rachydc, the worst part is I don't even want it for myself (or they'd be gone). It's amazing but it's pure butter and I'm trying to be healthy. I just don't want THEM to have it.
cornpop311, I'd put a sign on it saying hands off my baklava and my thermostat! But I would probably steal the baklava even if I didn't work in your department!
So there's a situation at day care. One of the teacher's in Z's room was caught taking a pic of my Z and the other children and put it on her Snapchat. The director called and said she was diffusing the situation but I'm more than annoyed.

What does that mean, diffusing the situation? I would be pissed.
kristhegirl, right now all that's happening is that the teacher has to delete any inappropriate pics from her phone and she will likely go on some kind of improvement plan. This will be interesting cause in the 3.5 years we've been with this place, teachers have been fired on the spot for less incriminating stuff. I think it's tricky cause her daughter is enrolled.

That should not matter. That's a pretty big privacy concern. Like, my phone auto backs up to the cloud, so all my pictures are online even if I delete them from my phone. I hope they follow up with that kind of thing. How hard is it to just not take pictures?! Let alone posting pictures of someone else's kids, nonono.
sorry @swarley. My SIL's ex used to work at a daycare and would post pics all of the time on her instagram. I politely told her one day that I would be furious if a child care provider did that with my kids. She just didn't get it. She kept posting them anyways. I don't know if she still does or not because I deleted her. She is annoying AF in general.
The awards ceremony was pretty good. They fed us, which I didn't expect, but it was a nice surprise. I cried and a lady at our table made me take the centerpiece because "I deserved it." LOL. We also sold some gym equipment in our basement and made a few hundred bucks. Does anyone need a sauna? That is the last thing we need to get rid of!
swarley - our daycare has us sign a thing about allowing our kids' pictures on their FB page. I'd be so upset to find out someone was posting to their personal snapchat like that. One of DS1's best friends was in foster care and adopted by her biological grandmother. She doesn't allow anyone to publicly post any pictures. I can only imagine what she would say if that was her daughter. Crazy.
@wafflesfriendswork - I've never colored my hair and am finding greys all over the place. Even the girls at school comment when they braid my hair. For now, I just pull the crazy short ones that stick out. I don't want to spend money either and am afraid it wouldn't look good on me.
This week has been about 5 years too long and next week will be worse. DH asked if he could go 2 hours away to hog hunt Sunday. Um no. How about family time so momma doesn't lose her mind? Guess I need to find fun things to keep the boys happy.
Interestingly DH isn't as mad as I am but still pissed nonetheless. We're actually questioning why she was on her phone instead of providing supervision.
In other news, A went back to the potty training clinic and the nurse affirmed everything we already know about him- she said he might be one of the most funny but most stubborn kids she's ever interacted with.
Are any LOs starting to get interested in DUPLO and able to play with them functionally, independently? Rosie got $50 to Toys R Us for easter and I was thinking about getting her some duplos.

I don't know how similar they are size-wise, but we have the mega bloks bag and it is a favorite here currently. She loves to build towers and can do the pieces by herself (and prefers if I don't touch, thank you very much).
mnj05 - my hairdresser told me not to pluck but to cut it close to the root if I couldn't stand it. I have thinning hair as well, so he was concerned about me traumatizing the root so much that those hairs give up, which I can't afford.
I also desperately need my hair colored. It usually has good results for 6-8 weeks. It's been 3 months. But I feel weird coloring in first tri.
yelah250 - another megablocks user. She loves them - though not as much as the Magna (Picasso) Tiles.

@feegan that's not lame at all!!! Yard work is good for the soul plus freshly mulched beds look/smell amazing. And putting in some extra effort on the house can help build goodwill with your landlords, which could come in handy if at some point if you need wiggle room on something.
yelah250 go for it! T loves building towers with his megabloks, they'll keep him occupied for a good long while.
@officedronette - I've heard not to pluck but I've got so much hair that thinning isn't a concern...at least for now. I should start cutting them though.
