Below is a list of participants. If I missed you or you're new, tell me your EDD in your post below and I'll add you to the list.
I know participation has slowed down in this thread. My due date is rapidly approaching so looking to pass this along when I bow out. Congrats to everyone in advance if I do not log in for a while postpartum

How far along are you? 39w2d How are you feeling (emotionally/physically)? Definitely anxious as we await the birth of baby monkey. Everything is generally "ready", but labor just happens so it's like waiting to be struck by lightning. Physically I am looking forward to being able to touch my toes again. Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparations, etc.? Need to put the bucket seat base in the car this weekend. Upcoming milestones or appointments? Birth of child sometime between now and 4/26 QOTW: Favorite cuisine (Southern, Thai, Mexican, Italian, etc.)? Bonus points for recipes. Really craving Indian right now, probably because my sister took her kids to my favorite Indian place for my niece's school cultural project. I make a crock-pot Aloo Gobi that is pretty good.
How far along are you? Week/Fruit/Whatever: 19w, size of a Game Boy How are you feeling (emotionally/physically)? Feeling good. Still physically struggling (tired, achy, nauseous) but emotionally feeling better after the AS. Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparations, etc.? Nothing to update. Wanting to buy ALL THE THINGS for this baby now that I'm getting excited to meet him/her. Upcoming milestones or appointments? Regular MW checkup last time. QOTW: Favorite cuisine (Southern, Thai, Mexican, Italian, etc.)? Bonus points for recipes. Right now I want sushi all the time, it's one of my favorite foods and I miss it so much. I also really like Mexican food. But for the most part, all food is super, super gross to me and the idea of looking up a recipe is no bueno.
Geez you are close greenmonkey1! That's a good analogy about waiting to be struck by lightning.
@saiven you say you've had the anatomy scan but didn't refer to a boy or girl - are you keeping it a surprise? We are going to be surprised at birth.
How far along are you? 31 weeks + 4 days
How are you feeling? Mostly fine, just normal huge belly annoyances
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparations? Now our completion discounts are available but I think I'll wait another few weeks to use them - until we get all the baby stuff down from the attic and I confirm that nothing from up there needs to be replaced.
Upcoming milestones or appointments? Regular check up Monday
QOTW: favorite cuisine - Mexican. Mmm guacamole and margaritas - one day soon after this baby is born
How far along are you? 10w6d How are you feeling (emotionally/physically)? Blah! Ready to be past this all day sickness/general feeling of yuck. Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparations, etc.? I have a meeting with my boss this week to catch up. I feel like I should probably spill the beans but I'm nervous since I'm not 12 weeks yet and the timing isn't so great for maternity leave. Do I go in being forward about this being a surprise and I'm sorry about the timing or not? Any advice?? Upcoming milestones or appointments? NT scan next Monday. QOTW: Favorite cuisine (Southern, Thai, Mexican, Italian, etc.)? Bonus points for recipes. I've really been craving stir fry and Mexican. And all foods salty.
liziz, I have a team outing next week with drinking and they will say something if I'm not because it would be strange...so I'm planning on telling my team next week beforehand but after our NT scan and I'll be 12 weeks. I feel like I need to tell my boss first and it would be strange that I didn't come out and say it during our update meeting this week because we will be talking about plans for the team that I manage and we don't meet often. I feel like it's getting hard to hide this belly too! I feel like it popped out overnight.
mellym, I asked on this board and overwhelmingly was told to hide it as long as possible, so I didn't say anything until 20-ish weeks. It's my third and I was definitely showing and most people were like "yeah, we figured," but I think there were multiple upsides to waiting to tell. I wanted to wait until after the anatomy scan and a salary review and I'm really glad that I did.

mellym I would tell work when you are ready. There are a million legit reasons you can come up with for not drinking. You can always go with the "getting beach body ready" since summer is on the horizon or say you have joined one of the million 30-day detox challenges and yours specifically restricts alcohol. If you are ready to tell work then by all means, go for it, but I wouldn't rush it just for the team outing if you are not ready.
Trapeze dresses, tunics, empire waist dresses/shirts - all good for hiding a baby belly. I popped a lot earlier with this one (third) and know how hard it can be to hide the bump.
I wouldn't mention anything about the pregnancy being a surprise, but that's me. Maternity leave is likely never at a convenient time. I know my maternity leave is going to come at a less than awesome time for my office, but they'll survive.
And congrats again, I hope I am not coming off judgey. Just my two cents.
I'm going to hold off and wait until after the 12 week scan. Thanks for the perspective everyone! I can't wait until it's out in the open though. It's hard not to talk about all the things going on in my head related to baby!
greenmonkey1, not judgey at all. I appreciate the thoughts. I know the team will be fine but it's the people pleaser in me that is worried about how they'll feel about me being gone the busiest time of the year. You're right though, they will survive.
