ajetter , obscurereference , I just want to say that you both have no need to justify wanting another child. In my mind, if the child is wished for then I will root for you just as hard, regardless of whether it's #1 or #4 or #10.

robotpcr , I have a feeling the TTC excitement will come back

This is how I feel as well. We started ttc our next June 2015, then it got put on hold until 2017 as I had some bad health problems. I know we are so blessed, but I feel like there is one more person meant to join our family. My social life is basically a baby factory and I feel myself retreating and not going to things because it's hard to be around that, and then I feel shitty about that. Seriously if one more friend announces their pregnancy to me over brunch squealing without any warning at all I may run screaming down the street. On top of which I've wanted another since my daughter was 6 months but my husband wasn't ready until Jun15 so a part of me resents him for that because now we may never have one. We have decided to only try through summer and then become foster parents for a while and think about possibly a foster to adopt situation one day.

Don't worry about venting. Sometimes we've just got to get it out. That sounds really tough, it'd be really hard to not be on the same page as DH. Sorry about the BFN.

I could have written your last post myself. It's exactly how I feel. I am ready to be done TTC and move out of the unknown of growing your family. I'm sure it appears to others that we have had an easy time having kids because they are close together, but the only one that was easy and quick was our first. But like you said, at the same time I know we are so lucky to have what we have. It's confusing to feel so many different ways!

Sounds like us. I was 23 when we were like maybe we should have kids. Found out I was pregnant 3 weeks later. I stupidly thought it would be that easy every time so we waited until she was 18 months to try. Only took 7 months but it felt like an eternity. I'm about to turn 31, which of course isn't that old, so people who know we wanted them closer together say things like "at least you aren't that old, you've got plenty of time". In theory, yes, but at some point we'd like to enter the big kid phase of life! Been at this growing family stage for 7 years now. Right now we've loosely said we'll try through this year. If it doesn't happen maybe it wasn't meant to be?

Hello! Can I jump in? I think I go here now...we've been going back and forth about it for a few months and NTNP, but we're now fully on board with actively trying.

Age of LO: 2 in 3 weeks!

Month/cycle: 3rd cycle

CD: 10

RRCS: our timing has been terrible the past few months with our work/travel schedules. Looks like this month will end up being the same, so I'm not really going to get my hopes up.

GTKY: listening to the same song sounds like torture! I think I would have to go with a beachy/tropical sounding song to match my surroundings.

RRCS: I am ready for the cycle to get a move on. This will be the first complete cycle temping hopefully it helps with determining my o.

RRCS: I was really hoping to temp this month, but my youngest had pneumonia and sleep was terrible. I feel confident I O'ed earlier this week, due to symptoms, but my body played tricks on me last cycle with a lot of symptoms and an anovulatory cycle.

That's a hard question. Honestly, nothing comes to mind.

RRCS: Planting a container garden right now. Hope the strawberries bear some good fruit for B to pick.



GTKY: If you were stranded on an island with 1 song playing on repeat the whole time what would you choose? Something classical, complicated, and very long by a famous composer.
#1 so it won't drive me nuts quite as quickly.
#2 it's easier to tune out than anything with vocals.
#3 maybe I'd finally really understand classical music(like why experts love certain composers and call them masters or whatever - I'm pretty shallow when it comes to that classical music. All I know is what sounds nice to me).

That being said...probably not what the question intended, but I think it reveals something about me anyway.

Hey all! I lurked around here last month while we got back into the groove of TTC and I started temping again and stuff and decided this month (or on) I need a place to share my thoughts and hopefully provide some insight myself! Mini intro, I've never actually participated in the GKU community in the past, but have been on June 15 since I found out I was due with my second, and was a member of TK when I was getting married.

Age of LO(s): 3.5 year old boy and 22 month old girl

Month/Cycle: 2

CD/DPO: CD1

RRCS: went to take a pregnancy test today and discovered CD1 blessed me with her presence instead so that confirmed that. Even peed in the cup and was about to open the test before it became apparent.
