Up nursing. Last night I pumped for the first time! Looking forward to introducing bottles soonish so that H and others can help with feedings.
It's amazing how your body adapts to sleep deprivation. I just had the most insane and unpleasant dreams that felt so real. When I woke up to L's fussing I was sure I slept for hours but it was only 30 mins. Ugh. Trying to make the bassinet work but I might give up soon and get him back in the RnP
. that's a lot. I feel like feedings are time consuming and exhausting and I'm just doing one thing- I hope your LC is supportive and you can eliminate at least one of the feeding types.

. I'm sorry your motn nursing didn't go well. When I was trying to get ds to nurse so I could be done with triple feedings, I just tried nursing in the evenings and during the day when we were a little less tired. I was losing enough sleep as it is and didn't need to add a battle to the nighttime process. By the time we got nursing figured out, he was sleeping through the night and he didn't need to be okay with nursing motn anyway.

The good news is DD slept a 6 hour stretch. The bad news is I'm sure this is not the new normal and my left boob is hard as a rock so I'm going to need to pump after I get her back down.
If this is the new normal that would be fabulous. Especially if I could stop waking up to pee and enjoy it.
I've been in the triple hell for 7 weeks now - boob, suppliment, pump. It sucks and it's draining. So I feel your frustration when your efforts don't show results. It really does suck.
I hope the LC can help again.
I'm just now seeing a slight improvement in DS latching- he now lasts 10 minutes per side most times. I do see milk dripping from my nipple when I latch him so I know milk is there. But he still won't pull enough milk to be a full feed and satisfy him. So now my nipples are doing double duty with the extra nuring and the usual pumping for every feed.
DS slept well in his crib again for 1.hrs. He woke up for the second time from his leaking disposable diaper. I put him in a disposable at night thinking it will last longer than cloth if he ends up sleeping a good stretch. But he out pees them and leaks out. This never happens in cloth. And since I only have one mattress protector, one pee equals the end of crib sleeping for the night. So annoying!
I need to get a nightime cloth solution and a second mattress protector asap!
mikaela20 is the disposable you're using too small?
I was wondering if he is outgrown the newborn size already. It physically fits him but maybe he out pees their absorbancy limit? I don't know. I have size 1's so maybe I will see if they fit him and try that out.

The bassinet was never really successful for us. RNP has helped me alot when I finally got one.

mikaela20 def sounds like he needs to go up a size. Try the size 1s.
mosdub don't feel bad about having to use the RnP! It was a life/sleep saver for me with DD.
. so sorry about your nursing situation. I hope the LC has more help to offer! If not, don't feel bad about exclusively pumping! Do what you have to do to feed your baby and for everyone to get some sleep!
erinshelley21 FX this is your new normal and that your boobs adjust accordingly!
Hi ladies. We're here. Tried to go to bed earlier last night but was woken up 1/2 hr later then again now (3 hours later). This has been one of his worst stretches so I'm going back to our old routine tomorrow. Happily, DH is working from home tomorrow then it's the weekend! Hopefully a nap is in my future.

Definitely go to size one! My toddler and now Max have both always gone up diaper sizes long before the smaller size was "too small." Champion pee-ers. Max went to size ones at I think 4 weeks old? And he wasn't huge or anything.
I did cloth nearly 100% at home with my first, but finally switched her to disposables at night when she was a little over a year old. I'm basically just going to disposables at night with Max because they hold a LOT more pee. I did cloth at night with him early on since he needed a new diaper every 1-2 hours (ugh, all that newborn poop!) but now that he's sleeping longer, it's just so much easier.
And I feel like I can relate to everything being said here this morning! mikaela20, DD always was in a size diaper bigger than I thought she should need due to leaking/blowouts mosdub I love the RnP and see nothing wrong with it! We transitioned DD around 3-4 months but even then she'd sleep in her crib until 4am or so and then sleep the last couple hours of the night in the RnP because it's where she was most comfortable. Our pedi even recommended doing it this way so I have no guilt this time around. And yay for sharing feedings!!! . good luck talking to the LC! And if they aren't helpful definitely just do whatever works for you to feed that kiddo! I'm so impressed with your dedication to pumping! erinshelley21 I'm so jealous tonight! Hoping this is your new normal!
So tired. My supply seems to fluctuating again. My right boon, which had always been the bigger producer, seems to get really full super quick anymore. (Like rock hard shortly after a feeding.). I don't pump after feedings (only once yesterday when DS didn't most if that side sleeping, so I pumped fit like 5 minutes to relieve the fullness and gave him the milk immediately in a bottle.) So I know pumping isn't causing the increase. While I'm glad I'm producing enough, he still takes freaking forever to eat (usually an hour, minimum) and I hate that I get uncomfortable so quick.
H gets off work at noon today, so my in-laws are coming over and H and I are going out to lunch without baby. I'm excited.

I'm pretty sure that E is starting her three week growth spurt. She's eating every two hours, so I'm pretty damn exhausted. Plus, my nips hurt. At least she's cute?

My cat snuck into the bedroom when DH left to console the 4 year old's nightmare. Obi is 13 lbs of pure love and he's giving all that love to E by nuzzling her head while she nurses. It's pretty cute. Poor guy is going to be so sad when I kick him back out.
. that sounds really stressful for you. I hope the LC has a helpful plan for you. Because that's not sustainable for you!
mosdub we didn't have RNP for our first two. DS would've benefited so much from it because of his reflux. I'm happy we have ours and DD 2 sleeps in it. No shame!
mikaela20 I'd definitely up the size of diapers! We only used NB for 2 weeks bc I didn't want to have leaks from pee.
H had a long day planned at work yesterday and we thought he'd be home by 1 am or so. He texted me at 2 to let me know he was still there, something came up and he'd likely be a few more hours. Poor guy still isn't home. He's going to be exhausted. I plan on taking the kids out so he can sleep!
For now, I'm going to pump then run so I'm finished exercising before the older two are up!

I have lunch with a friend today that I'm looking forward to. I also need to sort through my clothes if I can find time. I don't fit into most pre-pregnancy clothes, but my maternity shirts and dresses need to be stored for sure. I have some maxi skirts and dresses that fit, and some shorts I bought in first tri. Right now all my summer clothes and all my maternity clothes are out and I don't have room for everything in my dresser, so it has overflowed and our room is a mess.
Last night was a crappy night sleep. T is snotty and again and I felt like he was up every 1 hour and 1/2. Also, here we go day 2 of potty training. I think any accident already happened.

We are all up, fed and showered if needed. DH is getting ready to head to OH to help our bffs move home tomorrow. They are the ones that were due right after us and the baby is 2 weeks old now. I'm so excited to have them home. Not so excited to be solo an extra night this week but it will be worth it to have my wine bff home!
DD and I are going to a bf'ing support group so I can do a weighed feeding and see how much this chunky thing weighs. Also need to run a few errands.
