I feel like I'm completing a right of passage by starting this!
Up feeding C. I've started doing a bottle for the motn feed and then pumping. (Primarily because he's a lazy breastfeeder, and when I nurse in the motn, it usually takes an hour and a half between diaper change, nursing, burping, and back to sleep. The bottle/pump combo cuts out at least 30 mins.
I didn't nap yesterday, and I found trek by last night. For the first time really, I was dozing off while feeding him the Kat feed before bed. First time that's talky happened for me.
I've officially made it through a week of H bring back at work. I think C and I ate starting to figure out it on our own.
I have been getting real quality sleep on a bed lately and it feels great. Broken or little sleep on an old cough is so much worse than broken sleep on a bed.

E wouldn't settle down during her midnight feeding, refused to give a good burp, and alternated between crying and nursing for comfort for over an hour. During her 5am feeding, she let out the most massive frat boy style burp...I could barely believe it came out of her tiny body. I guess I know now what was bugging her.
Up for our MOTN feed. Last night was ridiculous. I fed and changed him, got him back to sleep and within mins of putting him down he pooped. Brought him back downstairs and changed him, reswaddled, got him back to sleep again, 5 mins after putting him down another poop. Changed again, he got hiccups. Took much longer to get back down. Overall took about 2 hrs (1 hr longer than usual). Hopefully tonight goes better!

I would have had a 4.5 hour stretch if it wasn't for the dog needing to go out. Dh will be home tonight so he can deal him. I'm hoping I can get DD to nurse both sides and I can skip pumping but it's not looking good.
Sorry for the long nights and fussy babies everyone...but it does make me feel less alone to read all of this! H is sleeping in our bed, I am camped out for on the couch with his rock n play next to me. This is by far the healthiest option for us right now. I'm tracking naps tonight and so far have gotten 4.5 hours of sleep (10pm-6:30am). Feeding, burping, changing and soothing seems to take an hour.
In other news, my left nipple is an enthusiastic little bish. L is kinda tired and slow to latch MOTN, and my nipple literally sprayed him in the face. I didn't know that was possible.
DD slept 8 hours. I about fell out of the bed going to heck on her when I woke up during hour 7 and realized she was still sleeping. She pretty much always wakes up at 4 hours, so this was a real jump. I'm positive this isn't the new normal, but it was nice for one night. (I don't think she is big enough to sleep through the night- she's 8 lbs. 14 oz. as of yesterday...)
glb30 that long of a stretch would have freaked me right out. How old is she?
7 weeks. We had a packed day yesterday, so I think she was just tired. She's also suddenly super interested in toys and everything around her, so I think she was just super tired from her new "busy-ness"
ugaqueencity haha, I know! J is really into the way light comes into our family room. She studies the shadows with such seriousness. I can also tell she approves of our red picture frames on our wall. 😂

Add us to the crappy night of sleep list. I had been told nights 2 and 3 of MOC would be the worst but last night sucked. I had some pretty painful gas from a salad I ate for dinner so I'm thinking that may have been the culprit for B as well. At least I hope so. I don't want him backsliding already.

., I'm laughing at your imaginary intruder. I'm totally blind without my glasses and can imagine it happening to me, but it sounds like a story that your H will tell for a long time.

. those fuzzy Intruders are the worst! I'm sure your lack of sleep helped, too. 😂
My husband has the occasional waking dream if he's very exhausted. I once woke up to him violently kicking his legs, yelling "get out of here!" at the intruders in his mind. We laugh about it now, for sure.

Tiny Max has his 8-week appointment today, wee! Then this afternoon my pregnant friend is coming over to take all my baby girl clothes that she wants. She's been trying to have another baby for years, I'm so so excited for her.
ladytiffany24, I looked over the MOC schedule but haven't actually read the book. Do they address how you're suppose to leave the house while staying on schedule? That's my only concern, I'd love to have A on a general routine but not if it means staying home all day everyday
They do. They call it a "crazy day." The big thing with each day is to try your best to keep the 2 main feedings of the day at the same time (the breakfast feeding and the supper feeding -- times will vary on this depending on baby's age and which schedule you choose -- for me it's 8:30am and 5pm).
Also, the past couple of days when I've left the house, I've made sure it was during a nap time because B will sleep in his car seat. Obviously, you'd want to avoid them sleeping in their car seat for multiple naps a day.

I always try to leave the house after a feeding. That way she can have her "playtime". Looking at new stuff then she sleeps in the boba wrap.

Also agree with this. Leave right after a feeding when it's "'play" time. For B, he just falls asleep and misses out on play time. Lol.
We finally got some good sleep. T wasn't as gassy and easy to get down. Got a couple 3 hour stretches and one 4 hour one. Today we are potty training Clara. I don't know what I have done. This must be done but it's hard.
Dd2 was up every hour from 1am on. Yay growth spurts. Nursing at night still sucks, but come daytime it's magically easy again. I remember this with dd1 but can't remember when it got better. I do remember thinking things got infinitely better in some form at every 2 week mark, so fingers crossed it gets a bit easier at 2 weeks on Sunday.
Newborn photos are finally happening right now! They are so cute being taken, I can't wait to see the actual pictures.

One of DH's brothers and his gf are coming over for lunch and a visit. I am starving and wish they'd hurry up.
I had a talk with Dh this morning about how I've been feeling and it was a good talk. He's a great husband but just doesn't do well with words of affirmation and I've always been the type to need to hear that I'm doing something right. I think the reminder will help and I might get out of this funk.

Max is growing like a weed! 11 pounds on the dot, nearly 23" long. His growth charts go straight up, lol.
He red-faced screamed during the 10 seconds it took to get three shots, but immediately calmed when I picked him up and has been fine since. Just an anecdote for anyone maybe nervous about upcoming immunizations.
