thatgirlrachel - I totally understand where you are. I was working FT and getting my MBA at night when I got KU with DD1. I made it to graduate at 6 months pregnant and it was so hard at the very end, *for me* there's no way I could have done it through 3rd tri and newborn phase.
My advice would be to take a summer class and definitely skip fall. Spring semester could go either way - I would say register but if you don't feel up to it just before class starts then withdraw. Personally I'd go back after that. I think the more time that passes the less likely you will finish, and also echoing what others said, at this age I think it's less of an effect on the kids than if you wait until they are older.
Is anyone else having really bad headaches? I don't remember having them with DS, but I have a bad headache more days than not recently. It sucks.
Yes! And that's the one symptom I've had with both. Well actually they seem to have tapered off now (aaaand now I just jinxed myself). My Dr prescribed fioricet, which helps some.
You can also try taking Tylenol with some caffeine.

S+TMs will appreciate this.
So as I'm at my appointment, I started thinking that it's so nice to be able to easily leave a urine sample without navigating around a big belly. It's coming soon!

Yeah, last Monday it was so bad I took the day off and ended up taking Tylenol and had some soda. It did help. I hadn't had any caffeine in years, so I don't really want to start drinking it semi-regularly now, but gosh, these are bad. I'm sorry you've been dealing with them too. Hopefully we are both headache-free soon!!

Does anyone have any good iPhone case recs? I currently have a LifeProof, but it's my second one and I'm over it. The screen protector part stays so scratched up. Looking for something slim/not bulky that includes screen protection (or a separate screen protector rec).
trinitrotoluene Drink up and put those feet up - yikes! Glad everything's ok now!
@thatgirlrachel I'm super impressed that you took classes with a toddler and have dealt with all ten joys of 1st tri. No advice - just props and kudos.
Just a normal Monday here. Weather was beautiful so my teaching partner and I kept the kids out a long time at recess today (like 40ish minutes - and I promise no one suffered academically!). I'll take 70s for a Midwest spring day anytime!
thatgirlrachel, others have given you great advice, but just to add in my 2 cents, I would personally take a break. You still have a long ways to go and while there's no perfect time for anything, I can't imagine having to juggle a toddler, a newborn, and school work. Best of luck though it whatever you decide... either way, you're awesome for wanting to continue your education!
We still haven't told anyone in real life that we're expecting yet. I've wanted to wait until we get the genetic results back that baby is healthy before we tell, but with my bump growing, time is seriously running out and i'm beginning to think people are suspecting something. I feel like I have this deep dark secret that i'm dying to get out there but at the same time don't want anyone to know... anyone else feel that way? Also, i'm worried i'll be judged for being pregnant with my 4th baby when my youngest isn't even 2 years old yet. Irrational fears i'm sure, but still fears nonetheless.

I'm like a million years late and actually this explains why I don't get to play as much as I like, but thatgirlrachel , I am doing what you are doing. I have been working full time and going to grad school at least 2/classes per semester for all of DS' life and I can totally relate to everything you wrote.
Like others said, you alone can know what is best for you....and either way, I am here to listen to any vents you may have whether it be about how you feel taking a break or how you feel about spending all your free moments glued to a computer screen/reading books/being in class and missing bedtime.
ETA: Also a huge +1 to what Rama said. They definitely won't remember.
Well i just passed out at the grocery store. Luckily Kroger is all over the costumer service. They got me a motorized cart and took me to the break room and gave me lots of water and snacks until i felt better to drive home.
I totally missed this earlier. Glad you were taken care of and glad you're feeling better!

yogini kiki, I forgot you were in the same boat as me (and you're close to done if IIRC)! Thanks for the words of advice. I definitely may take you up on the listening ear down the road. Congrats on coming as far as you have!!

Of course! Thanks--it has been a LONG road. I have for sure half assed a few things...I like to call it "triage." I think what gets easier is figuring out what stuff matters to spend the time on and what stuff is on the syllabus to appease whatever accrediting body nonsense

kj808, I'm 15 weeks and we just told everyone this weekend. (Our parents knew already.) Anyway, I definitely get wanting to keep the secret and wanting to tell at the same time. I feel more relief than I thought I would now that everyone, including work, knows. It was getting hard to hide the bump and I think it was giving me more stress than I realized. Good luck deciding when to share. And I'm quite positive everyone will be excited and happy for you.

No truer words! By the end of my first semester, I'm finally learning this.
