Not caffeine related but last week we went out to eat and I got a new drink that is now my favorite. It's limeade with coconut water. I got the ingredients and have been drinking it nonstop. It's been 90 degrees here all week so I needed something refreshing to alternate with water! 🍋
cutay I'm not a coffee drinker, but before I found out I was pregnant I was drinking Monster energy drinks or 5 hr energies and some days both (I know not good for me). I stopped cold turkey when I found out and had a major headache for a few days but now I have what feels like just normal first tri fatigue. I think I'm such a caffeine fiend that I have to just give it up or I'll overdo it!
I was a major monster energy drinker too but I stopped the day I found out. I missed it a lot at first but now I'm craving water so that's good!
cutay - I'm no help on cutting it out. I quit caffeine a few months ago. I still drink a pop 2-3 times a week (usually when eating fast food) but I always wake up with a small headache the next day.
When I'm feeling tired at work I try to get up and walk around.
Okay, I love that you said "pop". Where are you from? I'm from Minnesota! When we moved down south, everyone looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said pop!
I am currently looking at you like you have 5 heads...Texas girl here lol

I want caffeine so bad but I'm one of those no having while pregnant
So NBD but...I'm pretty sure I gave birth to an unicorn 🦄 Ha! DD had glitter in her poop. #momfail
Ha! That sounds pretty amazing as far as poop goes! What happened to induce the glitter filled poop?!
Speaking of unicorns, have you guys tried or heard about the unicorn frappuccino? I feel like it's been all over social media lately. I'm afraid to try it. I'm pretty sure it's cream based.

It is cream based. I think mango with sour blue something.

So much sugar I got sick looking at the pictures.
Sure looks pretty, but that's about as far as it goes I'm sure.
What progesterone are you all taking? I've been on Crinone and while it isn't too fun it hasn't been as bad as what others have described.
I'm super late to this, but I'm taking 200mg of prometrium before bed at night vaginally. The office warned me that it would be red, but thankfully I got a yellowy-white generic version so I'm not freaked out every morning.
I was on crinone (sp?) when I was pregnant with DS. TMI, that stuff came out of me all gross several days later.. No idea if that's normal.
notelsie - I do both - 200 mg in the AM and 400 mg in the PM.
rooskie - I'm on compounded suppositories. You go to a special pharmacy and they make them up. It's a little torpedo-shaped suppository, and as Waffles said, it feels totally gross as it melts and leaks out. I end up using a pad AND a folded paper towel that I then toss after it's melted. They make my skin super irritated too. But they worked with my daughter, and hopefully will work with this pregnancy too!
That sucks you have to do them in the AM too. I hate the suppositories but only do them at night. They irritate down there and leak and generally are just gross. Even if I had a sex drive, this would make it a hard stop. The nurse said I could stop today since my insurance won't cover them....then my dr said no, to continue given my history. Boo. Just had to commiserate.

Sorry guys, told you I'd be the weirdo early morning poster. This insomnia is no joke! Between working night shift and this new little person, I can't sleep. Thankful for Greys Anatomy on DVR currently.
Anyway! All this progesterone talk got me thinking. After my loss they checked my progesterone which was low, but at that point I had already lost the baby, so I wonder how accurate it was? When I got pregnant with my daughter, they checked my progesterone at around 6 weeks when I went in for my first appointment. Everything was fine obviously and we never mentioned it again. I mentioned this to the scheduler when I made my first appointment and she said the doctor would decide what labs need to happen when I see her. I'm just wondering, say that it was low when they check it next week, is it "too late" or would that actually be helpful at that point? Should I have pushed harder for a lab draw? I keep second guessing myself.
I'm thinking your progesterone was probably low because the pregnancy had already stopped? I really don't know what the standards are for blood draws etc.
Glad to see another "early" poster btw, with the time difference I'll be the weird one that answers all the afternoon & evening posts in the morning
Another insomniac here! cutay I would definitely ask the Dr about it next week if it will help calm your anxieties. I honestly can't remember if that is a standard first tri lab to order. It can't hurt to address it though.
My bladder keeps waking me up tonight! I know I'm going to be exhausted today. 😞😴
cutay - I think earlier the better for progesterone IF you have a progesterone issue. It's commonly prescribed for RPL patients as part of the protocol.
If you've never had short luteal phases (12 days or less) I wouldn't worry about it. We knew mine was an issue not just from measuring it with my chemical, but because I routinely would get my period only 10 days after ovulating, and my temperatures would start to fall by day 6/7 after ovulation. Also the nurse at my then-regular office said that she thought the progesterone with my chemical was low because the pregnancy wasn't viable - not that the pregnancy wasn't viable because it was low. I'm still not sure I believe her based on the other issues - but I think in non-RPL patients, that would be the case.
My only successful pregnancy I was on progesterone supplements.

I'm catching up from a busy day yesterday...
cutay I just embrace coffee. I keep it between 1-2 cups a day. I don't drink soda or anything else with caffeine so I'm not concerned. It's actually surprising that I can even tolerate coffee, I couldn't tolerate the smell/taste with my other pg's.
The bloat is real tonight. I look 6 months not 6w. 😫
Me too, me too! I was feeling a little self-satisfied until a few says ago that I was less bloated than in previous pregnancies. Well, that's definitely not the case anymore! Big shirts for the win.
began TTC 2009 N&A, our b/g twins born and lost 3/7/12 at 20 weeks due to PPROM N (girl), 6/26/13 E&A (b/g twins), 4/5/15 BFP 3/27/17, EDD 12/3/17 IVF veteran with multiple losses - feel free to ask me about it.
I am so over progesterone suppositories. I was running late and had to walk to the train (one car family, husband usually drives me on his way to drop L at daycare). My suppository has definitely almost come out and is now uncomfortably/painfully positioned and I can't fix it (or whatever is left of it) for 30 minutes until I get into the office. Womp womp.
@officedronette, uncomfortably positioned (like half out) when you're in a public place is the worst! I hate that!

I'm starting prometrium oral tabs tonight but using vaginally. I've been doing estrace that way and the discharge isn't too bad. These prometrium are much bigger. Should I be planning a panty liner for the next / weeks? I'm assuming it won't be much more than normal CM type/amount leakage but I could be 100% wrong. I'll need to go buy liners if I'm gonna be gooey!
Edit: omg. I just realized this isn't 3T. FML. I searched prometrium on the site and this thread popped up. So sorry!!
Don't be sorry I use panty liners in the morning since I take it before bed.

To answer your question: yes, you definitely want to use panty liners. Also, if it's the red pill (there is a red one and a yellow one) don't be surprised when it looks like you're spotting. It's a mind fuck, but it's just the dye.
