Just water. Just feed the babe and waiting before I can try to put him back to bed.
I have been have the occasional 1/2 glass of wine or beer. I try to time it for just after pumping.
I can add a tmi. Seems like nipple stimulation (nursing/pumping) with coffee are the perfect combination for a speedy and urgent poop. And both are equally bad timing!
Just sitting here with a sleeping babe. I'm not convinced he will stay sleeping upon transfer to the rock n play.
I have a water bottle but have also been enjoying a finger or two of wine/beer the past couple days. I completely abstained while pregnant so it feels like a real treat!
erinshelley21 How's your butt? I've been thinking of you. Here's hoping lack of updates means it is gone. Sorry if I missed an update.
My butt issues are gone! The cyst went away about the time the allergic reaction happened so it was good timing. Thank you for being concerned about my ass!

Water for now. Ice cold water, thank you yeti! If water isn't cold I will not drink it. I did have a glass of wine before bed. It was yummy.
MIL said she can keep ds during my appt. I told her what was going on and she checked on me tonight to see if I needed help with both kids since Dh is at work. She's seriously the best.

mikaela20 drink it while you're pumping. I drank a glass when I pumped before bed when ds was a baby. Will do the same this if I have to pump before bed with this one.

I've had a glass of wine most nights lately. I got the ingredients for my favorite drink, a French 75, and made one the other day. Then I drank all the prosecco by itself so I need to buy more.
DD didn't sleep so well last night. I blame myself for not dressing her warm enough initially, and for not changing her diaper at the first wakeup which would've avoided the second.
I have a rash between my boobs. It might be a heat rash that is now irritated by DD laying and scratching there. It itches.

I'm up. I either didn't set my alarm or I turned it off in my sleep. Now I'm juggling getting all 3 of us ready vs me being ready and just dealing with the kids. I'm hoping I just forgot to set it because work will be a struggle if I turned it off in my sleep.

The baby gave me her first 5 hour stretch last night! Followed by a three hour stretch. Huzzah!
I had been having a half glass of sauv blanc most nights and it was lovely. Unfortunately, I'm taking an antibiotic right now that doesn't play nicely with alcohol, so only water for the next week.
We took DD out recently to a restaurant on a Saturday night. We got 2 rounds of drinks from "anonymous admirers." I drink all the water and coffee. And Red Bull- having one now.
Last night sort of sucked. DD ate a ton between 9 pm and 12 pm. After, I let the dog out and it seemed like he was having trouble peeing. So I googled, and that scared me, so I took him to the 24 emergency vet. 700 dollars later, and he is physically fine, but may be a little depressed! So, I got no sleep, spent 700 dollars and have a sad dog. 😞
This AM, I am taking DD to the court house to watch my boss's closing arguments in a trial. This is the only place I've ever taken her that I'm nervous about. I keep thinking "I won't go," but I really want to watch and have no one to watch her.
And H can't get downtown to work bc the train hit a pedestrian. Now he is stuck wasting sick time bc the train tracks won't be running for at least 4 hours.
Some of the people on your H's line, ventured over to our line and then a train broke down. 😂And there is an accident on 290.
My H has six court appearances downtown, so he is driving downtown on side streets while I call the judge's clerks asking them to hold the calls.
Did I mention I'm having a fun morning? DD has already had a bath, too. She woke up with her hair covered in spit-up.
Finally changed my sig so my ticker doesn't say I'm 43 weeks pregnant.
Tracked my sleep last night because I was curious... from 8pm - 8am I slept a TOTAL of 8.25 hours, in small increments as such: 1 hour 2.5 hours 1 hour 1.25 hours .5 hours 2 hours
glb30 ugh I'm so sorry about your pup. I've been there (taking him in to the vet and spending boat loads to find out he's fine). Better to be safe though.
I hope you get a nice long stretch soon mosdub. Have you started pumping/bottle feeding yet? I'm wondering if your DH could take a shift for you. It's really hard to survive on so little sleep.
I realized I'm (temporarily) sick of my H. He has been home since A was born 4/2 and doesn't go back to work until 4/27. The help has been great, I definitely appreciate it, and I thought I was just annoyed w/ my toddler but I just got 20 mins at home with just the baby and I was immediately more relaxed. We are used to not spending a ton of time together, and 4 weeks straight is a whole lot of time together. He's going away for the night Saturday and while I'm nervous to deal w/ both kids alone (nap and bed time have been MISERABLE with dd1 lately), I'm looking forward to the alone time w/ just a newborn once dd1 is asleep. I also think I'm going to start taking the baby places and let him handle the toddler by himself occasionally.
caer, I'm dealing with oversupply and forceful letdown, so I'm being advised not to pump because it will make the problem worse... but I might start slowly (pump every other day one time) and introduce bottles slowly too.

Maybe you could get one of those silicone suction pumps that doesn't actually pump but just kind of gathers the leaking breast milk from the breast you're not pumping. I don't have experience with them yet but I've heard really great things about them. Some women get as much as 2 ounces from the boob they're not feeding on.

I've had at least a beer or a glass of wine nearly every evening since being unpregnant. I had a martini the other night and it was the best.
Apparently I'm in the minority to not worry about this? It's not like I'm getting even tipsy (martini night, probably tipsy.) - but a half glass of wine is just a tease. Why bother? I'd much rather nurse a real drink, if I'm partaking.
