Sitting here waiting for DH to get home from work so I can go to my dad's to complete my taxes. My life is a ball of fun! Lol. And I have to wait because my van is not fixed, and need to do my taxes to see how much of a refund we will get, to know how much out of my trip fund will need to go to fix the van. Adulting is stupid some days!

@janetheconquerer, your insurance seems like a giant PITA. And, also, why didn't the office tell you that they didn't accept your insurance when you arrived at the appointment and showed them your card?

I cooked all evening for some peace and to feel more productive. It was a delicious evening. First apricot stuffed pork chops with pesto, and Parmesan garlic roasted carrots
Then, DH requested a cake and it turned out so damn good!!
Who is still using a monitor? If you're not can you hear your kid if they cry? Or are they old enough to figure it out until wake up time?
All of the above. Video monitors are in their rooms mainly for play time, so I can watch them when I'm in the kitchen or something. We use them for like an hour after ds goes to bed because he is still coming out of his bed, so I need to see where he is to move him back to bed eventually. But I can hear them if they cry, and I usually leave them to figure it out.
So af hasn't shown up officially yet, which is good news. I celebrated with some great couch sex last night.
In other news, dd is catching on more to illnesses and reactions to them. So for the last 3 days her ankle hurts, her belly hurts, and her ear hurts. But the ear switches and the pain goes from one ear into the other then down to her stomach and into her ankle. And she needddsssss to go to the doctor tonightttttt.
When she has an EI she's usually laid up on the couch and miserable, but she's been running and jumping and playing normally.
I feel bad kind of dismissing it, but I just keep telling her that she can sleep it off and see how she feels in the Am. Then she doesn't mention it all day until she sees me.
I'm going to give dd today, and if she's still saying her ear hurts, I'm taking her tonight to the Dr. It's so hard to tell when it's real or just a 3.5 yr old being a 3.5 year old seeking the attention.
W almost Sttn! He woke up at 430 and then at 630 (his normal time). I woke up a few times to check the monitor thinking I had turned off the sound or something. This kid never does this. We rarely have to get him but he does wake up a few times each night. He must have been exhausted. I'm drinking delicious coffee (I added some left over whipped cream to it) and doing dishes. How are you ladies doing?
