Yikes thelittleredm. Long day ahead. Last week of leave for me 😭😭😭I kept DS home and we have our first class at a local nature center. I think he will love it and hopefully I can successfully wrangle both babes.
Your day sounds so fun! H is home with the boys today. His first solo parenting for longer than an hour or two. I can't decide if that's scary or exciting for me.

What's up with these babies? B was up around 3:30 as well (and has been for a few nights now). He only falls (and stays) asleep if I put him in bed with me.
On the other hand, DS1 has slept through the night every night since we've been at my parents. Now if only the baby would sleep more than 3 hours at a time.
I'm enjoying coffee now and then my mom and I are taking the boys to a botanical garden with a butterfly house. FX DS1 doesn't crush any butterflies.

I am pretty tired too. I was so excited for Easter. E wound up screaming crying most of the day, from when we went out to brunch, then to the IL's and until we got home. It was exhausting. I thought maybe it was just being out and meeting new people, but I'm pretty sure it's teeth. I feel a raise gum slightly on her lower left side.
MIL sent us home with a lot of leftovers so I shouldn't need to cook tonight.
Morning! We've been at my ILs all weekend. Driving at bedtime was a total fail, so we are going to attempt driving at naptime today.
I'm having all the feels today. It dawned on me I only have 1 full day at home with the baby left. Travelling today, allergy testing for DS1 tomorrow, home Wednesday, daycare for a few hours Thursday while I prep for work (getting all my pumping stuff together etc), then work Friday! I just want to bottle the feeling of sleepy baby snuggles forever. I wish leave could last until they grow out of the super cuddly stage.
Hey ladies, sorry to be so lurky lately. I keep starting replies and then something happens and I don't finish it.
C hasn't been getting up at 330, but all last week 5am was play time, then she would go back down around 7 but I was done for the day. We went to bed late last night and she got up at 630 instead but wouldn't go back down til just now when she got all kinds of cranky, so we're sitting here snuggling. My MIL needed to switch Monday for Tuesday baby days, so my days off are also switching. I'm ok with it, but there are a few definite Monday things I need to do today, hopefully she lets me get it all done.
We did manage to get a 4 generation picture finally with Hs grandma and parents yesterday, so I'm super excited about that. Besides that Easter was mostly uneventful and enjoyable. Minimal drama 😂
I hope everyone who's back to work is starting to adjust well. It's definitely thrown me for a loop.

My parents finished all the regular coffee k cups. Only hazelnut left and I hate hazelnut. FWP. I guess we will be stopping at dunkins or Starbucks before the butterfly garden.
It's rainy here which is kind of nice. We've been so busy with the outside activities and Easter it's nice to relax. I did hit up the post Easter grocery sales and am hoping for a walk this afternoon when the rain clears up. On the docket is cleaning up the kitchen, cutting up fruits and veggies, etc.

We are home from the botanical garden. All butterflies survived! DS1 did not like them flying near him so we didn't spend too much time there. Now it's time for nap.

Hiya! H is four months old today! it is so crazy to me how time is flying! He is doing so great, we have our check up on Friday but he is probably 16+ pounds of sweet baby. He just discovered his hands, and can't keep them out of his mouth...so much drool! He's started trying to roll and I think he'll have it in about a week. He was sleeping really well, but I think the 4month regression hit this week, so we'll see how it goes. how/where are your babies sleeping? rock n play? crib? pack n play? co-sleep? swaddle? your room or baby's room? DH and I are split on the next step.
I'm doing well too, the c-section healed well, I've lost some of the baby weight, the worst unexpected was the PPD and PPA were/are horrible, and I decided not to take the meds, until I stop pumping. H never latched so we exclusively pump which is not awful.
how was everyone's Easter? we had to do both sides of the family again, it was exhausting! as expected, in law relationships are... tenser? now with a baby.
I decided to baptize H, so that is coming up, anyone else doing it? I was raised catholic but am not a church-goer, H is nothing and is going along after much cajoling. My mom has the baptism gown my brothers and I wore for us to use, I love the tradition! DH doesn't like a gown for a boy. eye roll.

LovesMeSomeCake, sorry about the ppd/ppa. I too got hit with it and am on Zoloft. Are you feeling ok without the meds? There are some meds that are ok to take while BFing/ pumping (if that's something you are comfortable/ interested in). I'm not BFing but both my pedi and LC assured me that Zoloft was ok back when I was. Of course it is all personal choice but no need to suffer in order to successful BF or pump. PPD is a bitch.
As far as baby: he sleeps unswaddled in a Halo sleep sack. He is still in the pack n play in our room. Oh and he wore the same baptismal gown DS1 wore. Which happens to be the gown my cousins, siblings, and I all wore as well 😊
LovesMeSomeCake dd has been in the crib in her room for a couple weeks. I'm sleeping much better with her out of our room! She's in a sleep sack that has the Velcro swaddle option. I've been doing arms out most of the time. If she's really fussy arms in to start the night but she's the caboose and not rolling yet.

ellabee, that cake! mmmmm, that shot looks straight out of pottery barn, so pretty!
heybulldog56, it is a sneaky bitch too. I make the decision every day, and keep the meds on my nightstand just in case. Oddly, going back to work helped a bit, maybe the routine, or regular scheduled lunch , my work output has suffered, but one day at a time right?
also, what are your babies wearing under their sleep sack? We keep the house around 69 at night, and H is in a footed pj, then the arms in swaddle. he's been breaking out of it lately, but still startles awake without it - catch 22. lol, just when I think I have something figured out this baby changes it up.
any babies with teeth yet? I heard an old wives tale at work, teeth or hair, babies will have one or the other early, is this true for your baby so far? We have great hair, but no teeth yet.
LovesMeSomeCake, E has some hair coming in, most of it is blonde right now. She is already teething though. I haven't heard of the old wives' tale but interesting.

LovesMeSomeCake, have you tried swaddle me velcro swaddles? That's what we used with ds1 and he never broke out. Like lakegirl, we use a halo sleepsack with the velcro wrap for swaddling (we do arms out).
B wears either cotton or fleece footie pjs with either a fleece or cotton sleep sack, respectively. He also has a ton of hair and no teeth. I had never heard of that old wive's tale before!
