I'm awake and laying in bed playing on my phone. I know V is awake too but she's not asking to get up so I'm trying to decide if I should go get her or if I can attempt to go eat breakfast alone. It's a very tempting thought. She will probably hear the coffee maker though and demand to come downstairs. Why C is still asleep is a mystery but I'm not complaining
6 month photos at my photographer's studio, lunch with friends afterwards, and my stepmom is babysitting the kiddos tonight so H and I can go on a date night.

I was going to name the post march for science Saturday but then wasn't sure if it was just a local March or if they were everywhere. I shoulda done it!
Good luck with solo breakfast vavavictoria! Sorry for the tiredness @kitchen I'm just working a few hours from home which is a nice break. A little stressful because I haven't worked in a few weeks which is a long time for me. I think I'm then going to sneak out for some alone time this afternoon even though DD1 will totally melt down about it. I need to get away. I slept in the guest room last night and DH dealt with DD2s wake ups. I'm the worst version of myself these days from the sleep situation. And no patience for DD1. Hopefully I can break out of it.

N woke up at 5:30, G was up at 6:15, and guess who was up with them? The parent who is supposed to be resting. MH did get up with N, but came back to bed and slept until I woke him up at 7:30. G took a half hour nap in his crib and is currently asleep on me. N's last swim lesson is today for the session; next session both boys go. My ILs will probably be here around noon. I want to eat something besides mashed potatoes and milkshakes.

Enjoy the march @kitchen! Hope the baby feels better soon. vavavictoria, breakfast alone is always the best choice. sanibel21, enjoy the alone time. YH can deal with DD1. Time alone is so necessary for sanity. Hugs to you.
We went grocery shopping already. A friend invited us to the zoo but DH wants to work on his car. I can't decide if I have the energy to take both of them solo.

M is fighting his naps today. But we did manage to get our of the house briefly with him in tow for a dim sum lunch. It didn't last very long (maybe 30 minutes?) but it was a great trial run and some of our favorites came around on the carts so we don't feel we missed out on much.
Raining all weekend so I guess it's just chores. Laundry, cleaning, etc. May hit up Target and groceries tomorrow.

We had the baby's dedication this morning (posting pics on the private board) then went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. The boys are sleeping and DH is going to take the baby to get my car an oil change so I can rest for a little bit. Disney on Ice is at 5! The boys have no idea so I am excited to see their reactions when they find out!

Lazy morning and day here. Started with my mom telling me I should watch the docuseries "the truth about Vaccines" and "what's done is done" but to do my own research for the kids remaining vaccine schedule. No just no mom.
Went to the bottle depot to drop off 6 bags of recyclables. Grabbed some Tims on the way back. DS is napping now. We're sprucing up the outside of our house, switching the light fixture, house numbers and doorbell. Door will happen soon. Painting the trim on the garage.

Any good daycare bag recommendations? Our DCP is asking for more outfits/bibs/etc now that DS is eating solids at daycare. The diaper bag we have we love - it's mediumish and fits everything we need to go out with him, just not everything daycare needs. So rather than constantly swapping out stuff, we just wanna get a second bag.
EDIT: I don't want something like a small duffle bag. I like compartmentalizing everything so its easy for me to check what the bag needs in the morning without having to dig through to see if I forgot something.

macaronmama what about a backpack for daycare instead of a diaper bag? I use one as my pumping bag at work because it has so many compartments and is water resistant too. For actual diaper bag, I use the Skip Hop Duo presently, but will move into a bigger messenger bag for longer trips.

Tbh, I can't believe I didn't even think of a backpack. Way to make things complicated, self. -_- Thanks.
Been up for an hourish, but DS slept for 10 hrs straight, hurrah for miracles.

They make diaper bag backpacks that are really great for once your toddler is not always needing the stroller. Then you can wear the backpack and walk with them. The one I have has a wipes dispenser on the side so super easy to grab.

Can I ask which one you have? Would love to look at it.

They have all kinds and styles. I liked that the ones specifically for kids came with a changing pad and the wipe thing on the side but a lot of people also use Swiss army or some of the fancy backpacks with all the pockets. On the one I have, there are 4 exterior pockets but they're not big- more for things like sunscreen, pacis, snacks, etc... but then the inside is all open except for the back part that holds the changing pad. I don't know that it would have all the separations big enough for clothes but they would hold a lot. What I do for daycare is take like 3 changes of clothes at a time. Then when they send one home dirty, I send one back. I take a pack of diapers that they keep the extras in a cabinet and they use their own bibs and wash them.
