DD has been a handful off and on the last 24 hours. From 6:30 on last night she could not be soothed - when that happens I usually wrangle her into the wrap through a battle of the wills, and then walk very aggressively. And that ultimately worked. Then at bedtime 90 min later she ate and went in her crib without a peep. This morning has been a bit more of the same. She napped while I showered, which was a win. But pre-shower I was trying to nurse and pump and she decided to make that difficult task even harder with maximum fuss levels.
Today is the most Mondayest Tuesday ever. Between lack of sleep with P being up mostly every three hours if not more fussing and having gas. On top of it he was super congested and I had to use the nose Frida several times than not to mention currently H told me that my DD was missing me terribly this morning on the way to daycare and she said that she missed mom so much and she loves me so much which made me cry of course 😔.
Had my 6 week appointment. Officially back on birth control. H is super stoked that we *might* have sex soon. I don't think we've done it since before third tri.
C had a poop incident in his car seat while at the doctor. So that was fun.
mikaela20, I did about a teaspoon because I wasn't sure how much was necessary to have an effect, I should have researched more, I didn't even taste a teaspoon worth lol. Man brewers yeast stinks.
Is my baby the only one still getting up every 2 hours at night?! 😫 Also, our fridge is broken!
No, not alone. My baby's longest stretch of sleep to date is 3 hours, and that's rare. I think he might sleep forever if he was held, but when he's put in the bassinet or rock n play he doesn't make it more than 2 hours usually
moutonrouge I love those! And am buying a few pairs.
renegadewhit does C have a cold? Regardless, I hope he is feeling better today!
. I wouldn't even think about going, and I wouldn't feel bad not going. I'd probably send a cutesy gift and card that weekend saying I was "sad to miss it." Also- what exactly does one do at a baby wearing meeting?
I just ordered the otteroo. If you dont know what this is, google the videos. It's topped puppies for me on the cuteness scale.
Do babies get too warm in their carriers? DD is sleeping soundly in her ergo baby, and I'm getting a lot done around the house, but the body heat is warming me up and I'm afraid she's too hot. I'm always hot though, so I don't know. Does anyone else worry about this every time their kid is in the carrier??
Baby colds are the worst. I was up all night nursing DD. DH tried to give me a break by taking DS to a play place but DD has been fussing or eating the whole time they've been gone so it didn't really work. I'm so tired.
glb30 I get really worried about his breathing and temperature when in the carrier- I think I'll feel more confident when he's a little bigger. Right now he's such a sack of potatoes and no matter how hard I try his chin always seems to get tucked to his chest which is a no-no.
I had a strong cup of tea this morning. We are doing pretty good with sleep overall, but I was getting spoiled with one wake up a night and now we are back to two. I haven't adjusted to going to sleep earlier again and I'm paying for it.
We have been on the wait list for speech therapy for DD for almost 6 weeks now. We got referred at her two year appointment. I know she's behind her peers, but I don't know how far. I am hoping we could get an eval to find out. I should also probably just ask them at day care, but I haven't yet. I know everything will be ok, but I've been spiraling on it a bit today.
It depends. Some drop naps at 3. Others not until 4 or if you're so lucky 5. My kid keeps going back and forth with the naps and she will be 3 next month

DS1 did speech therapy from 16-22 months. I was really anxious about it but it ended up being a really good experience and he quickly caught up. I know it can be stressful but hopefully it will be a positive experience for both of you. (((Hugs)))
Speaking of baby colds... I am having a really hard time telling T has normal baby congestion or a cold. He was so snotty after birth, then calmed down, now it's back and this time with actual snot. It's really bad at night and he snores because of it. I just have no idea. I don't remember this at all from Clara

Does he sleepy flat? My DS was like this so he slept at an angle for forever. Until he could roll and started sleeping on his tummy, he was snotty and snored.

F has the same issue. I actually called the pedi about it and they told me it could allergies or a cold, but unless it got worse or he has a fever, there is nothing to do but suction and use a humidifier. I think in our case it's been a series of colds. DS1 brings home every preschool cold possible, plus we're out and about a lot more this time. But it's definitely a pain, especially at night!
