I'm foggy and unmotivated this morning so this is hard to even think about. Also a bit overwhelmed by stuff that needs to be done around here. Inlaws are coming Friday and we'll celebrate dd's bday on Sunday with them. Won't be a big party but party-lite and she's requested taco soup and a Mickey Mouse clubhouse cake.
Personal goals: • drink more water - I'll start with 4 big glasses as a measurement.
• 2 works out
• stay off the sugar
• eat clean/whole30 type meals
• lots of outside time with the kids
To do:
• wash towels for the downstairs bathroom
• clean & organize the guest room
• tidy the rest of the house
• get to the dollar store for some decorations
• get a gift for dd
• figure out how to make a mmch cake that isn't too insane
• normal laundry and mom survival stuffs
I guess I also have a work project to do and I need to update a website before a board meeting on Saturday.
Get the new mortgage sorted Organize house cleaners Organize car shipping Pack up DS, me and cat and go to the cottage next Sunday Organize final payments on gas, electric, Internet Call lawyer about mortgage details and notary public Keep 2 work projects on track Mail daycare receipt to the tax office
I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Stress... I haz it
-swap out some of the winter clothes for spring/summer for both girls (box up DD1's and sell/give away Eliza's) -get outside when it's warm, maybe to the park a few times -Make and freeze lasagna this weekend -try a new recipe that I found in one of our recipe books -drink more water -eat 2 healthy dinners (meat, veggie, salad) -walk on treadmill or do workout video 2x (this may be iffy, lol) -hit my step goals each day -grocery shopping
DS2 is getting molars and has some kind of stomach issue, so survival is first on my list. Other than that I need to clean and organize the house for our party on the 29th. I also need to make a high chair banner for DS2.
Welp this morning the scale kicked my butt. I've gained almost 10 pounds in about two months. I haven't even made any drastic changes. I have had some pop lately but not even one a day. Idk either way it's a slap. Back to tracking and low carbs. We got my new bicycle which was my birthday present so now we have bikes and the trailer for DD, DH said he's committed to going for rides every night. There's a quick 3 mile loop right in our neighborhood and takes 20 minutes which is perfect. - drink more water - no pop - no snacking - get birthday party details worked out - laundry - clean the house - get my closet organized - get back on track with life in general
A gallon lrmrtn??? That seems like so much. On Whole30 you're supposed to do half your weight (lbs) in ounces, and even that felt like too much, not that I really tried.

That's what the carb cycling book recommends. Obviously, you need to work up to that. I already drink 8 cups a day so it's doubling that. I'm already up to 6 cups at 1pm but I doubt I'll get to a gallon. Not only is it supposed to be good to flush your body, but it helps you feel fuller (so they say...).

It does make you feel fuller. When I used to diet drinking water when I felt hungry was one of my tricks.
Go to Hardware store and get 2 gallons of paint for hallway Wood rods for bday loot treat Metal spikes for landscape fabric Grass seed Bags of sand
Tonight patch up many cracks in stairs and hallway walls
Paint rocking chair for front porch
Clean off front porch and scrub down.
Paint porch floor again (so annoyed the paint lady argued with me and I was right and that porch paint didn't even last a full season- so many areas have scraped off)
Finish the second half of area by bushes with landscape fabric and cover with wood chips.
1. Water. Drink it. I hate it 2. Preschool tour - got postponed last week 3. Look at a new place to live 4. Call a daycare for T 5. Clean before the in laws show up 6. Sleep 7. Call STD to see where my claim stands Done: 1. Take care of the lease on our car

One gallon is 128oz. Half my body weight would be 118, so not far off. On my best day ever, I made it to 100oz. I'm sitting at about 60-70oz day right now and I think that's my happy place. I follow the 10 gulp rule - everytime I take a drink of water, I take 10 gulps (OK, smaller than gulps, but you get the idea). Water is not my thing, but I now see how much more alert and how much more energy I have when I make an effort.
It helps that DH sells fancy water bottles for a living. I always have new fun things to try out.
Susan0utLoud, any fancy water bottles better than others? I need a new one...
IMO, not really. Dh reps Nathan's so that's what I use. I like ones that fit in my cars cup holder and have a straw. I also like the double walled so they don't sweat everywhere when I put ice in them.
Susan0utLoud, I really want one that I can toss in my bag without worrying that the top flips up and it leaks. I've gotten "leak proof" bottles to leak...

I think there are quite a few Contigo believers around here. I've never had one but heard that they don't leak.

1. Go check out a gym with DH 2. Don't eat out this week 3. Read 3 chapters of a non-baby or toddler related book. The Book Thief has been sitting on my nightstand since my maternity leave with J 😳

We were supposed to have a book club discussion for that book! I read it and then no discussion! It is really good, good luck getting reading time.
