Oh the rain...so much rain. We've had a couple nice days but not more than a couple together in so long, it's messing with my mojo. Heading to OB for checkup soon...scared of scale, but always happy to hear heartbeats. We had scan on Monday but I'll take all the chances I can get to see/hear them!!

This is the mood I am in today. I just watched the following email exchange:
Person 1: salmon, can you please provide person 2 a cost code to print the report? Me: sure, the cost code is X 1: Thanks salmon! 2: Thanks salmon! 2: Finished printing the report! 1: Good job, 2! 2: Thanks, happy to help anytime! 1: Thanks!
Me (not emailed): Seriously? How many freaking pats on the back do we all need? Idiots.
DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)
I am a CD mom and I just got my Earth Day orders which is a lot of fun. So we're fully stashed up for a newborn baby and should be good to go as baby grows.
I am also adding all the things to my BabyList registry. I had a major meltdown yesterday about H's job and money and how we can afford two kids (spoiler alert: we can't) so apparently window shopping is the solution?
It has been a morning so far with DS- screaming for no reason other than to prove he can, running in circles, kicking a balloon around, and trying to climb all over me. Best moment so far: he was climbing the shelf his tv is on to try and get my empty mug and I told him to stop. He charges toward me while growling... Only an hour or so til nap time!
I think we must have the same child Super awesome fun at 6:15 this morning - time to pee and then go to school. Didn't want to pee, had total meltdown, took till 6:40 to calm down. Now late for school and work. Peed in the car seat on the way to school. Beam me up.

Sorry to hear about all the rough mornings. We have actually had a pretty good one. I had a productive morning with DD and DS2 had swim lessons. Poor thing passed out in the car. I put him in bed for nap and he hasn't moved an inch.
I need to work on laundry. It has already piled back up on me. I can never get ahead and stay ahead. With a fourth child, it's only going to get worse.

leviosa well done executing a successful car seat to bed transfer! I have never achieved that. Car naps always ruin the rest of the day. And I hear you on the laundry. I feel like clothes never make it back to our drawers/closets. We are always getting dressed from the clean laundry basket because I haven't managed to fold it yet.

To all the moms worried about chores...
I just came across this today. I need this sign in my house. ETA I need it to remind myself that it's ok if some of these things are true... as longs as the kids are happy! Haha
Hey guys. I went MIA on you all, sorry about that-- I wasn't able to juggle my life well enough to keep up on here. But, I'd like to pop back in if you'll still have me!
Gotta read through some of these posts to see how everyone is doing!
We just found out yesterday that we're having twins. So that's my life right now.

I am ecstatic that SO bought me a cordless handheld Dyson vacuum. We have 3 dogs, and one is a 2-coated corgi who appears to shed a layer a day. I am going insane with the springtime shedding, and the new vacuum is a dream.
TTC since '08 ME: PCOS, late DH: CBAVD due to CF IVF #1-6 all fresh cycles, all BFN Lost DH in 2015 due to CF Met SO and started TTC again SO: quality issues, started Clomid BFP 1/13/17, natural cycle (!) Due 9/19/17
My H has one (firefighter). He really likes it. He wants to wear his ring all of the time (a superstition he has) and his ring is titanium or something that you can't cut off. That makes it dangerous if he were to ever hurt his finger or hand and it swelled to the point where he couldn't slip it off.
I was thinking of getting one too for work and just for something different. anniebn

I usually let him sleep in the car with the doors open so I can hear him (I check on him constantly). Today he turned blue in the pool and his lips were still blue tinged so I was worried about him. Which is why I brought him in. The pool makes him so exhausted which is really the only reason I was able to transfer him. It usually doesn't work.
I just impulse bought the rock n play in the pinned post. We don't NEED one but an additional place to put this baby while tending to DS is going to be beneficial, right?? And 50% off is a good deal on a baby item, right?? I mean I could always cancel it before it ships since there is at least a month before it would ship. This is why I'm bad at impulse things, I always feel guilty when I don't necessarily need to!
I almost bought one, too...still considering it. We got one at a consignment sale but I actually haven't even checked to see if it works yet...and I don't need two of everything but this is one thing that I think two would be good and the price is right!!

Whelp. My pregnancy just got a whole lot more high risk. I accidentally cut myself at work yesterday, while dissecting an organ from an autopsy. Due to a set of freak circumstances, we have no way to test the patient to find out his HIV status. He also reported a history of Hepatitis C, which we can't confirm.
So now I'm on anti-retrovirals for the foreseeable future, and have to go in for blood work several times over the next 6 months. The baby will be here before I can even get officially cleared. Talk about stressful. Ugg.
The good news is that it was a very superficial cut that didn't even bleed until after I washed it, so the actual odds of transmission are slim. But it's still nerve wracking that we won't know for sure for 6 months. Ahhhhhhhh!

Yikes RajahMD that's scary!! I'm glad the actual chance of transmission is low and hopefully all will be fine. But that's a no fun thing to deal with for 6mo!

Holy crap RajahMD! I knew you worked in the medical field (though couldn't remember any specifics) but didn't know you were exposed to those types of situations. Yikes!! Glad your risk of any actual transmission are super low but way to add another hurdle to your pregnancy!
Thanks! Yesterday was definitely rough mentally/emotionally. I'm a lot calmer today, thank goodness.
And yeah, I'm a pathology resident. So we have all sorts of potential exposures.

Also, is the reasoning of 6 months because that's how long it could potentially take to be detected? I've never had to deal with this type of situation so I have no idea RajahMD
6 months gives you plenty of time to be sure that you haven't "converted". So they'll check Hep C antibodies and liver function tests. Waiting that long ensures that your body didn't just take awhile to form the antibodies, and that transmission absolutely did not occur.
HIV can actually be confirmed sooner I believe, because we have different types of testing for HIV that can detect the presence of the virus sooner. But they'll probably still test me until 6 months since they'll be testing me for Hep C anyway.
