starbuck27 yay babies!! hangry I'm glad E got a good nap finally! Hopefully that's just what she needs to get back on track.
God these babies are all getting big so fast. This is going soooo much faster than it did with DS. I just got done nursing D to sleep and all I can think is how I could do this forever. I know there's so much to look forward to as she grows up but she's so wonderful and perfect as a baby too. I just want to bottle up these moments and keep them with me always.

dashook I can't believe we're approaching 6 months. It doesn't seem like he's been here for that long but at the same time I can't remember how it was without him either. It is so fast and he's getting so big. I still get sad buying clothes and seeing how small he used to be. And just tonight I was feeding him and he hardly fits between the arms on the glider anymore. Slow down time!

Reporting in late...Big milestone over here - first ear infection! She went big and has one red and one pink, so basically a double. I'm just thankful it's not a virus so I feel okay taking her to the wedding. I can't wait to see her outfit with coordinating ear muffs on.
Otherwise today was a shitshow, but I did get a real workout in for the first time in 2 months, so that was nice.
So Merlin is back in business. J just slept 7-10 and it was nice because I got to watch some shows and ya know, eat a hot dinner. I was really hoping to transition out of the Merlin so in a way I feel like we are moving backwards. I want to move into a normal sleep sack but fear sleep will suck once again.
If it makes you feel any better, we're still in a full swaddle over here. I'd actually love to get her out of the swaddle and into the Merlin! But she claws her face and wakes herself up constantly in it, so I similarly am terrified to do anything that will make sleep super shitty. But she is going to be rolling for real for real soon so I need to do something.
Ugh. I never had this issue with DS because he was sleeping on his tummy (or on me) by this age.
I haven't but I might. She'd have to be really deeply asleep for it to work I think.
Alec has loved being on his tummy since early on (although I only allowed it during day naps) but Adeline hated it.. Until about 3-4 nights ago. I tried every other position in bed with her but she kept whining and wasn't comfortable. Finally tummy was the only thing I hadn't tried (bc she normally HATES it) but I tried it and rubbed her back and she was sooooo content! She doesn't stay that way the whole night but maybe 3 hours the past few nights. If she doesn't like it right now I'd try again.
She's also loving sleeping on her side now waitwhat and dashook so maybe try that? She rolls herself and I just help reposition her a little
I'm sure he would love side and tummy sleeping but he doesn't know how to get back to his tummy once on his back yet (he's super close though) so I fear he will get stuck and cry throughout the night!
