I'm headed to a bridal shower in about 45 minutes with M. Do. Not. Want. To. Go. But H is OOT for the day and I have no legitimate excuses to not go so I'm forcing myself. I would also like to get a ton of cleaning done, but we'll see how overstimulated M gets this morning.
Today is going to be a day of cleaning and yardwork. My cousin is coming in from AZ to visit and he's staying with us so I have to get the guest room turned back into an actual guest room instead of the dumping ground it is now. He gets in late Thursday, I'm off Friday and Monday so it'll be fun.
Oh NO, the wine headache @sarahwithanh. I hate when it slaps back like that. I would have looked at the growth chart too. This will be just another small victory to celebrate when he gets himself back on it.
Rough night here, too. B has his first stomach bug, complete with vomiting. We've been running loads of laundry continually since last night at bedtime, when he first got sick. Poor kid.
All the commotion at the midnight puke session woke C. She was not pleased to be awakened MOTN. Fortunately she seems to be ok so far and slept in this morning so I could catch up a bit.
I'm taking her to meet a friend for lunch. MIL and SIL are here (and there's drama, will have to fill y'all in). I kiiiind of feel bad for having lunch plans, but not bad enough to stick around, I guess.
@sarahwithanh hugs, I know it must be tough to feel like he's taking steps back size-wise. He will get there, though. Hang in there, and enjoy your nights 'off' this wknd.
Hope the beach is better today starbuck27! Not sure where you are in SC, my mom is in Charleston visiting my sister and going to a tennis tournament there. She said it was super windy with lots of gusts yesterday, balls were going all over the place ("that's what she said").
vinolove We have a floatation device almost exactly like that. We used it with Lillian and I loved it. The shade thing isn't awesome, but it's ok. We also have a little bus float for her that has better shade, but not as great of a seat.
Oh no LizInFL! We just went through that last weekend with Lillian. I hope B feels better fast!!
@sarahwithanh Hope you feel better. That wine hangover sucks. I'm sure M will get back on his curve now that he's gaining again. I know it's hard to see it dip, though.
I did a bunch of yard work this morning. Not as much as I was hoping, but it's good progress. I posted pics in the decorating help thread. DH went and got us lunch now that his appetite is returning while I took a nice long shower.
Later, we're going to have a talk. I realized yesterday that I'm having some pretty significant PPD symptoms. Step one is to talk about it. Then we'll decide on step two. I mentioned it to my mom and her response was that she'll make us dinner tomorrow night. Ok. Helpful.

Sounds like a solid weekend waitwhat! Enjoy yourself.
Poor B LizInFL!! Is he feeling better? Enjoy your lunch and break from the houseguests.
vinolove I just bought that same exact one late last night on Amazon. I hope it's a winner.
Yard looks beautiful ClassyMrsA. And all the hugs on realizing the PPD, I'm glad you're talking about it and discussing a plan. I've thought about talking and asking about PPA on here a few times, but I don't know. It's hard to talk about. I'm sorry your mom isn't more helpful, that certainty doesn't make it any easier.
danib, glad yh is helping and I think it's awesome you have your niece over so often!
Not a lot going on here, L slept from 10:30-6:34 so I got to go weigh in at weight watchers! Feeling defeated. My Fitbit broke (my 2nd) and now that they are big name fitness brand, they no longer replace after they've done it once before! Now I'm just going to save for an Apple Watch! It will replace my Fitbit and my Garmin swim lap counter! It'll just take me several months.
goldenlove3 I had friends last weekend and it totally helped get our house and guest space back to a presentable space.
@sarahwithanh stay away from google, charts and the like! That comparison doesn't even begin to cover exceptions like the health problems M has been waging war with!
LizInFL can't wait to hear this drama! Hope you enjoy your getaway lunch.
vinolove I have that float thing. O didn't like it at 14 months in a lake, but loved it at 15 months in a pool. I think a 6 month old would do much better because they don't get afraid yet. I think she'll be fine.

Back from the shower and I'm glad I forced myself to go. One of the ladies there has an almost three year and knows of all these little groups run by different programs all around our area. I wasn't able to find any of these things on my own so I'm excited to have places to take M. To my surprise, she does over the top amazing when we take her places once she's out of her car seat so I think she'd benefit from it. She hates when I take her in to work, but the way they all get up in her space I can't blame her.
It's a beautiful but windy day here. We got a nice walk in this morning and did some errands while we were out. But E only managed 2-30 min naps, so I just nursed her to sleep and will hold her now to make sure she gets a decent nap.
ClassyMrsA and sophiegrace I'm sorry you guys are feeling that way. Please do what you need to do to help yourself. Even if that just means venting here.
Remember that you are amazing moms and you love your girls and they deserve you.

vinolove, thank you lady. I without a doubt have some sort of anxiety, I just can't tell if it's worse now because of postpartum fun or if I just have more to actually worry about and I happen to be postpartum. KWIM? I know my level of fear for Mia is not normal, but I don't think it's too far out of the realm of a first time/late term loss mom. I usually keep it to myself because my H seems to be the only one to get it. I tried talking about it at work and I got looks of confusion and laughter.
starbuck27 hope the beach was better today! waitwhat happy birthday to your mama! @sarahwithanh hope you're feeling a bit better this afternoon. Hugs to both of you, ClassyMrsA and sophiegrace.
vinolove we had that pool float for B and it was great. Used it the first summer (so when he was 6-9 months old) We accidentally left it at home once and picked up something different at the resort, and didn't like it as much.
Thanks for the good wishes for B, everyone. He's running a fever and is sleeping now.
Back from lunch, it was nice catching up with my friend. We ended up eating off the brunch menu with mimosas...yum.
So the drama. :insert eye roll: MIL came in Thurs, SIL was supposed to drive down yesterday when she left work (she's a preschool teacher). Around 4:30 she calls to say that the traffic is terrible and was going to add 30 min to her 3.5 hour drive so she's going to turn around, go home and come today instead. MIL tried to persuade her otherwise, reminded her about B's game, etc. No go. This is typical--and I checked traffic, there wasn't any to speak of. Whatever, I figured she just had a better offer.
So then late in the evening--right as the first of six vomit incidents took place and I'm putting C down--I hear SIL's voice. She'd finished the drive after all (thanks to an earful from MIL) and is here.
By noon today, she was gone. Why? Because "she didn't want to get sick" (semi-fair, but B is in his room in bed and she wasn't really interacting with him anyway) and bc her husband's car battery died and needed a jump.
So we've set a new record...previously her shortest visit was 18 hours, this time it was 16.
And yet she complains that she 'never gets to see our kids' and wonders why they're closer to my sister/BIL. 🤔

So....she travelled back 3.5 hours to jump her H's car? He couldn't get it jumped by a neighbor? That's hilarious. And I'm sorry, if I was staying at someone's house and their kid was sick all night I would at the very least go out and get coffee and breakfast for them. Shew!
waitwhat Ugh that's annoying. MH did exactly nothing today except watch baseball and golf but when I complained he said he was spending quality time with his son. Nice excuse lol.
Zero yardwork got done today and all I managed to do was start bagging up our donations and scheduling the pickup. We have 5 huge contractor bags full so far and H is supposedly still going to go through his stuff at some point. At least it's out of the bedroom. Luckily all I really need to do up there is wash sheets and clean the bathroom sink. Downstairs is a mess though.
I'm really hoping my baby decides he doesn't want to have another sleepover tonight because I'm ready to have some dranks and not be rocking him to sleep every hour. Please please please let my stage 5 clinger sleep in his crib tonight 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Praying hard for you. And for me. I'm currently rocking and nursing D, supposedly for the last time today.
This is probably the only night we're going to have to hang out with my sister and her FI and I'm pretty sure that while everyone else is drinking and having fun, I will be back up here in approximately one hour rocking her again, then 45 minutes after that, and so on and so forth until I finally give in and lay down in bed with her.

FX for good nights all around. I'm currently nursing away while my dinner gets cold. H really wants to have some drinks and watch a movie, hopefully I'll be joining him!
5 contractor bags is a lot goldenlove3! It's so much harder to do that kind of thing (sorting/purging) with a little one around. That's very solid progress.
B's fever finally broke and he's kept 2 Popsicles down for almost two hours, so I'm hoping this is the light at the end of the tunnel. DH is flying tmrw so I'll be solo 😬
Prayers for easy bedtimes and good sleep for all going up.

Guys...I just found voicemail from last May from the MFM nurses telling us that we were having a girl. Feels. Oh my gosh. I'm saving it to the cloud so that I can listen to it on repeat until the end of time.

LizInFL Well... the purging was done weeks ago. Just the bagging happened today lol. I had piles of donations in the room from my maternity leave purging.
