I just walked downstairs to my husband showing my toddler pictures on his phone. And I overheard him say "and this was my mom- man you would have loved her". I literally almost burst into tears instantly. She passed away before we had any kids but she was the best person ever. I think about how much she would have loved these kids every day.

flyinghorses6 - LT because I understand, MIL passed away 3 years ago and I saw how awesome she was with my niece and nephew and I wish R had that. (((Massive hugs))).
shellbell, holy crap that thing is creepy! Like Stephen King's IT creepy.
flyinghorses6, I'm sorry your H was being schmucky. I hate that. No, of course it's not a competition but hearing them say they're tired when they at least get solid stretches of sleep is absolutely eye-roll worthy. Glad he got you dinner to sort of make up for it! Hugs for the emotions on missing his mom.
Shopping was actually a disaster. I knew that my small town options were limited but I could literally not find a single thing that I was looking for. I hate spending money on a compromise. And it was worsened by all the disgusting skin/ fat flab in all the places of my pastey pale body. Ugh. I did find some things that fit reasonably well even though the style wasn't quite right. Oh well. Minus the crting session in the dressing room, it was a nice to get out for a while.

I worked from home today while MH took the kids to my niece's and nephews' little league parade. So annoyed I missed it for work...
But at least my boss is paying me my ML pay plus the hours I work. That's a nice bonus.
Tomorrow we're taking C to his first major league baseball game! We're a huge baseball family, so this is a big deal. I may even post a family photo to show off the coordinated cuteness... Maybe.

So I went from all 3 napping yesterday, to all 3 making me want to rip off my ears today. DD1 had constant tattling and bossing covered. DD2 had whining and screaming. And DS had fussing and crying. Almost had a scream and a cry myself. 26 minutes until early bedtime. Only because DD1 can tell time otherwise they'd be in bed now, but I did contemplate changing the time on the microwave just to get away with it.
I'm in a wedding in June. When I had to order my dress I was much larger than normal so I found a dress on Tradsy for $100 cheaper 2 sizes up from my "normal" bridal size. I figured I would probably need it altered anyway so I might as well save some money. Part of it barely fits. I couldn't have gone smaller. And part of it is huge. Womp womp.

Had a great time at the surprise birthday party. Lots of hands to hold the baby - meaning she actually napped this evening and wasn't extremely fussy! But also meaning she didn't cluster feed like normal. I'm assuming she's going to punish me by waking up a million times tonight. Le sigh. I love my baby, but this is not my favorite age.

oldbaylover1024 have a blast at the game!! Can't wait to see pics!
I know, right? linewifekat it really was something. He doesn't talk about his mother much, but damn I'm hoping she heard that. I like to think she's hanging around us, just keeping an eye out, not really missing anything and protecting us.
Anyway...just got a 4.5 hour stretch from R. She fed and I pumped the other side because I feel like my supply has been so low in the evenings. She's a little squirmy in her crib right now, but hoping she settles in for at least another 3. Fingers ultra crossed!!

I got a measly hour before she was up for an hour. Then I got her down for 2.
It's so discouraging. I feel like she just sucks at sleeping. After her first stretch it's such a crap shoot. At least her congestion seems much better (knock on wood).
I've been trying to LT this weekend has been busy. My Gma came over Friday and it was great until she told me she has leukemia. She said that everything's stable right now and not to worry but that was a real downer for her visit. Then my granddad found out yesterday he needs his aortic valve replaced so he'll have that big surgery within the next week or so. Just hoping that my last two grandparents stay around a little longer 🙁
DS has been asleep since 1030 and is still snoozing hard. The toddler woke us up 30 minutes ago so DH is upstairs with her and I'm laying wide awake in bed. Not sure what that was all about but she never wakes up in the middle of the night.
Anyways. Hugs to all those that need them. Sounds like there were quite a few of us today that could use them. It's nice to have a place to let it all out though. I'm not an emotional person or sharer but sometimes it feels good to get it out.

Oh no pivot so sorry to hear about your gma, I hope your grandads surgery goes ok.
I'm just sitting here with a congested miserable child. It seems to rear it's ugly head around 4/4:30. I tried saline spray and the nose frida but it's deep and rattling around her throat. I am so sick of neither of us sleeping. It's truly torture.
WTAF. DS1 didn't fall asleep until 9 last night then woke up at 1:30 when H got home from the stupid MMA fights. H was trying to get him back down but was super frustrated so of course I took over and he went to bed. Well it's 6:45 and DS1 is still awake. I'm so fucking aggravated.
Yikes, allisong87. I guess your H gets cranky big kid duty today?
My toddler was up in the motn too, for some unknown reason. I really hope he ended up going back to sleep. I'm assuming he did because I didn't hear him when I was feeding the baby.
Last night was much needed. 4-2-2, and she's still sleeping. I mean, I'd love 4-4, or 6-2, but a first stretch of more than 2 hours is very helpful. Too bad I forgot to put wash cloths in my shirt last night, so I just leaked all over the bed. Boo.
We have church this morning, and then I have to make sweet potatoes for my dad and step mom's easter meal at 4. Hopefully the kiddos cooperate!

He has no choice since he himself is seriously still sleeping while I have both kids. Im beyond pissed right now. I guess it's okay in his eyes for me to have 1 hour of sleep.

@jacks605 I am hoping to report better news soon! Once we kick this cold, I'm confident she will sleep at least a little better. Happy you got good stretches from your littles!
allisong87 how annoying, sorry for the rough night. Hope you get some rest today!
I'm getting my tired butt off to the gym this morning. R is asleep in her crib now and I left him pumped milk, so byeeee. Today we have a 2nd Birthday party. Thankfully it's right down the street, we might actually walk since it's supposed to be so nice.
allisong87- Wow....DH needs to go hang out with ls2022's for sure! I definitely see at least one nap in your day today! Sorry it was such a rough night for you!
My allergies are off the charts today. I'm not sure if it's allergies or I'm sick, but I'm miserable. And MH has a ton of bruising from his snip. Apparently it's not typical, but happens sometimes. Of course it would... Because it's US!
So taking a preschooler and a baby to a major sporting event isn't ideal. But J is so excited We have to go. She's been dressed since 8 a.m. LOL
C slept pretty well, but he's been hit and miss with sleep. FX he does well at the park today.

Same with my dad. He only lived a month past my brothers wedding. He never met any of his grandkids and I know he was really looking forward to that. I'm grateful I have a great brother who walked me down the aisle at my wedding and is good with my kids.
flyinghorses6 I need that tank lol love it! Hope you had a good gym sesh.
oldbaylover1024 I hope you have a good time and the game and that your allergies calm their tits while y'all are there!
Thanks for the kind words about my grandparents ladies. DH watched both kids so I could go for a run. The time to myself is so good for my mind! I did 2.5 miles and was able to run almost 2 miles without stopping. Granted they were a slow 2 miles but my goal was 1 mile without stopping g so I'm pleased.

So sorry about your grandparents' health issues pivot. Hope your granddad's surgery is successful and he's back in good health soon. Ugh oldbaylover1024 allergies suck. I hope you can take something for them! We all went to church this morning. I spent most of the service changing and feeding the baby, but she fell asleep in the carrier after, so it wasn't a disaster. With DD1 we'd just pop the paci in when she cried but this one wants nothing to do with pacifiers! DH goes back to work full-time tomorrow. I am trying not to think about it.

Sorry for everyone dealing with babies and big kids who aren't sleeping. Sleep deprevation is torture method for a reason. First Sunday with both kids at church went shockingly well. The Easter egg hunt was also super fun. DS1 is super into it this year and it's adorable. He's having a late nap now and baby is sleeping in my arms while DH does yard work! Happy Sunday!
