My day got off to a fun start around 5 a.m, when I awoke to the sounds of DH throwing up in the bathroom. He's got whatever B had this past weekend and is currently quarantined in our room.
DH goes into martyr mode when he's sick so next thing I know, he's getting dressed for work! I had to lay down the law. So dumb. Call your boss. (Surprise: boss was like, please stay home).
So I will be spending the day disinfecting my house.

Another work day here. I am meeting w a recruiting agency in a few minutes and they're supposed to be bringing me and my staff lattes, so that is appreciated. Jokes on them bc we rarely use agencies and prefer to do our own recruiting.
Dh does the same thing Liz. It's so frustrating when he comes home at deaths door because he didn't listen and take the day off. It makes me have less empathy for his illness. I hope your H is better soon.
Where are you off to Cherhorowitz? Is this San Diego? He
Yep. If the Free World grinds to a halt today, you all know why...b/c Liz's husband stayed home from work.
B's illness lasted 24 hours so hopefully this will be brief!
Morning. We have the burial later this morning so H will not be going to preschool. S slept in my bed last night and when she woke me up to nurse an hour ago I thought she felt warm. Well now she's cuddling with me and I'm positive she has a fever. I guess she will be riding in my Tula this morning. We are going out for brunch after we are done at the cemetery.
LizInFL my DH also doesn't like to miss work because he is sick. He was having pancreatitis pain and still worked (super painful). I hope he's feeling better soon.

Just curious - does H understand what has happened and what is going on? Lots of love and hugs to your family today.
Safe travels today Cherhorowitz and wedding! I hope you all are not flying United.
JetBlue. But I do have United tix in the future. Truth be told, I'm not boycotting them. They were completely wrong but I fly whoever gets me to my destination quickest and they're the only ones who fly direct to Cabo from NYC. Soooo ....I will fly United again.

We loved United bc they're the only ones who had a nonstop to Honolulu from here (IAD). I would still fly them too, especially that route!

They have direct flights to HI from NYC with laydown seats so I'm with you. I have never been crazy about them customer service-wise. Delta, JetBlue and Virgin Atlantic are my preferences but my convenience always wins out.
X had a choking incident at daycare yesterday. I guess they had to flip him over and thump his back until he vomited. So no more puffs for awhile.
They're having a potluck at school today. Thankfully, someone wrote down that they were bringing cupcakes even though they weren't on the list of requested items, so I was able to run to WF and get one for Dude.
Really? I was wondering if it was beach/pool weather because it could go either way with that temp but MH said it's pretty much always perfect there too.

I've never been!
I was the Jersey girl laying by the pool even though it was only 57 last weekend. The sun was warm but it was breezy.
United got us from San Diego to Newark in 4 hours and 28 minutes on Monday so I will still fly them. Our next flight is booked on Southwest. I have never flown them. A little nervous about the open seating thing with the kids.

Is C going with you?
It's a great little place for a family vacation. There's a lot to do and see but it's generally not as crowded as our beaches in OC and LA.

Morning!
I don't think I mentioned it, but this past weekend I developed a cold starting with a really sore throat. Today I woke up and I finally feel like I'm turning a corner. Robitussin, Emergen-C, and a bag of cough drops for the win. I've been doing all I can to get better before next week because we travel to NC for my niece's baby dedication. We haven't seen her since Thanksgiving, so I'm excited to spend some time with her.
Nothing happening today. I need to get a workout in, do some house work, and then I work later.

Check in for your flight online 24 hours in advance to the minute! If you don't get boarding group A, you should be able to family board after group A boards. I believe you can pay a little extra to get in group A right now, if you wanted to. I don't know what the cost is though.
I was going to say this. The earlier you check in, the more options you will have. Like she said, 24 hours to the minute so you will be in the first boarding group. If you forget- family boarding should get you options after the first group.

Thanks, I saw families with kids under 6 get family boarding. I didn't know if that would allow all 5 of us to board. DD will be 7 but frequently vomits on flights so I can't not be with her. I don't care if we split 3/2, we usually have to do that anyway. (Or maybe let the puking kid sit with a stranger and then, not my problem?)

I'm totally going back with my kids someday soon. I loved California. I was wondering why I don't live there. Our friends who got married last week plan to move back by her family when he finished his residency next year so we will definitely visit.

Yup. We're up in the air now. We're going to do a little zoo and LegoLand and some pool and beach.
