Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: Is it worth it to pay for FF? My free trial ends soon. Also, today FF changed the date it thinks I O'ed, but I woke up yesterday sick. So I'm not sure if it's because I O'ed later than it thought, or if it's because of the bug I caught.

Timing: Pretty okay... I started the cycle trying the SMEP, but DH was tired one day, I think I misread an OPK as negative when it was positive, and I O'ed a few days early, so it wasn't as good as I'd hoped but we still hit -3,O, +1.


Testing Plans: I try not to test until AF is late, but if there are any obvious symptoms, I won't test until 4/16 (11 DPO).


Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: I just had an awesome birthday weekend so it's hard to come back to reality. The festivities did help keep my mind off the mindfuck that is the TWW. I also enjoyed birthday cocktails a bit more knowing that I could be giving them up for a while.
On a sadder note, I lost my 'adopted' grandfather on Friday--he's not blood related, but served in the role of grandfather since my bio ones died when I was young. He was 103 and lost his wife 3 years ago, so he was ready to go. But here's the crazy thing, he passed on my birthday, and I've been planning to name a boy after him. So, part of me hopes, albeit crazily, that perhaps we'll GKU as a karmic re-balancing of the world without him. Totally irrational, but that's what I've got today.

Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: I'm still waiting on cross hairs, but looks like I O'd on Saturday. At my monitoring appointment I had 5 follicles and my RE said 2-3 would probably be mature at ovulation. I had two temp spikes and today's was huge. I'm wondering how much is due to multiple follicles (which I've had before without such a dramatic spike) and how much is my body fighting off this cold.

@auri I never paid for FF and didn't find it necessary. I don't think the paid version would help distinguish illness with your temps. You can just overlay charts and it will tell you when to test.

I know 2 cycles isn't long at all, but going from not trying to thinking we were going to have 2U2, to the total mindfuck that is TTC again, it's just weighing on my a lot right now. It's always hard to watch that age gap stretch. Sorry, pity party over.

I got faint lines on two wondfos in a row this morning. But then I took a walmart cheapie, and it had been like 20 minutes and my urine was cold so I don't know if that affects it, but it was stark white. Are walmart cheapies less sensitive than wondfos? I really don't want a second month of false positives, especially two in a row.

Wonfo hpts are notorious for false positives. Letting the urine sit for 20 minutes won't change anything. I'm not sure where the wondfos test at, but the Walmart cheapies are at 50. The dollar store ones are at 25, so if you have the option you might try those. Good luck!

If the wondfos do it to me again, I'm never going to use them again. I'm glad you said the walmart ones are at 50 so that gives me hope. Today would be 8 dpo if I'm actually pulling a positive.

Any TFAS ladies have insight on possible implantation cramping? Since last night I've been having periodic pinching/stabbing cramps. Mostly in my left side, although they do seem to radiate just a little above my belly button. They're pretty mild and sort of just come and go. No spotting and my temp rose today, so I'm assuming it's nothing. Just thought I'd check since they're very different than regular AF cramps.

The only way to know is hindsight. And even then it may be total coincidence. Take a step back and just wait a few days.

I took another wondfo this afternoon on a 5 hour hold and it was definitely negative. And I peeked back at the two this morning and they had faded and were harder to see than this morning. So two false positives in a row? Jeez. I'll just wait a fee days and see.

Didn't you have the same problem last cycle? I'd throw that batch out if I were you...
