This check-in is for those of us who are or will be trying for a sibling.
Age of LO(s): 3.75 and 22 months
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: CD5
RRCS: not much. I've been much more relaxed so far this month.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? H is a teacher and we live in a small town where we know everyone so it's hard picking names! DS we just got lucky and last minute found a name we both liked. His middle name is our dad's first names. I came up with DD's while driving in a nearby city and passing a fairly used street that I drive by or on often and for some reason the street sign resonated with me and I realized how much I liked the name. She shares a middle name with my late grandma.
RRCS: Meh. I have a feeling this cycle is going to be a bust, which is really disappointing. My CBE OPK gave me an open circle yesterday then switched right to Peak today and I had a temp surge this morning. I guess my cycles are shifting?
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? DD's name was just always one of my favorites growing up, and her middle name was chosen because it's the feminine version of her grandpa's name and her dad's middle name.
The future kiddos names have been chosen already. They'll share the same first two initials with DD (different last name, I'm getting remarried in 2 weeks). The girl name we chose comes from a show we both like, and her middle name from and a character in the first movie we saw together. The boy name also comes from a character on a show we both like, and the middle name would be in honor of my STBH's uncle who passed away when he was a child.
Also, our whole family will have the same first initial (and funny enough, my first name is the feminine version of STBH's name). I think that's a nice way to tie us together as a blended family.
RRCS: Just waiting to O and hoping that the plague will leave my house soon. DD got sick last week, gave it to me, then DH, and now I think mine has gotten worse.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? I don't have a story on DD's first name...I just really liked it and told DH that was her name. He liked it and agreed. Unfortunately, things were harder with her middle name. I wanted a short name since her first name and our last name are long. DH didn't like any of the names I came up with. Finally, I decided to poll my coworkers asking them what their middle names were and gave told DH. He liked one and it sounded ok, so that is what stuck.
RRCS: I've been having cramping which I used to think was a positive sign but last month led to AF so I don't have high hopes for this month. RE's office called today and I O'ed which is good. If this month isn't successful, they want to do a follicle study, trigger shot and IUI next month.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? My daughter's first name is after a singer DH likes and her middle name is after DH's aunt that passed away the month before we found out we were pregnant.

RRCS: So I'm officially here now which is crazy to me. Not temping so I will be completely guessing on ovulation using secondary signs. Will try that for a few cycles before going down the temping road again. I used to ovulate around CD 8-10 and have 25 day cycles so we shall see if it seems to be that again. I plan to test at towards the end of next week.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s). I've got nothing. I just liked it and it was the only name H and I agreed on.
Sorry for the bfn sammysam, sarahh, great news that you O'ed. Wishing you the best of luck next month with your tests and procedures. emmaswan, I hope you are wrong and this cycle isn't a bust. Good luck lady!
Hi ladies! I am new to this board but we will be trying NEXT cycle. Eek! I am not a very active poster, but when I do, I hang out on WP.
Age of LO(s): DD turned two last week
Month/Cycle: starting next month!
CD/DPO: 10
RRCS: I have a question. DH and I planned a romantic 6-day trip that will likely fall over my fertile window for our first cycle of TFAS. Is it okay to drink a glass or two of wine and/or a mixed drink each day of the trip? Would you be comfortable with this?
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? DH thought it was a beautiful name ever since he was a teenager. I immediately loved it as well. We were a little bummed that the popularity of the name exploded the past few years because we had it picked out like ten years ago.

Age of LO(s): DS is 19 months
Month/Cycle: 8/8
CD/DPO: CD16
RRCS: The plan was to have all the sex this cycle but we were OOT for Easter weekend and we just couldn't make it happen, temping was also tough - oh well.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? We were watching Crazy Stupid Love and H heard the name and really liked it, we had moved out of state once I was pregnant with DS and the nickname for his name is short of California (our home state) so it all came together

beachbum, definitely drink til it's pink! You're gonna be on vacation, enjoy it however you want! My only reason not to get too drunk while TTC is because it makes me dehydrated and, therefore, cuts down on useful CM.
RRCS: H just started on antibiotics - which I've read can mess with sperm count. Anyone have any info/insight on this? It's only cycle 1 so I'm not too concerned but just wondering...
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? His first name is from my paternal grandfather and his middle name is Hs maternal grandfather.

Age of LO(s): DS1 is 3 1/2 and DS2 is nearly 2
Month/Cycle: 2/2 AL
CD/DPO: 12/0
RRCS: I stopped temping this cycle due to the infection and meds. It screwed up my chart.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? DS2's middle name is after my step-grandfather who I was close to and passed away when I was in my late teens. DS1's middle name was picked out by my mom because when he was born he didn't look like the middle name we had originally picked with his first name.

Age of LO(s): 4, 2, 16 months
Month/Cycle: 10/10
CD/DPO: 14
RRCS: Our house is dealing with a stomach bug that I apparently gave to everyone. I thought I'd just eaten something bad but now everyone is sick. Ugh. It also seems like I'm headed toward another late for me O. I also went in to chat with my OB and we're going to do a couple tests to make sure everything is working properly so I feel proactive at least.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? Their first names are just names we like. DD1's middle name is her great great grandmother's name, DS's middle name was also three other family member's middle name, and DD2's middle name is my great grandmother's name. I think I got that right lol. Great looks really stupid when you've typed it that many times....
beachbum I say drink till it's pink. I personally wouldn't get wasted, but you don't immediately share a blood supply with baby so that isn't a concern. More of what PP said, it might mess with your body a bit if you're going to be ovulating.
obscurereference glad you're being proactive with your OB. I'd be the same way, feel like at least I was doing something.

Age of LO(s): 3 and almost 1
Month/Cycle:1
CD/DPO:17
RRCS: We moved recently and I'm really missing my friends.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? DS1 was named with a name we were reserving for a possible later child because we were surprised by his blonde hair and the others didn't seem to fit. His middle name is the same as H's. DS2's are just names we like. All names are Biblical which was our way of trying to honor God and will be the pattern, so to speak, in all our name choices. We're going to be using my grandmother's name if we have a girl. And since H got his first choice for DS2 I'm really hoping to use my first choice if we have a boy.
beachbum, I'd be having alllll the drinks! I got very, very drunk the night before I got a BFP with DD. To be fair I thought I was out, but meh. No regrets.
RRCS: I'm in AF hell, ugh. And I have an ob/gyn appointment tomorrow. I asked them if I should reschedule but they said no so that should be fun.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? We chose an M name for DD since my grandmother was an M. Her middle name wasn't decided until after she was born. It was a name DH loved but I wouldn't use it as a first name since it's too popular for my taste.
We start TTC in June, so I'm going to start temping and so on after my vacation ends this week to get into the habit.
Age of LO(s): 10 months
Month/Cycle: 0/0
CD/DPO: 16/?
RRCS: I got my new, non-expired wondofos in the mail today. Took a pregnancy test because I missed some BCPs last month while traveling and DH and I didn't bother being careful because we'll be TTC so soon anyway. I knew the chances were basically zero, but I was a tiny bit disappointed when it was an unambiguous negative.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)?
I wanted something classic but not overly common. I'm a teacher so I get the same names over and over. It isn't so much negative associations as hearing names so often they start to feel boring even if I like them. It also happens to be a literary name and I'm an English teacher, but that was a happy coincidence. His middle name belonged to grandfathers on both sides and is DH's middle name. If we have another boy we are in trouble, it took us FOREVER to pick a name. A girl would be easy, we had plenty of those.
RRCS: my goal is to not stress out this cycle but we all know how hard that is. I'm already starting to get some fertile cm so I think I'm going to ovulate earlier this month which is nice. I didn't until cd16 last month which is out of the norm for me. Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with tempting? I have an alarm set now because DD has had such inconsistent wake up times lately. I just feel like it stresses me out! P
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s
DDs middle name is my grandmothers name and her first name is just one we actually both agreed on.
dancerness, re:temping, yes! DS was up at 4:30 this morning, so by the time I got him back to sleep I didn't crawl back into bed until 5:40. I went ahead and took my temp, since I would be taking it 45 minutes later. I figured it would be off since I had been up moving around, but still registered at 96.63, so I logged it and set my alarm for later.
I temp whenever DD wakes me up or I wake up. Normally it's around 6:30 but if one of us is having a rough night and it's way early, if I've had 4 hours of sleep before I just temp then. My charts aren't always the prettiest but I've never had an issue pinpointing O.
RRCS: We finally made the decision that we are going for #3, so I started taking PNVs and re-downloaded FF. I'm only half ass charting to see where my cycle is. We will get serious in June.
GTKY: Is there a story or meaning behind your other kid(s) name(s)? Names we like that have some family significance.
