Holy hell. M woke up from her horrible nap with her face covered in a rash. Bath had to happen before we could leave. Apparently the new sunscreen did not agree with her. We made it to our Seder for a while, very very late. The Benadryl I had to go pick up made her so off the wall. DH took her home to bed. I'm still here drinking.
We have an ENT appointment this morning, if her ears are not awful, he will hold off on adenoids for sure and see how next winter goes. DH is still feeling lousy, but went to work today. Between him being sick, and my physical therapy which is 3 times per week, and work being insane last week I had 55 hours, I am freaking exhausted and it is only Tuesday.
Did she ever get tubes? Have they helped? I missed the adenoid convo.
She did, on Dec 1. We have had 2 dec and January bad infections. The one in January they had to put her in the straight jacket thing and attempted to clean her ears, it was awful, traumatizing. He put her on oral antibiotics and the drops and scheduled her adenoids a month later and we went back 2 weeks later, they looked a great deal better and he said let's hold off as he would prefer her to be a little older. We have been going every 6 weeks and this is the longest we have gone ever without an ear infection. Today he said he is hopeful that we can hold off on the adenoids until the end of the year, but if she gets another infection he will move it up. We at least aren't getting the infections every 3 weeks like before the tubes.

Oh My GOD, coudnt they put her out with something mild vs the baby straight jacket?!?! How traumatizing for her AND you.
We actualy had our first ear infection post tubes....we went almost a whole year without one. But it came after his battle with croup and then an upper respiratory virus of some type....so he was super snotty and coughing up all kinds of phlegm....
He actualy had to take a round of antibiotics bc the ear drops didn't stop the oozing after 2 days. But THANK GOODNESS this ear infection didn't come with the usual fever, pain we have come to expect.
Well I hope she keeps going longer and longer without an ear infection.
