yepp. I was just telling bootsorhearts I have so many more growing, stretching, rlp pains this time around. I have to be careful how I stand up from squatting or sitting on a low stool. Otherwise, BAM instant cramp that is quite unpleasant.
Working 5 days a week is utter bullshit. Who's idea was this?
Try 6 days + 10-12 hrs...that's what I've been doing the last 3 weeks! 4 work days is ideal with a 3 days weekend. Should have just about enough time to catch up with house shit and have 1 day to recoup and recover. My dad actually worked 5 full days and half days Saturdays which was the norm in my home country although OT was non-existent.aveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave
thatgirlrachel I don't know about that particular beverage, but I do know that the recommended limit on caffeine is 200mg, so you're still well within the limit.
Well I also had a 9 oz cup from my Keurig this morning as well. And since I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly how much caffeine is in k-cups, I usually opt for decaf after my "real" coffee in the morning just to be safe.
I am sure you'll be fine. Just one day of extra caffeine if it is isn't going to make or break anything Heck! some friends of mine would occasionally have a glass of wine during their pregnancy. All in moderation.SaveSave

starmile, welcome back! how was your trip? The first week is the hardest. Hope your DD will have a better run than DS, We started last June and....still doing it We just have to deal with pee - won't tell us when he needs to go, too busy toddlering to let us know. He's got poop down pat though and will let us know, and he's been pooping in the toilet since 18 months but still it;s getting old with all the wet undies. I am a little lost now about his pee situation.
This side pain isn't going away. Doc checked my kidneys at the OB appt today but god damn this is uncomfortable. It's not only gas pain, and that no longer makes it feel better.

I had a very bizarre side pain with DD that I also was convinced was kidney or gallbladder related and it ached terribly on and off, probably from 10-20 weeks and then it just disappeared. We never found out what it was. #anecdote

Yes, pretty often. Every time I sneeze I have to brace myself. Anytime I stand up too quickly, roll over in bed, sit down too fast... seems like it happens more this pregnancy than past pregnancies. It's probably because i'm getting old too though.
But does it last a while? Not just for a few moments during the sneeze/roll over/get up motions? Also, I can press on a particular spot and it is very tender.
A few weeks back I woke up early in the am with a super painful mostly left side abdominal pain and lots of pelvic pressure. It was horrid and lasted several hours. It didn't feel like RLP - I don't remember having pain like that last with DS. Wanted to call the doc but by the time I was getting ready to go to work and had my usual BM I felt fine the rest of the day. A couple of days later it came back and it persisted throughout the day and I called the doctor in the afternoon because I still had pelvic pressure. After speaking with the doc, he thought it could be from constipation and didn't empty everything out even though I have a BM everyday although it occurred to me that I didn't have my am BM that day but offered for me to come to to do an US but unfortunately I couldn't due to work and wouldnt have been able to get there before he had to leave for a delivery. Anyways I managed to have a BM that night and felt a little better and ever since then I've made sure I was eating enough fiber and have not had any pain since then. How far along are you? I was about 13+ wks I think when that happened?SaveSaveSaveSave

See my post above, maybe you need to empty out your bowel but yes it was absoluatley horrid. I think as long as you're not having any bleeding it could just be your ute expanding and cramping the other organs...not like we have much room in there to begin with. SaveSave

yes!! Constipation causes all sorts of discomfort and cramping and spotting. I went to the ob fearing the worst. But it was just an irritated cervix and constipation.

RE: pain, also I forgot to mention, I was also waking up abruptly/too fast turning out of bed and also realized I was on my back when I woke up to run to the bathroom when the pains occurred and have been conscious of taking it slow since then and wedging a pillow behind my back so I don't fall onto my back sleeping - I am not a back sleeper and hate sleeping on my back to begin with. I also forget now that I have what seems like a growing boulder in front of me.

ssm, OMG! if that's what it was it was absolute horridness! I've never had constipation before and it was just from a little over 24 hrs not having a BM...I feel awful for those that are dealing with it. I've since doubled my flax meal intake with my oatmeal, dump another tbsp into my yogurt and eating 2 ripe pears + an apple and other fruits and doubled my prunes in my snack bag. Seriously awful! this constipation thing.

I haven't had a chance to catch up yet but AW alert - my period came back today!!! Who knew I'd ever be so excited for this. I'm not sure I ovulated though which is weird but I'm not going to focus on that right now.
ETA weird is probably not the right word. Not typical for me is probably better but who knows what my new normal will be now.
starmilessm Any particular PT method you all tried to employ? I'm going to do it with Dd when school lets out (she'll be 2 and some change) and I can be home all day, everyday with her. I'm reading "Oh Crap" potty training right now but am not tied to any particular idea for approaching this! Just want it done before dd2 gets here!

Allergies have been kicking DD's and my butts. Her poor nose is so stuffed so back on Claritin it is for her... feeling mostly okay, still have some nausea moments at night but not too bad.
cougarette have you read marie kondo's book on purging? I was purging like mad right up until I was stopped by nausea and exhaustion. I've been meaning to get back at it :/

Oh man, it feels like all my F15 friends are potty training and I'm not. DS is definitely not ready yet. He will hide to poop, which is apparently a sign, but since he doesn't talk much he certainly can't tell us when he needs to go.
Luckily the 2 year old room will help with that, and he moves up in August. I think his early interventionist could help us too.

I went to change ds diaper (just over 2yrs). I asked if he wanted to pee on the potty. He said yes. He peed. I put on a new diaper. An hour later, he was still dry. I asked again about potty. He said yes again and peed again.
I realized he was ready.
I went diaper free. I took him to the bathroom every 10 to 15 minutes for several days. We had a few accidents. But every 10 to 15 minutes I took him. Once he started being able to go between those time periods without accidents, I started stretching it to 20 to 30 minutes. And continued adding increments of time as he was more capable of holding his bladder. Eventually I got to an hour between bathroom trips. When we were at church, I still would put him in a diaper some, but I told his teachers to take him to the bathroom every 20 minutes. He was having accidents there because he was distracted playing with his friends.
I didn't really read any books or anything like that. I just kind of winged it.

A lot of my March15 moms are potty training too. I haven't even attempted because she hasn't shown many signs. She likes putting toilet paper in after I've used the bathroom, but that's about it.

Ugh I'm sorry you're in pain too. Poop is the worst!
My big issue is I don't feel constipated or even feel like I need to go to the bathroom. I'm just in pain.

ssm @dustymonkey and everyone else I can't remember who commented on RLP/abdominal pain.
I don't think mine is constipation. I guess it could be but I'm pretty regular. I've been sneezing (lbh, snissing) the past week and I threw up a few times this past weekend. I guess I'm chalking it up to RLP, all the growing/changing/adjusting that happens with a growing baby inside, and overdoing it with my abdominal muscles with the puking and sneezing....

Trip was great... tiring, but fun
Oh gosh, that sounds awful, I'm sorry! Have you heard of the book Oh Crap Potty Training? That's what we are using and I was browsing through her troubleshooting chapters. She talks about if there are still accidents constantly that the building blocks aren't solid and recommends going back to naked time and the basics. We are only two days in but I've heard great things about her method and it seems very logical.

Yes we are doing Oh Crap too. Definitely makes sense to me, and today went really well! Only 1 accident, and we got a bunch of pee plus a poop in the potty. DD is 32 mo which is slightly older than the author recommends but so far so good.

We did this book w DS1. Followed it very closely. We did diapers at nap and night for a while (maybe nap for a few weeks and night for maybe a few months) but otherwise it very totally bye bye diapers. We didn't go anywhere for a few days, did the no clothes thing, didn't do undies at first, no pull ups ever etc. The only thing I did differently was rewards because I knew it would work for DS1. 1 M&m for pee. 2 for poop. As I have learned with my two vary different boys, all kids are different and respond to different methods. I can say this worked like a charm for DS1 and we were very strict about following which I think helped our success. I plan on doing the same for DS2 but he is so different who knows if it work so well again.
I should add that DS1 was exactly 3 so I think that helped us too. In her book 3 is too old but he was in the magic zone where it was the perfect time for him and for us. Parents need to be ready too!

It could be from all that. However I am pretty daily regular too and didn't think that was the problem but once I upped my fiber intake it all went away. It could all be coincidence though but so far so good. DNW to be in that kind of pain I felt a few wks ago. It was hours of agony.SaveSave
