I know we're a mix of feeling like butt and starting to feel better. This is a weekly check-in for motivation/accountability/questions/whatever you need it to be.
1. What have you been up to? 2. Do you have any goals for this week?
Random-but-related question(s): Do you like to exercise? What does your go-to workout look like?
1. I have been trying to go to the gym every other day. I've been doing ok with that and I think I can add in a group class and see how it goes. My eating has been sub-par.
2. I want to keep getting to the gym, maybe try adding a spin class, and I want to limit my fast food to once during the week.
I actually really enjoy exercising, for the most part. It's time I spend on myself. I usually listen to music and think about/pray on things going on in my life. I sometimes run or spin or lift, but usually I use the elliptical or walk on the treadmill on an incline.
1. What have you been up to? nothing aside from trying to keep up with a 23 month old. I NEED this. I haven't been to the gym or done anything resembling working out for at least a month. Between being various kinds of sick and being told to take it easy due to continued bleeding, I haven't been able to do much.
2. Do you have any goals for this week? I want to get to the gym to use the elliptical at least once.
Random-but-related question(s): Do you like to exercise? What does your go-to workout look like? I do like to exercise... when i'm working out normally I usually workout 4-5 times a week: a couple days of cardio and a couple days of strength training and boxing. I love Zumba but haven't been able to find a new class after my instructor stopped teaching over a year ago.

Love this thread. I am doing the Whole Life Challenge starting May 20th--- I absolutely love it and anyone is welcome to join the TCF team (thread is on Parenting-all are welcome!)
1. What have you been up to? I generally walk between 4 and 9 miles per day. Lately...this has been it since I have been struggling so much with nausea.
2. Do you have any goals for this week? I would like to add back in weight training and get more consistent with walking more toward the 9 mile mark than the 4 mile mark. We also want to start going on Saturday hikes as a family when it is nice out.
I love to work out normally. I think I might pick back up with Bikini Body Mommy's prenatal workout series...it is short and accessible and I do have success with her post pregnancy workouts when I actually do them

1. What have you been up to? I've been doing the Bikini Body Mommy 6.0 90 day challenge, and Zumba 1-2x a week. Also, now that it's getting nicer out, going on walks with DS. As for food, I was doing a low carb diet. Lately is been more of a "if baby wants carbs, baby gets carbs" kind of diet.
2. Do you have any goals for this week? Get my BBM workout in tomorrow, and hopefully go for a walk. I'll be out of town Friday-Sunday for Easter weekend, so it will be no exercising and all the eating for me.
Random-but-related question(s): Do you like to exercise? What does your go-to workout look like? Most of the time! I do Bikini Body Mommy (BBM) workouts in my living room, while DS naps. Then two nights a week there are free Zumba classes offered at a local church.
1. I have been lazy AF and haven't gone to the gym in 3 or 4 weeks.
2. I've been trying to eat a bit better since I haven't been working out. I haven't been perfect, but there have been a lot more fruits and veggies incorporated and less crap, so it's a start.
3. I like to exercise once I start, but I find it hard to get motivated/find the time. I usually do cardio (run, bike, or row) or do yoga. I occasionally do TRX or Zumba.
I did a half hour Body Pump class last night and my legs are sore this morning! I am so out of shape; I used to do the 60 minutes version of this class and didn't think it was too hard. 😣
Does getting out in my garden and weeding count? It's really all I have the ambition for - that and my new yoga mat STILL stinks. I think I need to give it an apple cider vinegar spray bath.

Oh and in the spirit of the QOTW: I haaaate structured exercise. The gym is probably my least favorite place on earth, like reverse Disney. I love to walk and I enjoy yoga but that's about it.

1. I ran a half marathon at 9 weeks and haven't lifted a finger since then, except for one barre class.
2. My goals are to start running again, just 30 minutes a couple times a week, and going to barre a couple times a week.
3. I like to exercise but I find myself needing external motivation, like paying money to sign up for a run which forces me to train, or even just peer pressure/friendly challenges to work out 4x a week for 12 weeks or something.

1. What have you been up to? Been doing 4-5 days since pregnant! Used to go 6 days so I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking to it! I do 2 spin classes a week & the rest will be Weight lifting classes ! I actually did a HITT Class last Friday and am really proud I was able to do it even though I modified a few things I felt good! 2. Do you have any goals for this week? Keeping at it! Doing HITT class on Friday and Body Pump Saturday!!
Random-but-related question(s): Do you like to exercise? What does your go-to workout look like? I love working out ever since I had DD I really got into it! My workouts have stayed the same for the most part, I like to go to classes only because if I don't, I won't push myself hard enough alone, so I've been sticking to mostly the same classes except having to modify some things

Sorry for the delay blackmamba! Here is what my friend and fearless leader @thisbitch wrote up to introduce it to me! I have done it three times, I have learned quite a bit about myself and developed some really healthy habits and good friendships---even when my score was dismal.
What it is: an eight week challenge that starts May 20. It is not a diet, but there is a nutrition component. It is a lifestyle challenge, for people who are interested in creating or reinforcing new habits.
How to play: there is a nutrition component, 10 minutes a day of exercise/physical activity, 10 minutes a day of stretching, a hydration goal, a sleep goal, a daily reflection, and a weekly lifestyle practice. It is points based, so if you don't meet your goals, you haven't failed- you just lose points. You win indulgences for doing well and getting most of your points.
Who can play: anyone, at any level of fitness or weight. This particular challenge includes a really great group of Parenting regs to commiserate and cheer you on.
This is the nutrition comparison chart. p4.zdassets.com/hc/theme_assets/259397/200113225/WLC_Nutrition_Comparison_Chart.pdf
1) I'm one of those annoying CrossFit moms, so I've been scaling a lot of my workouts so it's not too heavy and my HR doesn't shoot way up. I'm trying to go 3x/week, but it's been tough.
2) go 3-5x/week now that my energy is starting to come back. My appetite has certainly come back so I need to keep my metabolism up or I'll gain 60 pounds like I did with my first! My second I worked out and watched what I ate and only gained 25 and that pretty much fell off with nursing. Hoping for the same this time around!!
Do you guys know if we can still be flat on our backs with weights (like in Body Pump) at beginning of second tri?
I have been with my BBM strength workouts, using 2 15lb weights. I'd think it's ok, at least until baby is bigger and puts more pressure on your low back and aorta. If it's uncomfortable, maybe a pillow/bolster would help?

Omg I was wondering the Same thing the other day during my class! I was just going to just ask my OB next week.: I will say, I used to do body Pump with a pregnant girl who must have been at least 35 weeks and still doing body Pump and I never remember her stand for those parts of the class...Not saying it's right but it just makes me more confused

When I did it last night, I took the risers off one side of the step so it was sort of more of an incline but I wasn't sure if it was necessary yet! I read you can use a ball and plate/dumbbells too but I would definitely fall off. If you ask, report back please!

My dad has been in the hospital the past 2 weeks (getting discharged today!) so I have done ZERO workouts in these past 2 weeks. I usually go to bootcamp 3-4x/week, play indoor soccer(yes, OB okay'd it until 2nd tri), and go on walks. I'm normally a runner but I loathe pregnant running so I switched to walking.
2. Do you have any goals for this week?
Bootcamp 3x and daily walks
Random-but-related question(s): Do you like to exercise? What does your go-to workout look like?
I love it! I love running, soccer and bootcamp classes!

1. What have you been up to? My normal half marathon training (when weather cooperates and I can run outside) and working out with my trainer
2. Do you have any goals for this week? Get back in my running groove since the weather looks like it'll cooperate
Random-but-related question(s): Do you like to exercise? What does your go-to workout look like?
I like weight lifting but hate cardio. My go-to is whatever my trainer tells me to do. I find if I have to create a workout on my own I tend to take it easier where my trainer will push me a bit harder.
