Definitely played the penis game in HS! Lord have mercy... lol
Speaking of PENISES... peni? We're 2 lesbians raising a son. We know nothing about penises. How the hell are we going to get him to stand to pee? LOLZ
So happy it's Friday. This week really flew by. Jake's second haircut is tomorrow at a for realz barber. First haircut was a Disney. I hope he does ok.
runningmommy519 I feel you on the friends with unvaccinated kids problem. Since moving here I have made exactly four friends that I'm close enough with that we do stuff on the regular. I know for a fact one of them vaccinates on a delayed schedule, and then I highly suspect two of them don't vaccinate. Hate it.

zonagirl I really am only super concerned right now because of the small outbreak we are having in a county close to mine. I mean it's not like it's the other side of the state. I could drive and get to this county in 20 min. So there is a chance these unvaccinated kids could come in contact with measles and if they do they have a pretty high chance of getting it. I guess the MMR is 93% effective with the first dose and 97% with the booster. That to me means that if Ethan comes into contact with the measles he has a 7% change of getting it. That's fucking scary.

I guess I should say there is a 7% chance the vaccine will not work. He might come into contact with measles (and he's the 7%) but he still doesn't get it.

@janetheconquerer funny thing. I sent an email to my fellow board members (I am certain they all vaccinate) and said "do you believe that we should include what family's vaccinate on our rooster so that family's can make decisions on weather or not to attend events or playgroups" and I am being shot down because "this is often a private or personal decision" "we don't want members to feel like they aren't included" "how many times do we go places and might be around unvaccinated kids and not even know" 🙄
Dinner done, kitchen picked up, kids bathed. Need to do my work out before having wine. I also need to do a major pick up and dust so I don't have much to do tomorrow.

Anti-Finger Sucking Device is on. There were some initial tears but I put on Trolls and she is watching without sucking .. She's playing with it a bit which is what I wanted her to do before she got into her crib. The next step is to give her her lovely. There is no sleeping without it but it also encourages the finger sucking so if it's a problem, it'll have to go. 😟
abominationsnowman, I totally will strap E into the stroller or car before I'm completely ready with gathering up things, just so I can do it calmly. I also bring the groceries in before him!
I did have a friend once ask if I thought it was OK if she left her 6 month old (at the time) sleeping in the car while she ran into Trader Joe's for a few things. I was like...."maybe if it were 1985 but no way. Take that baby in with you!"
Good luck taketheshot! I should probably know this, but why is the finger sucking bad? Dental problems?
It's no different than a pacifier, it's just a bad habit that I don't want her to have. I sucked my thumb until I was an embarrassingly old age and I remember every attempt my parents made to make me stop. If I nip this now, she'll never remember the habit. And yes, I had years of braces to correct the damage I did to my mouth so hopefully preventing that
The music festival was so much fun this afternoon/evening. We found a spot mostly in the shade where we could still see and hear. M was awesome. I mean he wouldn't eat his dinner H bought, but he had 2 pouches, peanut butter crackers, and goldfish, so at least he ate 😂
M danced, and we played. I flipped him once and then had to do it over and over. He was up two hours past his bedtime, but I'm hoping he sleeps well because of all the playing. All the hippie girls were fawning all over him. There was a 16 month old girl that kept trying to hug him, but he was not down with that 😂
ampaints that sounds so fun! I wish they still did the Big Guava Fest here. The last year they did it was the year we were all pregnant. They stopped citing too many other festivals in the area but they're not the same. And yes, Portland is great!! I've been twice or is it three times?? It'll be the first trip for Wife and Jake.
