I have such a hard time with the response to night waking part. Rationally I know that it doesn't always help to rush to the rescue but in the wee hours of the morning it feels so much better to just "solve" the problem and get back to bed ASAP lol
I have been able to soothe a baby MOTN exactly zero times without a bottle. It is such a fruitless endeavor for me.
Same. Because one can only put a paci back in a mouth so many times....we end up just doing the endless paci dance until it's closer to a reasonable bottle time.

We sort of fell into it naturally. DS dropped to 3% weight so I was under doctors orders to feed him every three hours at night which included waking him up until four months, then he was in the habit of waking up which sucked.
Pretty much once he slept through the night on his own a few times I stopped offering to nurse because I figured he had proven he didn't need to nurse. (Obviously there were some exceptions like colds and stuff) really I think it was dumb luck.
He even self weaned himself 😩Which is nice but gives me all the feels.
We had popcorn chicken for lunch and R refused to eat the ones I cut in half for her. She would only eat mine. 😑 I'm not sure how safe I feel with her eating them whole since she only has the two teeth.
The night wakings and need for 3-4 paci attempts is the only reason we haven't moved DD out of our room yet. Otherwise, I wish she was sleeping in her own room. She rarely gets up to eat MOTN. BUT I do not want to walk into her room to try to paci thing, would much rather suddenly wake up and realize we've all been sleeping for the last 1/2 hour...
Oh goodness. R apparently carried her straw cup into the kitchen without me realizing it and made a huge puddle. She was loving playing in the water. Lol. I really wish I could find a straw cup that didn't leak. She is soaked!
mustloveerica, oh man I would love to hear everyone's ideas for witty comebacks! LOL
We have several gender neutral outfits for our girl and I always think it's funny when people assume she's a boy...
people are always assuming dd is a boy. I once had a woman on the bus tell me it's not polite to dress a baby girl like a boy. After my eyes made it back around to the front of my head I told her to fuck off because I didn't need to be polite. Then the rest of the twenty minute bus ride was a little awkward. Lol

We actually don't have that many pink outfits. I was anti pink when I was shopping. But they're wearing teal sleepers with butterflies on the chest.
Also we passed this lady on another street.... Lady: oh I forgot to ask. They're identical right? Me: nope they're actually fraternal (And they don't look anything alike...you guys have seen photos) Lady: oh i assumed identical because they're dressed the same
Oh right? I forgot their clothes dictate identical vs fraternal and not the fact that they came from two separate eggs.

I just can't with these people!! I can't believe someone would actually say that out loud to you.
Random stranger: oh twins!! Two boys? Me: no. Two girls. Stranger: but they're dressed in blue....
*rolls eyes*
Seriously?? WTF stranger??
How dare you dress your little girls in something not pink, purple, and frilly!!
Purple isn't even a guarantee. I had R in a grey top with grey, purple and white striped pants, and some lady at the doctor's office still assumed boy.
Though unless someone asks, I never bother correcting pronouns. It's not worth it and I don't actually care of someone thinks my baby is a boy.
Sometimes people get really apologetic when I correct them. "oh my god I'm so sorry I assumed she was a boy". Like I'm super offended that you thought my baby was a boy.....all babies look like boys.

Yeah. I don't get it. Unless you're changing a diaper and get it wrong, I won't think twice about it.

I had a lady almost try to touch R on the lips at Target once. While I was wearing him in my carrier no less!! I turned away from her, sent daggers flying with my eyes, and told her she shouldn't be touching babies' faces and walked away.
onesweetworld, I was just reading the weekend thread and I'm annoyed at your MIL. That post about your mom was so sweet. I hate when people act like saying something nice about someone is an insult to someone else. Get over yourselves....especially at 7 days PP.
She's lucky I didn't tell my mom about it lol. I did share it with a friend's mother who was completely disgusted. I'm an only child and my mom is a widow - we are her entire world.

She looked super offended but IDGAF.
Oh my god I can't believe the nerve of some people! I had a lady on the bus grab R's foot last summer and I totally went into rage mode. I got so pissed so fast.
