I'm hanging out here this period while my AP kids take part of their final exam (although I should be grading some other stuff...). They take their real AP exam next Tuesday!!! After that, my workload here at school-and my stress level-will go way down. I can't wait.
Thanks 2dumbdogs I think we may want to try the closer options first and see how that goes.
We just did Eisenhower on Easter and I was surprised at how challenging some of the trails got! It also has port a potties on the trail and lots of accessible paths, so opportunities to let kiddos get down and run around. There is also a playground and pavilion right at the parking lot. I liked it a lot.
Have any of you guys done MOTN sleep training lately?
DH has been "helping" at night. Which means I get more sleep, which is great. But I think it isn't doing E any favors for his nighttime sleep. DH goes in right away when he hears him, takes him down to get a snack, etc, etc. So it is a big old mess right now for MOTN. I am thinking I want to try doing some training with him but don't really want to give up the sleep. We did CIO with no checks originally for bedtime but I'm thinking doing some checks doing MOTN might be best at this point. If we do CIO with no checks for MOTN, he will cry for up to 2 hours+ and I'm not willing for any of us to go through that. DH isn't great about sticking to a plan (or listening to E cry) so I feel like I'll have to do it. I'm trying to decide if I should do it now or just wait for summer...
@betweenthelines, drink the tea instead of the coffee, then coffee once in office. I drink my tea while getting the kids ready and then my coffee at the office.

@poppykisses, I'd definitely talk with your OB. For me, I wouldn't go, but that's because my OB warned me that if I decide to have a second, I should get to the hospital as soon as I feel contractions because things moved so quickly for me and she wouldn't want me to have a baby in a car.
esgrunner we did sleep training for middle of the night wake ups. I did first check at 10 minutes, felt to see if he needed a diaper change, but didn't pick him up unless I had to change his diaper. M is okay if I rub his back and tell him softly to go to sleep. Second check 10-15 minutes. If I go back in I would turn on his glow worm with the face down so it wasn't as bright. I don't recall ever needing a third check.
We had to do this after few wad sick for a while and we got in a bad habit of going in and giving him milk and rocking. Totally worth it though.

Yeah. I'm going to give that a try tomorrow. I don't leave myself time to do anything extra in the mornings, so I'll have to work on that. I literally wake up, pee, brush my teeth, make sure my hair isn't a hot mess, get dressed and leave. All in 20 minutes.
Guys, help! My kids love the Disney channel, and now I have the theme from Elena of Avalor stuck in my head. In a kingdom old and grand... I need something to replace it.
ampaints, my good friend, who goes by the name Gibbz, is taking off. He is considered to be electro-pop, but he's got some pretty great stuff. He does all his own music and engineering. He's on Google Play Music if you're looking for a new listen.
ETA - his newest album Above Water is really good.
