to shove stuff aside to get the front door open. I mean it's their house and I don't think less of them or anything, I just don't know how you can stand to live so cluttered.

Every morning I check G's mouth for teeth, and nothing. Not only does he have the drool, he also has a runny nose. N was the same way when he was teething, so we expected this, but I also feel like this has been going on for months.
adouces06, same thing happened to me this morning. Good luck with your meeting! @snuff9861, I hope you get the call for the u/s soon. Happy anniversary jillian! We went through a phase with G like that; I ate many a meal with him on my lap. Stay safe, iwantbacon!
Today has been a weird day. I was in a good mood this morning. G went in just after 8 last night and didn't wake up until I was getting ready to leave. A box truck wouldn't move over to let me merge onto the highway, then someone nearly turned in front of me as I was turning into the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. I just hope to be in a better mood before I get home.
jillian, Yummy! Sounds like a delicious dinner. Happy Anniversary! vavavictoria, Sorry to hear the rough drop-off. Toddlerhood is all about taking the good with the bad. And how quickly it can change.
Well I got myself all worried for nothing. Boss has no issues with how my working from home is going. He wanted to make sure our VPN was working well for me. Cool. One less thing I need to stress about. Today has been going by surprisingly slow, but I have gotten a lot done. Just means less stuff for me to do this weekend!
I just had a 90 minutes meeting with our financial advisor. That's enough adulting for the day.
DH is off work today so he's home packing the kids' suitcases for a weekend trip to see the in-laws. As much as I'd like to trust him, I will be going through the suitcases tonight to make sure I approve of his choices.

I usually end up packing for my husband too because he's so bad at forgetting things.

Newp. Not gonna happen. He's on his own. He used to travel quite a bit in his last job so he's got the packing thing down. I'm actually jealous at how efficient he is at it. Probably has something to do with no agonizing over every outfit.

I refuse to pack for DH. If he asks me something like "tell me a quick list of things I need that I might be forgetting", then okay....but otherwise, no. I am already packing for myself and 3 other little humans.
All this to say, last year DH forgot to pack underwear for our beach trip. We go to a beach that is pretty remote and the closest place to even buy underwear is an hour away. I was pretty irritated.
