It's Thursday, Hooray!
There's a lady sitting near me at the airport coughing without covering her mouth, gross. I'm trying to make it painfully obvious that I'm covering my mouth when I cough.
Being up before 6am when your kids are still sleeping is just cruel. Note to self, never schedule travel for this early if I don't have to.
Today is my Friday, we're all off tomorrow!! I'm making it an easy day for all of my classes so I can clean and organize my crap. I've got a mountain of paperwork/emails to catch up on too. I need an assistant.

O screamed the last hour of the trip and refused to sleep so dh took him on a walk and came in around midnight. Kid woke at 4 and i strolled him in the room and he was almost out but ds2 had to poop and that commotion did us in. Dh took O out again at 4 and they aren't back. Thankfully my parents are across the hall and I'm taking ds1 down to investigate the lobby while mom comes to sleep with ds2.
Dh has been taking o on walks and he falls asleep at night so I think he's forgotten how to go to bed. Would I be nuts for re intro the paci?
We have a half day at work tomorrow and everyone brings in their kids for Easter activities, including a not-so-frightening Easter Bunny (it helps too that I know who is in the costume) and an egg hunt and lots of games. It should be fun. Today kind of feels like Friday since tomorrow is a wash for getting any work done.
I'm so sleepy. My husband and I went and saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers last night! We splurged for Christmas/our anniversary/Vday and got ourselves floor seats. They were amazing! I can't believe how great they all still looked! Once Anthony Keidis gets rid of his terrible mustache, would do.
DD is at preschool and DS is being butt. DS got up in the middle of the night and DD got up way too early. Then in the middle of the night my back started hurting. So basically no sleep was had here last night. Laying low today and then church tonight. I have a feeling I'll be in the nursery the whole time.
My SIL was induced last night and I'm anxiously awaiting an update.
The weather is supposed to be really nice the next few days. I hate that I can't enjoy being outside at home because the neighbors on either side of us are the worst. I'm trying to set boundaries so we don't get trapped by them every time we step foot outside. We shall see if I can make some progress with that.
Today is my Friday. We have a 4 day weekend this weekend and my boss is taking a half day today and told me to let all my people go at 3.
Dylan has another ear infection and some nasty stuff coming out of her eyes. They gave us an antibiotic and an eye drop. Has anyone given eye drops to a toddler? I got one in then she realized what I was doing and squirmed away. And this is supposed to happen 3 times a day. I guess DH and I will have to try doing it together. Normally I would bribe her with a snack but since she's sick she hasn't been hungry.

sarahh I think @officedronette had to give eye drops a few months ago???
sarahh - yes we did! Our kid seems to get pink eye monthly. She initially fought them the first time and it was miserable - had to hold her down, she would cry, we felt awful!
The second time we had to do them, we told her we needed her help and asked her to be a big girl, and then we said yay and clapped once the drop was in. She now cooperates and claps for herself after drops, and the last time she only needed them in one and immediately said "other?" when we went to put it away. So hopefully she'll feel cooperative and then the positive reinforcement helps?
@officedronette, I will definitely try that. She loves clapping so maybe that will get her to cooperate. I hate having to hold her down for stuff like this. It was hard enough at the doctor's office when I had to hold her down to get the ear wax cleaned out and for the doctor to look in her ears.

sarahh I know you said she's not hungry, but can you try giving her a sucker or an ice pop? Or some treat that she doesn't normally get? That's how we get through Henry's nebulizer treatments. My h has to help me too- it's crazy it takes a combined 300 lbs of adults to control 25 lbs of toddler.
rachydc so fun! I can't remember the last time I went to a concert.

sarahh I have loads of times. My DD is super susceptible to eye infections and they are super contagious so all the kids get one. I try to give sam something to hold and make a big deal out of how patient he's being etc. If he's not having it I hold him down matter of factly and do it quickly and still give him lots of praise when he's done.
Some kids are good at this stuff and some aren't. My DS is super chill and easy least. My DD is a nightmare and we have to hold her down still and she's 6.
