So my mom thinks I'm "no fun". Because o don't hide the Easter basket. But...when I was a kid I hated having to look for it because she hid it in the most impossible places and I could never fond it.
So what say March 17? Is hiding it a thing or is my mom making this up?
Our baskets were always hidden. I loved finding my brothers' baskets ahead of time (all older) and watching them struggle to find them.
H never had a hidden basket, but wanted to hide them for our kids. So, they were hidden in plain sight. We lined them up on the table last night and the EB hid them overnight
The same as hiding the eggs I suppose! We set the baskets out, empty. The kids look for them in the morning, knowing they're filled with goodies! They have egg hunts at the grandparents' houses with their cousins.
Growing up our baskets were hidden. It was always fun trying to find it. But, it was never impossibly hidden. We never did eggs growing up.
Last year, when dd1 was only a year and a half we had it in plain sight. This year we "hid" it on the bottom shelf of an end table - still pretty much in plain sight.
My parents switched back and forth. Some years they were hidden, other years they weren't. I think my third sister requested they be hidden, and then we started hiding them....

We only hide eggs. I only heard of hiding baskets last year. This year I've been very lazy...no baskets, no visits to the bunny. We're coloring eggs today and that's about it.

At Mom's it was on the kitchen table; at Dad's it was on the coffee table. The bunny brought everything, including the basket (which I think was different/new each year). We only did egg hunts if we went to see my stepmoms extended family.
My mom hid the baskets but didn't do eggs at all. I liked looking for the basket, and it was probably easier than loading a bunch of eggs and hiding them lol.
I'd never heard of hiding the basket. We always hunted for the little foil wrapped eggs. My mom usually just set a few things (choccy bunny, stuffed animal) on our nightstand while we slept.
