MissSally, I don't even have a registry yet. I'm going to make one at Target and Babies R Us for the completion coupons for the things we do need. But with this being another girl born in the same season, I'm not expecting anything.
I agree with bepandnick's suggestions, xxjen015. The vibe of the office and the demeanor of the nurses are huge. As for the sick and the well room area, our pediatrician has one large waiting room. But they will move newborns / infants (or children who are immuno-compromised) to an exam room as soon as you get there so your child isn't exposed to all of the sick germs in the waiting room. As for breastfeeding / formula feeding support, I feel like I tend to get more flack for nursing (especially extended nursing). It seems that formula feeding is more acceptable in my area, so that's why I only mentioned BFing support. But yes, the key is having a doctor who supports how you choose to feed your baby - be it breastmilk or formula.
We went from a smaller practice (3 pediatricians) to a larger practice (2 offices; 5 pediatricians + one nurse practitioner). I thought I would prefer the smaller office but I actually prefer the bigger one. It makes it easier to get in for a sick visit because there are more doctors available.

So I'm getting my new car this week. DS has always sat in the middle in my current car. But now where do I put him? On the driver's side or passenger side? Which side is better for the baby?

I think statistically the passenger side is safer.

We do new baby on passenger side. That way when I get out I get toddler out with me then get the baby out. My first 2 were (and still are) so attentive and did whatever I told them. So, I would tell them to keep a hand on the car beside me while I got the baby out and they did. A is a whole other beast! I am probably going to put the new baby behind me and keep A on the passenger side because I can't trust him to not run off!
xxjen015 I'll just +92726363 to all the same day visit suggestions, and how good the nurses line is, how long does it take to get someone on the line, will they actually call back if they have to ask the dr, etc.
Also have you seen the PLL thread on parenting? It's back tonight!!
Did you watch PLL tonight? Dh and I just finished watching. It was good, but a little slow. I expected that from the first episode though.

After gymnastics today we went to pick strawberries! It was so fun to do with the kids. My 2 cousins and their 5 kids went as well. Then we all went back and made jam and let the kids play. It was a very long, but nice day. We didn't hear a peep out of the kids after I tucked them in.
We went car shopping over the weekend. We looked at the Highlander and the Pilot. We decided to go with the Highlander. So now we're in the negotiating process. Our credit union has an auto buying program and now I'm negotiating between 2 dealers. And I really have no idea what I'm doing. But if they end up offering me the same thing, how do I choose which to go with?
We bought a Highlander in October because we needed the 3rd row with 3u4. We LOVE it! We didn't even look at the Pilot because of price for the same features. We also got a great deal at the end of the year on the '16. We have to have AWD because of where we live and wanted the captains chairs, so the Highlander was the most logical choice for us based on price for those two features.

Yes!! It was slow, but good! There's just so much to be answered in so little time! I'm really hoping I won't end up disappointed.
I'm so lost while watching PLL, partly because I can't remember what happened in my real life an hour ago so remembering so many seasons of a show is laughable, and partly because that show is just crazy and there's so many plot holes that nothing makes sense.
I love/hate it and can't wait for it to be over so I can stop being mad at the TV on Tuesday nights, haha.
So I think I may have SPD. Lifting my leg to put on pants or to turn over in bed is excruciating, and I can't sit on hard surfaces without feeling like my body is cracking in half. I worked from home on Monday so that I could work laying down but I can't just stay home every day without some sort of reason. I'm imagining trying to tell my boss why I can't come in: "Sitting in my car for my hour long commute and then an office chair for 10 hours makes me feel like my vagina is falling out and my pubic bone is shattering. I won't be in the office today, or like ever."
My next appointment is in a week. Trying to decide if I should call now and tell the nurse that my crotch is caving in and that the pain is radiating up my backside or if I should try to wait it out.

Have you tried a chiropractor? This pain that you're describing sounds exactly what I had with DS, and it comes back a little if I go too far between adjustments now
I haven't tried that. Does it hurt? I'm tensing up just thinking about it.
I'll have to do some research to find a chiro in my area. It's worth a try. I can't even sit in our regular dining chairs for dinner. We've been eating in our formal dinning room because the chairs are upholstered.
I'm soooooo tired this morning but we've got a big day ahead of us. Poor ds has his two year doctor appointment worth shots - I'm nervous about it. I'm afraid he's old enough to know what's coming but too young for me to explain and help him feel better about it. 😬 I'm gonna feel so mean! Plus ds is tiny teeny tiny weight wise, like 4th percentile. He doesn't eat much and gains like no weight, so I swear they always look at me like I'm not feeding him. I swear I try! He's pretty healthy, he's just very skinny.
Then I have an appointment with my new doctor which involves an orientation thingy and the actual appointment half an hour later. Here's hoping ds isn't too grumpy after the shots and that I can stay awake 😏
linny12 so sorry about the pain. I've had little touches of spd type pain and it's excruciating! I struggle more with my sacrum. I second @pianolove suggestion of chiropractor and stretches. It can really help! Hope it lets up soon.

My 2 year old has always been around the 3/5th percentile for weight too. Doesn't eat much despise my efforts!
Woo hoo! All dr appointments went well today. Ds did great with his shot and his first lollypop seemed to more than make up for the "pokey". Plus, best of all, he's gone from 4th percentile to 12th, so he's actually making ground. Yay! And no melt downs from lack of nap either
Does anyone else feel a heaviness in their chest/lungs? I feel like I can't take a deep breath. And I get winded trying to roll over in bed... maybe this is just third trimester.

I definitely feel like I've got more pressure on my chest and can't breath quite as easily. Plus definitely get winded easier though Not quite that easily. I'm 27 weeks for reference

Yes. DS always stayed very low and didn't effect my breathing this much but this little stinker is all up in my ribs and stomach. I'm just grateful she's moved off my bladder/cervix some now that she's flipped. I'm still a bit worried about the fact that she has 2.5 months of growing to do still in there. I may suffocate.

Yup. I can't lay on my back or even recline in a chair. The ultrasound tech explained to me today the baby can compress a major vein that carries blood back to the heart so you feel like you're not getting enough oxygen... or something like that.

I'm not there yet but I remember feeling this way past pregnancy!
I'm huffing and puffing just walking up the stairs now. It's pretty crazy. My doctor did mention she was up a bit higher than normal but that's common with it not being the first pregnancy.
