What's everybody up to this morning? It's supposed to be warm here today. I might see about wandering up the road to grab a coffee since I'm feeling better.

I was hoping it would be nice enough to hang out outside for a bit today, but it looks like it's going to be chilly and rainy. Boo.

It's sunny here, and will be warm-ish but not super warm. I'm in a phase where the idea of coffee sounds better than actually drinking it--my stomach just doesn't seem to be liking it currently. Not much going on, easing back into work, and happy that my single meeting today was cancelled. Tonight I should take the dog for a longer walk and clean up the house a little bit. We have our realtor coming over tomorrow to help us focus our projects on the ones most likely to boost our resale value in a few years. I know he's going to suggest carpet for our bedrooms, but I hate it and would rather put in engineered hardwood and add cozy rugs. We'll see...

Maybe he'll surprise you. We looked very hard for a house with hardwood in the bedrooms. I think it's becoming more of a thing as it's more sustainable. Are you trying to flip your house or just be ready to sell soon?

leekpartyof2 our whole house is hardwood floors (except kitchen and bathrooms. Throw rugs where needed. That is more and more popular.

We were supposed to get a big storm today but now it's only supposed to rain from 11- EOD. So I've got two more hours of sunshine and I'm sitting by the window. We spent yesterday at the lake and it is was amazing!

Not looking to flip--and not selling super soon. Ideally, we'll look to sell when I pay off my student loans, so probably about 3 years from now. We've been in the house for almost two years, and there are still several large renovations that we'd like to do, both to make it more enjoyable to live in, and to boost its value--and so we're getting some professional advice about how to prioritize some of those things so we're not wasting time and money.

Hi! Gorgeous weather here today, currently 76 and sunny! Too bad I'm inside working. It is the first day in a while that everyone on my team is working (spring break) and it isn't as busy as I thought it would be. I guess everyone is still digging out of their email.

Red velvet cake taste just like chocolate cake. They just dyed it red. I've never had that ice cream before, but I would give it a try.

I've never really been a huge fan of cooked salmon. I really can't stand the taste. But give me raw salmon (sashimi) and I'm all for it. Apparently, the way to cook salmon while maintaining the taste the best is to just sear either side and leave the center raw. I just tried it and yeah, I can see me eating a lot of salmon in the near future lol
