Alright ladies! I loved hearing about everyone's appointments and knowing how everyone is feeling! I also loved reading about all the different nursery plans and ideas.
EDD:
How many weeks are you?
Appointments and ultrasounds:
Rants/raves/symptoms:
Questions:
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV?
Appointments and ultrasounds: my next appointment is on the 12th and I will share ultrasound pics afterwards bc it's my anatomy scan.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I pee SOOOO much it is ridiculous. DS2 finally sttn last night but did I? No, because I had to pee all night long. I tend to get really thirsty at night and end up drinking a ton. So it's a vicious cycle. I'm still having meat aversions but other than that no symptoms. Oh, some slight heart burn and the occasional RLP.
Questions: none
GTKY: I'm totally a mini van girl. I like all the space and the ability to crawl back there with the kids. I'm getting one in August and I can't wait.
Appointments and ultrasounds: Next appointment is 5/9 for anatomy scan and fetal echocardiogram.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I've been getting a lot more RLP. I keep forgetting to move slowly! I'm less tired, but still needing a nap on my off days.
Questions: None at the moment
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? We have a 3 row SUV and another 5 seater that my H drives. I'd like a van probably, but love having 4WD and no car payment, at least for my car. The Chrysler Pacifica is really cool, but I'd be scared of the quality.

EDD: 9/17
How many weeks are you? 19 + 1
Appointments and ultrasounds: I had my anatomy scan and checkup on Friday. Everything with baby looked healthy; right on track. Baby's HR was 160. We're team green, so we looked away for that part of the scan. 😉 It sounds like a lot of anatomy scans are coming up... so I'm super excited to find out who's having a boy and who's having a girl here!
Rants/raves/symptoms: I think I can safely say DD is potty trained -- yay! That definitely takes some stress out of my life. Negative pregnancy symptoms are intermittent now: headaches and heartburn in the afternoons/evenings are most common, but not regular. I'm feeling baby kick every day throughout the day (this is a wiggly one for sure, just like his/her big sister). Oh! My need to nest is really starting to kick in. I didn't really feel it so much with DD, but this time is a different story. I already feel the need to clean out all of our closets and start prepping the nursery. 🙋🏼<-- crazy pregnant lady here
GTKY: I drive a CRV currently, but I wouldn't say I'm really one or the other. I guess if I had to pick, I'd say I'm a small SUV person because I prefer to drive more compact vehicles.

EDD: 8/31
How many weeks are you? 21w4d
Appointments and ultrasounds: Had our anatomy scan last week. Next week is a follow up because they couldn't get one image of her heart that we need. FX it goes well.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Time is flying by and I feel like I'm scrambling to get stuff done. I know there's still plenty of time left but it's going so fast. I still am not feeling baby move consistently. I know I started to feel DS at 23 weeks so it should start anytime now.
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? SUV. Nothing against the minivans but I just bought a GMC acadia and it is true love. We'll have two in carseats and then my ss so we wanted something with a 3rd row.

EDD: 9/2/17
How many weeks are you? 21 weeks
Appointments and ultrasounds: next ultra sound and OB appointment is next Tuesday.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Been feeling pretty good actually. I've just been physically tired a lot. I had some sciatica issues with DD, but later on. I'm already feeling it this time around, but I'm thinking it's because baby is sitting so low.
Questions: Did any STMs take birth classes? We didn't do them the first time around, but I wasn't completely happy with my birth experience (nurse has me start pushing way too early "just to practice" and I ended up tearing-which I know will probably happen again)...but I'm thinking of at least being a little more educated/prepared this time around.
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? I would like to be an SUV person...but right now a mini van is what we have. It is more feasible with DD being such a large toddler. DH had a yukon when she was younger and now a GMC Sierra and I couldn't get her bucket seat up in either vehicle (no upper body strength) so an SUV with babies/toddlers just doesn't work for me. I drive a lot for work, so the plan is to drive my van until it's paid off and/or dies and then I will get an SUV that I want.

@wicky , one kid can warrant a mini van...we had one when DD was younger but It was a lease so I had to trade it in because I was getting a new job and knew I would blow through the miles. It's also nice because they're so low and kids can climb in/out easier.

Rants/raves/symptoms: Cervix paranoia is taking over my mind. We are going on vacation next week and part of me wants to squeeze in to the OB for a cervix check before we go, but the other part of me is afraid of what I will find. I am sure everything's fine. Except how can I be? Symptoms include being physically tired much more quickly and needing to pee in the middle of the night. And lots of movement from little flipper!
Questions: Anyone else feel like tearing off their labia? Okay, that's an exaggeration but I feel like the engorgement between my legs has started way earlier this time. Anything near my nether regions is annoying because it's so touch-sensitive. Not itchy or sore, just so. freaking. sensitive.
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? Are those my only two options? If so, then I would have to say SUV. If not, then pick-up; I have driven a Tundra for the last 5 years and I don't think I can go back now!

wells2010, we got the Pacifica in December. We have always had GM vehicles, so we weren't crazy about getting a Chrysler, but my parents have the original Pacifica from like 2002 and it still drives great! So that was really the reason we got it and weren't terribly concerned and our dealership offers lifetime warranty, so hopefully any repairs that do come up aren't too costly.

laurenash323 last time we did Birth Boot Camp online because I was on bed rest. I loved it - very scientific, not too hippy dippy, gave me lots of tools to use no matter how the birth went. They offer a refresher package which I will probably do; I will also review the manual I got last time and re-watch the breastfeeding DVD.

laurenash323, I didn't really find the childbirth class we took last time useful. We just took the basic course, but I did not really learn anything or "use" any of the info during labor or delivery. 😔 The most useful part was the tour of the maternity ward. It was very general information, which is fine since every labor and delivery is different and obviously they can't cover everything.
So, anyway... since you've given birth once before, you pretty much KNOW what's going to happen (at least in general). But maybe look into a childbirth "refresher" course. I think I'm going to try to find a course like that since I'll be delivering at a different hospital with a different practice this time. Or, look into a Lamaze class or something like that if you're interested.
laurenash323, I have never done a birthing class but I always read my birthing book and practice all of my breathing before labor. I also have DH read the part for the H so he knows what I need when the time comes.
salmon2017, I haven't gotten any sensitivity down there yet but I'm sure it's coming. Have you tried wearing skirts/dresses to limit the amount rubbing against you?
I would love to be a SUV girl but the ease of a van is just to nice. Also, the thought of crawling over seats to get kids in and out of car seats doesn't appeal to me at all. So minivan it is. I want a Honda...with movie players and a built in vacuum!
Appointments and ultrasounds: Had our A/S last week so follow up OB this Thurs. The doctor did email me and said that the ultrasound looked great and she would go over it in detail with me at my appt.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Ugh, my hips and lower back are so sore/stiff in the morning. I sleep with a pregnancy pillow, but I still can't seem to find a position to ease the sore/stiffness. Post nasal drip is still annoying. I cough a lot due to it. I did buy a nasal rinse kit, but I've been too lazy to dig it out and do it. So I've just been dealing with it. Other than that, feeling pretty goodish for pregnant.
Questions: nada
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? Mini van all the way. We bought one right before DD was born. I love love love the sliding/automatic doors and all the room and storage. It has a built in DVD player that is so nice on long trips. Plus, DH loves it to haul things. He has gotten 8ft shelves in it. It was also so nice when DD was nursing and we would be out and about to put DS in the van with me, turn it on and he could watch a show while I nursed.

leviosa absolutely. I have pretty much completely switched to dresses and skirts after making a big mistake this weekend with some jeans on a Costco trip. I also (while at Costco) picked up 10 pairs of cotton panties two sizes bigger than normal. Not sexy, but I give zero shits
DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)
laurenash323 I never did a refresher course. We did a lamaze class with our first, but I didn't really use any of it except the breathing. I found with my second I was able to handle things a whole lot better having been through it before and knowing what to expect. My hospital gives out a book about pregnancy/labor so I just read through that again before my second baby.
Appointments and ultrasounds: Nothing until May. We are surprise Team Green after our anatomy scan which is a lot of fun.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Count me as one of the moms for whom potty training is a big fat failure. But we keep trying. I have food aversions all over the place - I hate most meats, anything soft (fuck you tortillas) and then sometimes, halfway through eating things, I realize I hate them. It's the most amazing.
Questions: Nothing for me - we did a couple different birthing classes and a breastfeeding class. I've been thinking about doing something again but I'll probably just read if I need to. I think being a STM helps because I know what I want to avoid/do differently this time. The first time you're so unsure about things.
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? Of those two, SUV. We are sedan people though - we both drive them. I'd like an SUV at some point but we have hybrids and that makes it harder and limits the options.

EDD: I'll say Sept. 2 but really I won't go past Aug. 19 (I'm just gonna stay hanging with y'all if that's ok though?!)
How many weeks are you? 21w2d
Appointments and ultrasounds: had f/u AS today but the babies will not stop moving...they still couldn't get all the measurements. But we had good hb and they're measuring great (for everything they could measure). I have OB Wednesday and then go back for another scan in 3 weeks.
Rants/raves/symptoms: heartburn and constipation are my nemeses at the moment...some nights of crummy sleep. I also get so thirsty at night and then am up all night peeing.
Questions: nothing today!
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? I love my SUV, I have a Durango with three rows...I wish it had a DVD player and I'm sure a mini van would be really nice with kids. But this car is paid off so I'm going to try to hang onto it for now.

I guess it would help if it wasn't blank. My apologies!
EDD: 9/24
How many weeks are you? 18+1
Appointments and ultrasounds: I have my a/s on Wednesday, so I'm very excited and nervous for that.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I'm still using my doppler at home for reassurance and now I'm 99% sure I'm feeling movement, so that is reassuring also.
Questions: none right now.
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? Definitely SUV. I just paid mine off, so I'd like to hang on to it for a while. We are probably only going to have 2, so I'm hoping it will work out fine.

Hi! I've been MIA for a while - sorry about that! Life has been hectic!
EDD: 9/22 by my count; 9/20 is my official EDD from my OB
How many weeks are you? 18w5d by my count; 19w by OB's
Appointments and ultrasounds: My Level 2 A/S is on Friday and I am getting really nervous. Last OB appt was 4/10 and nothing to note aside from my OB giving me a "red mark" for "excessive weight gain." Sigh. Next OB appt is 5/8 and now I have nightmares about weight gain every single night...yay.
Rants/raves/symptoms: My metabolism hates me. My headaches are killing me during the day and night.
Questions: None right now, except "why does my metabolism hate me?" LOL
GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? I am SO an SUV person. That said, right now I drive a sedan. My H is REALLY trying to talk me into a mini van. I get the convenience (especially the doors) and the comfort, but I really like the look of an SUV so much more (and I've driven mostly SUVs in the past - I always go back and forth from sporty sedan to SUV). But I have a feeling I'll end up with a mini van by early next year. If that happens, I plan to make myself a decal for the window that says "I used to be cool." Hahaha!

EDD: September 8th How many weeks are you? 20 + 5 Appointments and ultrasounds: Anatomy scan was today. Baby is 100% healthy. And we are officially team BLUE! Rants/raves/symptoms: I'm a bit disappointed that DS was kind of meh at finding out he's getting a brother.. "But I wanted a sister!" Lol. Questions: GTKY: are you a mini van kind of person or an SUV? I had an suv, but now I have a sedan, and I have no plans on changing that because I am in love with my gas mileage .
A/S was Monday and went well. Anterior placenta confirms why I've only been feeling very gentle movement so far. Babe didn't want to give us a profile. I didn't think it was a big deal but OB said today they'll send me for another In about 4-6 weeks when babe is bigger and maybe in a new position. Also we are team BLUE which I'm super excited about!
Right SI pain like last time but otherwise I feel good.
Gtky: never had a mini van but love my traverse SUV. Id love some sliding doors though!
Appointments/Ultrasounds: saw my OB last Thursday and she said the baby was moving all around (she had to chase it with the Doppler), but I still can't feel much (anterior placenta). My anatomy scan is 5/10!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: feeling pretty well. Ready for my allergies to go away.
Questions: nope
GTKY: minivan, for sure. I feel like the third row SUVs don't have any storage with all the rows up. I drive an SUV now and love it, but we will be moving on to a minivan for my next vehicle.

Coming back in to say I think the a/s went well today. We won't have official results until next week, but they said everything looked good. We are officially team PINK! DD seems less than thrilled, but maybe she will warm up.
