C slept from 7 to 515! Magic! Of course I then decided to pump the other boob after feeding her and then she decided one boob wasn't enough and is finally back asleep at 630 and I have to wake her up for daycare in 15 minutes but still. I got 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Today is my day off so I'm going running, cleaning the house a bit, and figuring out what to wear for our family photos Easter weekend.
I have woken up 2 days now with a nasty headache and congestion. I felt fine by the end of the day yesterday, so hopefully its just the funky weather.
Tomorrow is date day! We have gone out without the baby before, but never just the two of us alone. Tailgating and Phillies opening night!! I'm so excited. I love being at the ballpark.
Its raining on and off. I hate spring because i HATE the rain. I dont think we're going to playgroup, DD is heading down for a nap so i don't want to interrupt her.
Tonight DH and I are going to the movies, I think we'll likely go see Power Rangers. Other than that nothing exciting going on here.
H slept from 7:30 pm - 4:00 am last night. You guys, this is the first time since Christmas Eve that he has slept through the night. I feel refreshed AF. He really isn't into BLW at the moment; however, my neighbor gave me about 25 jars of food that she didn't need anymore and he's been eating that - he probably ate about a 1/2 jar of peas and another 1/2 jar of banana/apple combo 30 minutes before we started the bedtime routine so maybe that helped? I will buy ALL the jarred baby food if I can get this long stretch at night.
I'm at work today. Quarterly reports are due by COB so I'll be working on those. No plans for the weekend at this point besides the normal errands and E's swim class.

My kid is still back and forth with sleep. I told y'all he sttn Wednesday night. Well last night he woke at 10,1:30,3:30,5:30 . We even stripped him to make sure there wasn't another hair on his toes. He ate all night long so I know he's growing but then I'm like- how did he sleep so well the night before. It's so frustrating and weird. This is why we should just be able to stay home the first year. I would be so much better at home napping with the kids than here at work.
G slept from 8-7:30 last night. He also took a 45 minute nap yesterday in his crib! Now if only we could get N to sleep past 5:30 and G to nap on a regular basis, we'd be good. Yesterday we had torrential downpours that I drove home in. When I got home, MH told me that N was very worried about me driving in the rain. That boy can be so sweet when he wants to be.
Tonight, the boys' day care has their annual art show. All the classes do projects, including the infants. I cannot wait to see the boys' artwork. Tomorrow, N has swimming, and we're going to go to an egg hunt at one of the local churches. I also have to go shopping for Easter basket stuff and outfits for the boys.

Hooray for sleep! DS started sleeping so much better after we started him on baby food, and he wasn't waking up starving. Could it be coincidence? Maybe, but I don't think so.
I don't think teething was DS's issue yesterday. My mom said he slept on and off all day and just wanted to be held, which is not like him AT ALL. When I picked him up and brought him home, his rectal temp was 101.6. He slept great last night, though, and was fever-free this morning. Hopefully he just had a little virus he was fighting off and it's all gone.
DD1 was eating her breakfast this morning and her molar fell out. It had been loose, but she wasn't expecting it to fall out just yet, so she was hilariously giddy about it. You had to be there, but it was so funny. I immediately set a tooth fairy reminder on my phone... after contemplating telling her that the tooth fairy isn't real. LOL
vavavictoria, yay for sleep! jillian, hope the congestion clears. Your date night sounds awesome! I love Citizens Bank Park; please have some Chickie and Pete's crab fries for me. Those are my favorite part of going to games there. @snuff9861, it basically rained here all week. I was so glad to see the sun this morning. Have fun on your date. jcrewgirl, our pedi actually recommended giving solids in the evening to help fill G's belly before bed. We've been doing a veggie at dinner time, and MH added in oatmeal at lunch to see if that would help him nap. If it works, it works. So glad you were able to get some sleep!
jwinct, I've noticed in the week that we've been giving G solids that he does not wake up as hangry as he was waking up before. Hopefully that will continue.
So since I've never done purees before, how much should a six month old be eating a day?
As much as they want. Lol. That was my guide. Keep feeding until they stop. I think I remember DS going from half a jar to a jar and then 2 jars per meal- that's when I just went to table food and thicker stuff.
So since I've never done purees before, how much should a six month old be eating a day?
We make her food so 4 cubes is equal to about 4oz. She also ate an entire banana the last 2 nights. She eats that twice a day. We might start adding some fruit in with the breakfast bottle on the weekends.
jcrewgirl I think DD is having one whole jar and then also some cereal, so she's eating twice a day. I need to talk to daycare today and see if she seems like she is ready to eat more or if she's good where she is.
I'm SO DAMN HAPPY it's Friday. This has been the longest week with work and I'm exhausted. Of course I didn't go to bed early like I had hoped last night. But DH has a game tonight and so once the kids are in bed, it'll be easier to go ahead and get in bed. Since DH has been on spring break this week, he's been very insistent about me staying up and hanging out/watching tv, etc with him. I do feel like we've been able to spend more QT together but it's taking a toll on my sleep big time.
So, DH thinks that DS2 may be sleep walking sometimes. There are times when he gets up MOTN and he is definitely awake, usually when he's wet and he is asking for a new diaper (but some nights he stays dry, so who knows). But there are other times where he kind of stands in his room and just cries for us and doesn't even open his eyes but won't get back in bed without us coming in there. I don't know what to think. Luckily last night he only got up once, but he's been up between 1-3 times every night for the last few MONTHS.
And here's a funny/omg story for you. DS1 told me two nights ago that his penis hurts. I was asking him to clarify, and he was telling me that "sometimes it goes straight, like this, and it hurts and it won't lay down". Poor thing. I definitely didn't laugh in front of him, but I had to chuckle about it later when talking to DH. I also sent DH to talk to him and tell him what to do/how to handle it. I'm surprised we're dealing with this right now, but DH assures me that it's normal.
jcrewgirl, we've been giving G a half container (or about an ounce) of veggies once a day. MH added in about an ounce of oatmeal at lunch yesterday. I am convinced G would have eaten the entire container of squash the other night if I let him. I am going to start sending oatmeal with him to day care next week to see if that will help him spread his bottles out a bit.
Also, DD2 is skipping the Easter chapel thing at her preschool today. There's no regular school, no before care and no after care. I'm just supposed to bring her at 8:45 and stay for the Easter chapel thing. Well, I have to work and while I'm very curious to hear the end of the "Jesus ate a special meal" song that I can't get her to fully sing to me, hard pass at watching a bunch of other classes of kids sing so that I can sit behind a bunch of parents who can't put down their goddamn cell phones because they're taking videos.
My son was supposed to sing in the church Christmas play and he refused to put on the costume and even just stand up there. He basically became an octopus on me and I was like- never again.
Busy day at work. I feel a little out of it but don't know if it's the medicine or being tired.
I have a lunch with kids today so I have to leave here early to feed O (yes we still feed her over lunch most days). I just counted and I have 24 work days until summer.

A little too busy at work to reply to folks, but asking for prayers quickly. One of our student worker's sisters had her baby on Tuesday but little guy's gone from 9lbs to 5lbs. Uncle is freaking out because his sister can't eat due to pain from her c-sec so isn't making milk for her son. Just prayers and thoughts, pls? Trying to keep him calm.
macaronmama sending positive thoughts for the baby.
Does it really matter what food I start baby on? I have some Gerber purees from MIL, including peas and carrots. I'm tempted to try one of those first and then go from there after grocery shopping.
I cleaned and organized our multi purpose room yet again. I mopped and vacuumed everything but my room. I am out of boxes to put things I'm donating in so I'll have to stop and get some boxes later. I have therapy at 3. I also have to work on writing the Food Truck Story from last night.
