babydsmama, I'm sorry you're in a similar spot. It's so hard to share news that is happy for you, but that you know will make someone close to you feel sad/upset/jealous.
cutay, you're right. If I wait too long, she's going to ask why I didn't say something sooner. She knows that we're trying, so it's probably only a matter of time before she asks. I'll figure this out. There's really no good time.
Also, HARD pass on Brazilian ever again, let alone while pregnant. Nope nope nope. My skin is far too sensitive for that.
rooskie, mrscatfarmer13, thanks for the good reminders on how to share in a sensitive way.
I'm a big chicken and have yet to give myself a single injection. I almost did it this morning but ended up calling H to the rescue.
I have immunity for toxoplasmosis so the only changes I'm making are limiting caffeine to that one cup of coffee, staying away from unpasteurised cheese and not having any alcohol (though I intend to have wine occasionally). Oh yeah, also limited consumption of high mercury fish!

How does one get/know if they have immunity to toxoplasmosis?

By blood test. My ob checks a whole bunch of immunities prior to ttc.
ETA: forgot to say I have no idea how I got it but I tested positive for it as a teenager when they were checking me for glandular fever (which I did have).
