Thursdays always suck at work and I'm really hoping that's not the case today. I'm so effing tired. H had his graduation ceremony last night and dumb me got so excited about free pie night at Village Inn that I invited all our guests to join us for a post ceremony celebration.
Such a bad idea. We didn't get home until well after 10pm and I wasn't in bed for another hour. Ughhhhhh
We had another rough night last night - same deal, up at midnight and then every 30-60 min after. He has gained 5 oz in 2 days so must be a growth spurt or something. I'm so tired though. Trying to stave off some mom guilt for letting him grunt and whine between 6-630, but I literally could not move.
We are travelling for the first time with both kiddos this weekend! L is typically in cloth so I need to pick up some diapers - he's about 13 1/2 lb, would he be a size 2?

Morning! Congrats to your H thelittleredm! I hope you can get a nap at some point carrots and d not, all he coffee for you.
So my bitching about my H yesterday turned out to be unwarranted in the long run...he volunteered to do all MOTN duties so I could sleep. I feel like a new woman. I stil had to get up for the 3 am feeding (that's when H gets ready to go to work) but sleeping from 9:30-3 is more than in used to!

rinny, I did and it was amazing! I know he'll be useless this afternoon bc he probably only slept a few hours but I'm good to go. I really needed this. I have to pack after work and prepare myself to travel alone with a toddler and baby. I honestly feel like superwoman. And work is easy today so I know I'll still be feeling good enough to do everything I have to do tonight.

Good morning. Work was cray yesterday so I couldn't check in. Went to dinner Tuesday night with friends and MIL watched the girls.Toddler was decent and baby was...fussy. It's really hard to manage bedtime alone with 2, so i give her lots of credit! She put A down for the night unswaddled and she did just fine. So I didn't swaddle last night either. So, that's that, I guess?
Oh! I had sushi for lunch yesterday. It was so good! During maternity leave, I got sushi twice from a place in my neighborhood and it was gross. It was nice to go back to my fave sushi place next to my office. I stuffed my face hole with ALL the raw fish.
B has been sleeping well, so I'm nervous to travel for Easter and mess up his routine. When we get back I'm going to try to put him in his crib in DDs room. Someone hold me.
Hey, thanks. It's been a crazy night. My Little brother's wife came last night and watched the monitor so I could see my mom. They did a CT in the emergency room and then transferred her to a bigger hospital in the area. The CT scan Showed a spot on her brain, they don't know if it's a tumor or a bleed, and what kind of bleed it is if it is a bleed. They moved her to this other hospital because there's a neurosurgeon on staff there in case they have to do surgery after the MRI they do this morning when they determine what's going on. My other sister-in-law who goes to the same moms group as I do on Thursday came and picked up Dd this morning and took her with her. So R is sleeping now with my husband is at home and when he wakes up he will feed him and then hopefully get him back down in about an hour so I'm headed to the hospital now. That is what are normally does but his first nap but of course when I'm counting if it will happen. My husband works again tonight and tomorrow night so sleep but he told me to take up much time as I need.

Drinking all the coffee. It's gross but necessary. If nothing else, the act of drinking it is keeping me awake. I should really stop using the creamer here because it makes my stomach angry but whatever. I'm counting down the minutes until pump time so no one expects anything of me for 20 minutes.

I buy lactose free creamer. Wal-Mart should have it.
I'd rather have a caffeine if but until they make that a thing...

Continuing to send you big huge hugs meeggaannw. I hope you get some answers today and it's the least serious outcome. I'm glad you have family to help out a little and your H is being a rockstar.
Yay for your H and getting some sleep heybulldog56! That's so awesome. It's amazing what a good stretch can do.
rinny, I'm sorry for the crappy sleep. I hope it gets better for you. And don't worry, a little whining never hurt a baby. Do what you have to do lady.
Today is my Friday (daycare is closed tomorrow so I had to take a vacation day) and I'm so glad. This week has exhausted me. My parents are coming to town for the weekend and I've done zero prepping. I guess I'll run to the store tomorrow since we have no food for them in the house. My first pumping session was crap this morning too. I'm starting to worry I'm going to dry up super fast now that I'm back at work, and that makes me beyond sad. Stupid job messing with my already low supply and keeping me away from my kiddos, and stupid body for not cooperating.

I had a wonky morning I am working from home and my log in was all messed up. At least today is my Friday. I'm able to do some laundry while working which is helpful. E has been napping a lot more lately and is super fussy. It's not normal so my guess is it's teething, even though I don't see or feel any teeth popping through. What are some of the best ways to handle teething? I have frozen teethers but she doesn't like them, she likes her sophie though. Not sure what else can help or if it's worth a call to the pedi.

peaseblossom55, honestly the only thing that ever helps with teething is Tylenol. Teething is certainly no fun and I'm sorry you're going through it already. Have you felt in her mouth to see if there is anything popping through or close to it? I would maybe try that just to rule out anything else (random ear infection or something else that may require a trip to the pedi). Hang in there!

Nothing is popping through as far as I can tell. She just spends most of her time now trying to get her fist in her mouth and is overall happy when she has her fingers in her mouth.

I just realized I was sitting around watching cartoons while the baby was asleep, when I could have been showering. And now it's too late and we have to go out.

Ah yes. Noah is the same way. He's all about the fingers and fist in his mouth. Lately he's been stuffing them so far in his mouth that he's making himself gag. Fun times! Hang in there.

F does this too. But it seems early for him to be teething. Not sure about E? I think he's just happy he has hands.

My morning started off great with another 3 mile walk and some outside time. Then off to the store again to hit up some good sales and grab some ingredients for something Mh wants to make tomorrow. I got home and realized I was missing a bag. I guess the cashier forgot to set it up on the counter. It was one of my favorite cashiers so we were chatting and both distracted with a greeting card that she was putting in a special bag. So I had to strap in and haul both of the kids back to the store for something that took 10 seconds to run in and get. I wanted to cry because I was hangry and exhausted from the walk. Of course ds fell asleep during the five extra minutes in the car so I'm sure nap time will be fun. So that's thrown of my schedule and mood.
She was glad I came back to get the bag and said that many people don't. Which surprised me. I'm wondering if they just don't care (I'm too cheap for that!) or if they're buying so much at once that they don't notice that their bag of x, y, and z is missing when they unpack?

I left a bag at target about a month ago, it just had two items, crackers and something else dumb. I realized about 2 hours later at home when I went to get the crackers I bought. I was too lazy to go back.
