Worked yesterday.
Today experimented with getting DS involved in meal planning. Hard to stay on task but it was a first effort. Shopping went smoothly and then spent the rest of the day puttering around the house. I feel more prepared for the week than I have in a long time.
We're moving into our new house today! Over the last 2 weeks, we had a lot of the house painted, all of the hardwoods refinished, new flooring in a few other rooms - carpet in attic, cork in playroom, vinyl tile in basement, and yesterday we spent the day cleaning and putting up window treatments. I can't wait to get out of this tiny apartment.
I could've written this myself! I feel your...excitement...? ok that sounds wrong. But yeah, moving to a bigger place = awesome!
We've been packing and moving stuff all weekend, and can't wait to get out of our apartment. It feels smaller and smaller every time we come back. I won't miss it. I don't feel sad or nostalgic about leaving at all.
We did a little furniture shopping today. We picked out a new sofa and loveseat set. DH is still hyperventilating over the price, even though he was the one that picked it. It will be delivered tomorrow. I'm over here like

We ended up attempting to explore some new trails yesterday. There was one that DH was excited about that apparently has really cool geological features. It ended up being a bust because they have the road to the trail closed to public and you either have to walk up a very steep road (not great for a 3 year old) just to get to the trail or pay for their guided tour. I'm going to do more research and talk to some coworkers that I know recently did the hike to figure out the best approach. Plus both kids feel asleep on the way, so DH and I just did some exploring as we drove around. We ended doing a short hike after giving LO about an hour nap.
Saturday I took Nugget to the March for Science in Philly. It was a great day, but definitely a long one! I was pretty sore after wearing her for most of the day and being on my feet. She was her usual social butterfly self before the March and had to check out everyone's signs. She had her own little sign that said "All Babies Deserve Clean Air and Clean Water", but only carried it for a few minutes. The birth center where she was born had a nursing moms tent at the end of the March and I saw the midwife who caught her for the first time since she was born, so that was fun.
