PSA: just ordered some sandals for J since his school just emailed that we have to leave water play shoes there. Crocs has some good sales..Got j and my niece pairs for $25 total and then some keens at Nordstrom rack (plus two pairs of jack Rogers for me to earn free shipping). I'm overlooking my distaste for most boy sandals and just going with the least offensive options that meet the no open toe school requirement.
Clearly I'm ignoring my previous post about not spending any more money.
UTI in older people are very dangerous and cause a lot of issues that younger women don't face. It can cause dementia and make it worse if they already have it. Any time my old boss' mom didn't know who she was she knew she had a UTI. Every.single.time. she was right.
Good to know. Thanks.
I experienced this a lot when I worked in a nursing home after college. UTI's are no joke for geriatrics. It can affect balance and all sorts of other things that we would expect in a younger person.
T asked to eat his chocolate bunny. I broke off the head and handed it to him. He had a huge fit that I broke the bunnies head and he wants it back on.
calishove I'm impressed you've been able to keep naps alive this long! B dropped them while I was pregnant, and it was torture...he went from sleeping 2-3 hours a day to nothing. Like others said, now I just encourage him to chill out in his room, on the couch or even in bed with me if the baby is sleeping (and sometimes he'll fall asleep anyway, especially if I put on a movie).
tallblonde I've also been a shopping machine lately and just bought some new Jacks...but now want to go see what Nordstrom Rack has! I always forget about them--my sister finds amazing stuff there.
DH got home early and just took B with him to the storage unit to drop off another load of boxes. C is cat-napping, it's nice having some quiet time to myself to pack more...orrrrrr pick at leftover Honeybaked Ham. They're going to stop at Chipotle for dinner to-go.
So V never took a nap, he instead fell asleep in the car at 5 pm on the way to speech like three blocks away. He cried and laid down on the ground in the parking lot, blocking traffic. It was a great afternoon.

Hi all! Hope everyone had a happy Easter! Ours was hectic. Fri night L puked 3 times. Seemed fine the next day so I thought something just didn't agree with him, but now DH is sick so maybe it was a virus. Trying to stay away...DNA to get sick right now.
In between we went to BRU and bought pretty much everything we need for DD. There is definitely stuff we are reusing from DS but we still needed a lot....or maybe I'm doing it wrong? I feel like everyone always says they dont need anything for Baby#2.
Saw the inlaws Sunday afternoon and then had dinner at my parents' house. Just kind of hung around today.
Side note: posted on private board for those interested in baby names. Warning I didn't make it easy.
Thanks everybody! He is Mr Modest and I think the only reason he even mentioned it is because the ceremony is scheduled for the same weekend as my (dad's) family reunion. Otherwise I probably never would have found out about it.
He's still awake, we're minutes away from the 15 hour mark. I put him to bed an hour ago. He keeps getting up, like at naptime.
Can you sit or lay with him? That might keep him in bed at least.
I'm camped out just outside his door, I'm going to take your advice and move this angry mommy party inside his room soon. We've never been co-sleepers and I've never stayed in his room until he has fallen asleep. I'm not sure what he'd think.
wedding, glad it's just a UTI, although sounds like they can be serious in older people. +1 to never knew that! Hopefully she can prevent future ones since she knows what it was.
LizInFL, missed the poof too, but congrats to your H!
mamabear13, my L puked tonight! I'm hoping it was Easter candy related and won't run through the house since I'm having a baby this week! Good luck staying healthy, too!
2 more days of work (from home, thankfully) and then it's baby time!!

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I went to work and spoke with the office manager and one of the partners. They both told me to get to my Dad so I made the 5 hour drive.
They had to sedate him and put him on the ventilator. The ventilator is because he was snoring and the oxygen wasn't doing what it should. The sedation is because after the blood clot removal he began throwing up so they were afraid he had bleeding on the brain. They did a CT scan and luckily, no bleeding, just swelling. They are hoping the sedation will help give his body time to heal and the swelling to go down. They will run another scan tomorrow to check the swelling. I'll probably be MIA for a bit. I have spotty WiFi down here.
