R didn't wake up to play at all last night! She still woke up to eat a few times, and now at 5 she won't sleep unless I'm holding her, but the no playing in the middle of the night thing is pretty awesome.
Also, if you have a hard time clipping her nails, you can try biting them. If you just bite the edge they rip the rest of the way really easily. At least for the first 6 months or so until the nail starts getting tougher. I never used clippers on R because she wiggled so much. I waited until she fell asleep on my boob and bit them off the hand that was available.

H thinks I'm gross for biting her nails.
I've done the same thing with M. Not gross - necessary.
M woke up after about 2 hours on me ready for more food. Now I'm hungry but she seems to be falling back asleep
Can you text your h and tell him to bring you food?
He's tearing out our sliding glass door right now. I'm hiding upstairs. I'm thinking of showering (didn't do that yesterday) and going to DD for a white cheddar bagel twist and coffee.

J was so awful I'd trim/nibble 1-2 nails at a time before he freaked. So it would take me all day LOL

I want a fancy coffee so bad today. I'm hoping once R and H wake up I can convince H to take me to get one. Though I'm not getting my hopes up. Lol
FFSC: I've still never used the clippers on her. I always let Blake do it. Her fingernails I'll bite (they don't tear anymore, but when I'm desperate I'll still bite them) and if her toenails get too long I just put socks on her so she doesn't scratch me until H can cut them. Lol.

Scissors are so much less scary than clippers!
I'm not so much scared, as lazy. Lol. Like, she wiggles SO MUCH. It's just not worth it when I can get h to do it for me.

Makes sense. My H caught a bit of skin in the nail clipper when my kid was 4 months and I am basically traumatized for life :-)
I'm excited to use those scissors you recommended. But her nails really haven't separated a lot from the skin so I feel like I'm better off biting right now.

H got her thumb really good a couple months ago. But meh. It happens.
Thank god kids are resilient. I'm just waiting for the day to come where we do something to hurt her. The dog wacked her in the head with his tail last Sunday, thankfully she cried for .2 seconds and I kissed it and made it better.

When she was about a month old h was holding her at his computer and she was looking around. All of a sudden she just tried her whole body to the side and totally topples out of his arms. I picked her up and nursed her and she was happy in no time. Then at about 4-5 months? (she was barely rolling) h was letting her hang out on the couch and she rolled off. Then about a week ago I was letting her sit in the couch as I stood in front of her so she wouldn't fall off. She got on her knees and leaned against the pillow on the arm of the couch and it slipped and she went head first over the side. Then this week h was playing with her in a cardboard box and she was standing there playing with the flap and leaned over too far and toppled onto her head. I actually have a video of that one. Lol.
I'm pretty sure that's all the times we've let her hurt herself.

This is still how I keep R's nails trim at 7 months old. So much easier than trying to clip them.

FFSC? I've bitten his toe nails off to. I figure he's a baby - his toes really aren't any dirtier than his fingers.

Trying to muster up some mojo to start my dress shopping. MH is working on our new back deck so I have to take R with me. I just absolutely hate shopping so I'm not exactly in a rush to go.

DH's first weekend of drill is today. So I'm flying solo with the 6 day old and 2 year old. Just have to make it till 1600. I may put my wine in the fridge for tonight. Haha
Finally home and I have my coffee! The bus was practically empty, so no one for R to watch, and she almost fell asleep on the way home. Luckily she was able to stay awake until we got home so she can have a real nap. Mmmm coffee.
