We had a MUCH better night last night!! Babies slept in their cribs the whole night, which I think was better for everyone. They had two wake ups to eat but they sucked their bottles down record fast and went back to sleep. E had a little trouble going down at first. She started her usual crying for paci routine. I sucked it up a did a very modified CIO. She was fed, changed, swaddled...all she wanted was to be picked up or have her paci. So I sat in the room and let her cry for 3 minutes then put her paci in, waited, paci fell out, let her cry 5 minutes and replaced paci, waited, paci fell out, let her cry 3 minutes and she calmed herself and went to sleep and she slept the rest of the night (besides wake ups to eat) without a peep.
I know people hate CIO but something had to be done. I can't hold her all night and be a good mother to her. She was safe, wasn't over upsetting herself, and we all may have slept better because of it.

I got fabric to make curtains for the girls room yesterday. I'm hoping we get some good naps today so I can get started on that. The fabric doesn't match the quilts I made tho. But it was on sale. And I figure by the time they're old enough to actually use the quilts I made I can just make new ones.
Well H accidentally woke the baby up at 5 this morning. Baby ate a small breakfast but was basically a grump. Crashed at 6 which is a bummer. Now at almost 9 he's still sleeping. 🙈 Today will be interesting haha
The "plus" side is his naps have been all over the place lately soooo 🤷🏻♀️

MH is a contractor. The wife at the house he is working at today is 1 day past her due date. That would certainly be an interesting day if she went into labor!

Fun fact we had a plumber here installing a new sink when my water started leaking. 😂
mustloveerica - I'm glad things went better last night! And I love that fabric! Maybe if you have too much you could make some matching pillows or something?
This morning FS2 officially learned to climb out of his crib! I am not ready for this! He's only 20 months old, and I was really hoping for another 6 months or so in the crib. Probably time to start shopping for a big boy bed. I also found some ideas online about how to keep him safe in the crib if we wanted to keep him in there a little longer.
Eep! ceejay, I hope you can figure something out soon! Is he tall? I'm just imagining my niece and 20 months seems so little! But she's a peanut, so yeah.

About to take M out for her first restaurant experience. It's a nicer diner at the end of my parents road. All through middle and high school I'd walk there with my friends. The owner is my neighbor and friend and we'd go out drinking and then walk to the restaurant at night and make whatever we wanted.
It's pretty fitting that this will be her first restaurant.

No, he's actually always been short for his age (I think he's in the 20-25th percentile now).... so I figured we still had months to go before this would be a problem!
He's just really strong and flexible and figured out how to swing his leg over the side and pull himself up from there.
Ridley's been doing this thing lately where (while sitting in your lap on the couch) she'll hold your hands and slide off so she's standing and just take off walking so you have to hurry and jump up (I always sit cross legged because I'm so short, so not easy) to follow her.
Anyways, she wakes up from her nap super groggy and I figured it would take her a few to really wake up, but she immediately slides to the floor and takes off. We speed walked to the bedroom ...so she could look for h. 😒
Well, sort of. I need to find a better recipe. The one I used tasted too much like pancakes. Plus I didn't have any fruit to top it with, so how good could it be, really?
