Also, you guys are cracking me up in here with the grocery confessions. This one is like 10 years old, but I once stole a case of beer because it was on the bottom of my cart and I forgot about it. But then I still didn't remember it when I got out to my car and pushed it into the cart return and left. And then remembered on my way home, turned around and went back, found it in the cart return and took it home.
I really need to take the labels of the tomatoes! Maybe MH wouldn't freak! (I forgot to look at what kind I am grabbing and just grab the best looking ones)

i stole an entire pack of costco loo roll once becuase it was under the cart. I realized half way across the parking lot but costco has 2 people working the checkout plus the ticket checker on the way out so that's on them not seeing eleventy million loo rolls.
I feel like places like the gas station you need to give a pass on leaving the kids in the car for a minute. You usually have good visibility and it's so quick that to take the kids out of the car for that is such a hassle.
Sometimes whilst shopping I will notice that something small has fallen into the crack between the upper part of the cart where the kids sit and the lower part. For example, in those thick Target red carts it makes things really hard to see. Sometimes I just leave the item there. Haven't done that in awhile though.

Just don't leave the key in the car and unlocked. There was a local story of a guy stealing a running car at a gas station and he had a big "holy shit" moment when he realized he stole a kid with it. He dropped car and kid quick. They were found and safe.
Here's a flame worthy one from MH. He left the kids in the car when he went into the gas station to buy himself a snack last week. Much mom rage when he told me.
You can't do this? I did it this week. Windows slightly down, in the shade, locked car- got DS1 a popsicle.

I mean, he ordered a slice of pizza from the in store cafe. It woud have taken a few minutes and he wouldn't have been able to see them. He thought I should leave DD2 in the car when I take DD1 in to potty.
Kind of a lame one but I'm second guessing going to Italy for work. I would go May or June and I was so excited about it until I started thinking about my boys, especially DS2. He'll be 1 at the end of June and I'm still nursing and would like to continue.
It isn't going to be a short trip, probably a week with all the travel. I kind of have to go as I am the project lead. Also this opportunity rarely presents itself. But I have conflicting feelings about it. I feel guilty.
When DD1 was one, I went to college for work for 15 weeks. I got home at weekends but the rest was residential. It was hell. When I was home, she would scream hysterically even if I went to the toilet because she thought I was leaving again.
But - whilst it was the hardest thing I ever did, I did not and still don't feel guilty. It allowed me to provide her with a better life. She can see now that it's important to work hard and to sometimes do things for yourself and your own development.

I stole 4ish lbs of apples from the store once. They were in the seat part of my shopping cart, and I had taken off my cost while shopping and put it on top, and totally forgot about them. I didn't realize it till I was right at the door and was putting my coat back on. I didn't go back and pay because it was the the day before thanksgiving and it was a nut house.
I had a cashier ring up the price for 1 fig and not the whole bag becuase he didn't know what they were. I did not correct him and rejoiced in my $1.50 for 5 figs
I'm putting one on the private board and deleting it.

Since we're sharing grocery store confessions today... I did the groceries today. When I was loading them into the car, almost the last bag in the cart had bacon, brats, and pork chops. I didn't buy this. It was obviously the person that paid before me. I had already loaded DS in the car seat and wasn't about to unload him to run back in. So I got some free meats today. I feel bad someone else paid for it. I wouldn't feel as bad if it had been the stores fault (it kinda is that the bag girl didn't put it in the right cart).
